Awesome creepy music to escape with........2006-10-31

Are you tired of the $3.99 Halloween Cds you find at your local Grocery Store?
Are you tired of listening to doors creaking and people screaming?
Are you tired of handing out candy to little kids for halloween?
Want to get away from it all, and try something very very scary?

If you answer these questions with a "Yes," then here you are.
Sit back and relax, and listen as Don Davis brings you his score to the 1999 remake of..."The House On Haunted Hill." Enter...if you dare.
In this music we hear the cries of souls imprisoned in this house of terror, as they accept an invitation to stay the night, only to be confronted by a horrifying history, and demonic ghouls that lurk in this house of madness.

Yet, in the midst of this madness are tracks 5, and 11, that can give you the feeling of piece and relaxation, but...not for long, for the rest of the Cd will chill your blood in more ways than one. Highly recommended to those who want something to spice up your Halloween festivities. Beware, for once you buy this Cd, there is no turning back.

Exceeds The Matrix & "Reloaded".......2006-04-18

Don Davis is one of my favorite film composers. His atonality has always drawn me into the movies he scores, particularly his work on the Matrix trilogy. However, I recently purchased this album of Amazon, and... I am blown away by this. Every single cue is excellently-written. Comparing this score to that of The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded, this seems to be of better taste, making a close second to "The Matrix Revolutions" in my book.

I enjoyed the use of that frantic chorus throughout the film, shining through particularly in the cues "Pencil Neck" and "Soir?e ? Saturation," which is also probably one of my favorite bits on the album. I reccomend this to any Davis fan, horror movie fans, and, basically anu film music listener.

Great theme and creepy music........2003-11-25

Don Davis's score for the high octane remake of William Castle's House on Haunted Hill gets off to an excellent start with the knock your socks off main theme. What follows that is nice, albeit not particularly special or memorable (with the exception of a cue or three), atmospheric enhancements. Great haunted house musice for those dark, foggy nights reading Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft.

What really makes a movie turn good is the music and considering that Don Davis should get most of the credit as he did such a super job on making the music to go well for the movie. When i watched the movie I couldn't believe my hear when i heard such beatiful music. Don't take my word for it but to check it out for your self! Go and buy or rent the movie before buying the CD.

When i saw the movie i wanted the soundtrack because of the marilyn manson song "Sweet Dreams" and to my surprise it was not listed in the tracks wassupwitdat?
