Excellent Read-Aloud Book.......1999-11-25

This book was my 20-month-old son's absolute favourite for a long, long time. The way the animals' dialogue was structured, made this book excellent for reading aloud to young children, beginning to grasp the concept of story-telling. In no time at all, my son was imitating Foxy Loxy's sly "Well, well, well". The flaps also allowed for curious young fingers to participate in story time. Highly recommended for children from 15-months onwards.

A hilarious, colorful, one-of-a-kind book for preschoolers........1999-10-18

This is our favorite picture book. It is so funny that my kids squeal with laughter when we read it, and call each other by the names of the characters. The only problem is that they know it completely by heart, so I have to put it away every so often for a while. A must for every home with preschoolers.

A lovely, sweet book!.......2004-01-03

After visiting my family in Puerto Rico I wanted to return to London with some books written in spanish for my baby boy. I fell in love with this book and so has he. It has very sweet illustrations and a wonderful, simple story that has encouraged my child to want to keep exploring this beautiful language. It's use of rhythm has bewitched both mother and son!

This book is very cool and funny . I liked this book . this book was about this chicken who thinks th sky is falling , she calls her friends and they are going to tell the president, when they were on the airplanechicken licken discovers the she was wron the sky wasn't falling.

I liked think that it was realy cool,funny and interesting. I would recomend you this book for children i think you will like it. this book is about a chicken that some thing fell on her head an he thoug that the sky was falling. A great read-aloud book!.......2001-02-10

My 2-year old grandchild loves this anthology of classic children's stories. Her favorite is Chicken Licken (a real page turner), but there's also Little Red Riding Hood (not for the faint-hearted) and The Gingerbread Man. The pictures are colorful and geared to please the young and the young at heart. The stories are written with humor and verve, so they are fun to read out loud. I highly recommend this one.
