Born out of the popular Bay Area club The Upper Room, Late Nite at the Upper Room begins with a hopeful chant of "In the Upper Room" starting the 10-song EP into a flavorful stew of hip-hop, jazz and world beats. The main characters, Mohammed "Mystic" Bilal and Will "Will Power" Wylie marinate the grooves with conceptual abstract rhymes that blend each rhythmic pulse like butter. Tracks such as "Runaway" and "Heaven" are unforgettable if not nostalgic images of hustlin, livin and lovin in the Fillmoe and the West Coast underground scene. Produced at The Foundation and Upper Room Studios by Family Tree Productions.
