This is the one fans have been asking for. A recording that contains the hilarious and completely captivating tale of Dirty Joe, a pirate who steals socks, and his equally odious sister, Stinky Annie, who steals underwear. Also on this record is an audio version of "Joey, Chloe, And The Swamp Monsters" (previously only available on the video, "Who Made This Mess"), "The King Of The Clams", and the song story, "Bow Wow Wow".

5 out of 5 stars very lively, imaginative. tolerable for adults!.......2007-06-07

The stories are fun, and relate to kids' emotions/feelings etc. And he is talented story-teller too. Nice, intelligent sense of humor kids can relate to.
I played it in the car. My 7 year old who only likes classical music enjoyed it, and my I-can't-stand-kids-stuff husband did not protest...!

5 out of 5 stars Storytelling at it's Best.......2007-03-17

I bought this CD for my 20 month old grandson and not only did he love it - I did too! I keep it in my car's CD player and more than once caught myself listening to it when he wasn't in the car! It is captivating.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest CD EVER.......2006-07-22

Ok, maybe that's hyperbole. But how do you describe a CD that LIVES in your car CD player? Kept company by the 5 OTHER Bill Harley discs that live there too, of course.
This is the disc that I give at every kid birthday party I go to. It's the disc that I like to listen to without the kids. It's the disc that is worth the price alone just to have the free-verse number about the dog. This is the best money you'll spend this year on music. What are you waiting for?

5 out of 5 stars Great CD!.......2006-07-22

I enjoyed this and listen to it sometimes with no children around! However the children talk about the stories and will listen to them over and over again to the point of knowing dialog. Lighthearted and entertaining, you will find yourselve humming the songs. You can't go wrong with any of Bill Harley's work!

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely hilarious and captivating....for all ages!.......2006-07-07

My grandsons, age two and four, have insisted that this CD find its way into the house from the car stereo! Totally amusing and laugh-out-loud funny. Engages the visual imagination like old-time radio shows. A hands-down hit with omomm, mommy, daddy, auntie HaHa and Uncle Go-go-Gus. Superb wit and performance.

5 out of 5 stars "When the EAST is in the house? Oh my GOD!" (4.5/5).......2007-03-19

Blahzay Blahzay's only album, 1996's "Blah Blah Blah," is an awesome, consistent album of great east coast hip hop. Blahzay Blahzay, consisting of rapper Outloud and producer PF Cuttin', were kind of the last of the line of the great New York DJ/MC duos (see Eric B. & Rakim, Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, Gang Starr). Although they sound nothing like these acts, they have such a focused and consistent sound like they do because the rapper and DJ have such a great chemistry. The production on this album is just awesome. The beats are really fresh and creative sounding, they sound rugged and tough yet are incredibly polished. There's a little nostalgia to them but for the most part they still sound awesome even ten years later. He crafts his hooks with lines from classic rap tracks in a style not to far from DJ Premier. As a rapper Outloud is really cool to listen to. He comes across as rough without being a gangster or too threatening. He bashes the sucker MCs and clowns like a classic New York battle rapper, but his storytelling and metaphors set him apart. His creativity is best shown when he becomes a little more abstract. "Blah Blah Blah" is classic east coast material, an awesome, totally underrated album that I highly recommend.

After an enticing intro, the album begins with the title track. This song has great production with a chaotic sounding piano line and thumping beats. Outloud lets loose, assserting his superiority. "Danger, Pt. 2," curiously placed before its predecessor on the tracklist, has a cool beat and raw lyricism. "Don't Let This Rap S... Fool You" is standard east coast battle rap, an awesome track. The more upbeat "Pain I Feel" is catchy. "Posse Jumpa" has simple production and angry verses. Lyrically the highlight is "Good Cop/Bad Cop," a conceptual gem where Outloud recounts a police brutality from the cop's perspective. "Sendin' Dem Back" and "Long Winded" are verbally more simple and sound awesome musically. The nice "Jackpot" precedes the final track, this album's classic single "Danger," an east coast anthem. The beat is superb and the lyrics match it.

"Blah Blah Blah" is a unique sounding album that I recommend to the utmost for fans of east coast hip hop. Musically and lyrically it is phenomenal. Unfortunately, like far too many great 90s acts, Blahzay Blahzay was one and done and were never heard from again after dropping this classic. This is one of the most slept-on classics from New York, it got no credit even immediately after its release. This is great music, I highly suggest a purchase.

4 out of 5 stars Hot album during the Golden Age of Hip-Hop..........2006-11-15

Now mind you, I am writing this review about ten years late. But I stumbled across this album and had to put my two cents in. I actually got this album on it's relase date, I remember the single had all of NYC on smash the entire summer. I played this album three or four times a day for months. I lent out my original copy, lost it, bought another one and it contiued to spin. This was one of my favorite albums of 96 trailing only "It Was Written" (The God Nasir Jones), "All Eyes on Me" & "Don Killuminati" (Tupac Shakur). I haven't listened to this album in about eight or nine years, and I am currently buying it again. I know the sound has changed a lot since these days. Back then, it was about creativity, now it's about marketing. But this album was in heavy rotation in NYC back in 96 and I would do these cats a dis-service by not giving them their props for putting out a semi-classic. I can't give it classic status only because you look at the other albums I cited from 96, it's not in that class, but if you loved 90's hip hop, you are playing yourself by not copping this here...

5 out of 5 stars BANGIN.......2006-10-12

Everyone should read UNSPOKENHEARD's review....Straight truth. I couldnt have said it better myself. Blahzay put out a tight album that never got the credit it deserved. Im from NY and back in 96 I heard Danger on an underground station and immediately bought the album. It was all good. I never understood why he never became more famous.

5 out of 5 stars One of the most slept on in 1996 .......2006-05-02

Blah Blah Blah is one of the most underrated and slept on albums ever to come out of NY, period. DJ PF Cuttin & MC Out loud became known for their single "Danger" which immediately blew heads away back in 1995/1996. It became so well known in hiphop circles back then, DJ Premier decided to do a remix of the track. BUT, as soon as the album dropped nobody paid it any attention, which seemed absurd. This made me curious, leading me to presume that maybe the album was inconsistent and 'Danger' must have been the only tight track on the album. So I gave it a listen... Man, was I in for a shock. From track 1-13 there is not one weak track on the album! You will find some of the best mid 90's beats on here with the typical dark/heavy bassed and even original samples on this album! And of course, MC Out loud comes 100% correct in an attempt to ensure his debut didn't flop. Tracks like the amazing title track "Blah Blah Blah", provide heads with an elegant piano loop leaving you junkies fiending for more. Leading on to such tracks as "Danger pt 2", which is equally as brilliant as the orginal, and "Pain I feel" you will find the album posesses a satisfying consistency that ensures that you are not reaching for the skip button. Unfortunately Blahzay Blahzay will always be known as "one hit wonders" because of sheer ignorance from hiphop fans which seems to be a fear for one too many artists nowadays. So, make up for it and give this album a peep, and realise that Blahzay Blazay are not the inconsistent "one hit wonders" they have became to be known as. PEACE

Hahahaha,
Oh, Riggs. What the hell? I bought this album strictly for the reason Zombie wasn't in it (sorry Rob). Shadowing the footsteps of the great white zombie himself, SOTE, freaking tripped over its own feet... So I know what your thinking, why the hell did you buy it if it isn't that great. Well kids, that's what I do! I buy crap! Then I come here to write about everything that doesn't have to do with it, and basically tell you to check it out for yourself, so you don't have to follow everyone else, and can stand up, grow some balls and make your own decisions rather then reading what everyone else says and decide after that. I mean come-on, how are you ever going to like or dislike things, if you're constantly taking someone else's opinion rather then finding out for yourself? (Slowly stepping down off soapbox) Seriously folks, I pop this CD in every now and then to get a little something different. How different you may ask? Well, listen for yourself. Better then any of Zombie albums?? Nah. How about better then the NEW Zombie album? Nope. So what then? Just a little change of pace, that's all. Think of it on the lines of Blood... Different people same blood. Different bands... Same sound... And to me. It's all GROOVY.

5 out of 5 stars not zombie----still very good.......2006-08-31

A very good album. 2 songs are slow, but over all very good.

3 out of 5 stars Cool, a new Zombie album. No wait a minute........2006-07-19

Well the ghouls have moved on without their master. Scum of the Earth is basically Rob Zombie's old band, and the question being has Riggs and the Tempstra brothers produced a good album? My answer is yes, for the most part. I'm not really sure why they left Zombie. From what people have said they basically got tired of waiting for Rob to finish with his directing work and they decided to move on with their own band. Can't say I blame them

At first glance the artwork on the album cover looks just like a Rob Zombie record. Then one turns the album over and the song titles look just like songs from a Zombie album. Moreover, when the cd is played I had to double-check the band listing because at first I thought I was hearing Rob singing. No actually Riggs is on lead vocals, well he certainly learned a lot from his old partner. As whole I enjoyed this album. I have been a fan of Rob Zombie for years, so I do think this record rocks. With that being said, it's biggest flaw, but yet it's strength is the album sounds too much like Zombie's work. If one is a fan of Rob Zombie's music he or she should enjoy this record.

Because of the record's close similarity to the other Zombie releases one has to compare the two. Which brings me to the conclusion that it is not as strong as most of Rob or White Zombie's work, maybe except for "Educated Horses". This not to say it's not good. This album does continue more in theme of "Sinister Urge" and "Hellybilly" Deluxe than "Educated Horses". In my opinion I don't like either album more than the other. They both have their strong and weak points. Actually, if one combined the best aspects from both, there would be one heck of strong album. This tells me that Riggs played a bigger part in Zombie's music than I thought and the two need to reunite! Only time will tell.

5 out of 5 stars just what i was looking for.......2006-04-13

after being disappointed with that new zombie album someone pointed me in this direction and my god this is what i've been looking for. there's like 2 tracks i don't like (spiders track >_ < ) everything was the bomb. just need to work on the lyrics cause some songs can get repetative but i'd recommed it to anybody who likes old zombie

5 out of 5 stars Up the scums .......2005-09-10

3 out of 5 stars Finally reissued--but lacking bonus tracks!.......2006-12-29

I was anticipating this release, hoping it would have the 12" single versions of the two hits "Cry for Love" and "Real Wild Child" as bonus tracks. No such luck. BUMMER. Missed opportunity to preserve 2 more 12" remixes on CD...

3 out of 5 stars Get it, if only..........2006-07-09

This is probably his most commercial sounding album, which is a let down, obviously (for any real fan of his work). Plus it sounds extremely dated in an 80s, " money for nothing " sort of way - however " Real Wild Child " is still pretty catchy. "Shades" is a guility pleasure, a very well done ballad. Where Iggy really shows his greatness is on the title track, " Blah Blah Blah." It definitely rocks, even with minimal guitar work, with pounding, driving synth work (yes, really). It's the one great track on here, and lyrically gives the finger to everything fake and hypocritical about our nation.

5 out of 5 stars IGGY POPS VOICE IN A GOLD FRAME.......2005-12-16

I played this record quite often , when it was first released. Its still good , because it has more than one timeless song on it thanks to iggy pops exspressive, inimitable voice - a voice that gives the already strong structure of these songs their life. This is a passionate work - and there is no excuse for the fans of early "iggy Pop" to under - appreciate this later accomplishment .

5 out of 5 stars Cotton "Candy"......but still good.......2005-05-26

It's funny how people trash this album and yet praise Iggy's two best albums "The Idiot" & " Lust for Life". Without a doubt those two ARE his best and yet all three albums were produced by the one and only David Bowie.

Yes it is true that this album is very 80's sounding and that seems to be a scarlett letter for anything creative these days. The album is nowhere near as bad as some would have you believe, in fact the songs are fun and with S. Jones (ex- Sex Pistol) on some them it does rock. I have things in my VERY large collection of music and movies that I consider "guilty pleasures". I actually enjoy the chessiness of these albums or movies, and while I would not rank this among his best , it is not the hell many depict it to be.

Many of the people who have given this album such a poor review are simply too full of themselves. These are the people, who like an aristocrat looking down his nose at a common man, think they are too good to enjoy some simple POP music (pun intended). Lighten up fellas! Nobody is going to think less of you for enjoying something popular or catchy and if they do? Well F...em!! Life is far too short to take so seriously. I am now in my mid forties and if I've learned anything it is that I don't care what others think of me.

For those of you thinking about this album because you heard "Real Wild Child" or "Cry for Love" you will not be diappointed, as most of the album is in this style. I would however suggest that you also try out IDIOT & LUST for better Iggy music,or The Stooges if you enjoy punk music. If not well you too should consider expanding your listening range.

Finally I gave this album five stars not because I think it worthy of five, but because I think it deserves better than the 1 that others gave it. So I hope to cancel out some of the negative pounding it is taking.

5 out of 5 stars Iggy Goes 80s!.......2005-01-19

This isn't a punk album, so some of Iggy's fans will be disappointed in this CD. However, it's a great 80s rock CD, featuring some of the Popster's best vocal work. Very upbeat, very electronic, very 80s.

In case you're wondering why this is only going for $2. for new copies from secondary dealers, is because it wasn't worth the $16.00 it originally was priced at! What a SHOCK when I got this home from the store and put it in my machine!

I gave it away in a grab bag at work!

Product Description

Sing-along music designed for your children to introduce the sounds and words of Spanish... it's simple. It's repetitive. Mostly, it seems like fun and playful music, and then suddenly you're "hablaing" español together! This playful and educational music is comprised of 18 original songs written by an educator-anthropologist-mother, and arranged by a world-renowned musician. It is an organic approach to learning a foreign language for modern parents - children learn to say in *spanish* what would naturally come out of their mouth in their native tongue. English translations in the accompanying playbook and alternating Spanish to English lyrics in many of the songs help you and your child seamlessly learn. Enjoy singing along to the bilingual tunes that describe the whimsical world of childhood -- monkeys falling out of trees (Cuidado), booming elephants (Los Elefantes), tasty food (La Comida, La Torta) and cheersing drinks (Mucho Jugo, Salud), as well as the bilingual tracks (Amigos).

My kids immediately started singing along with the catchy tunes. They sing them as they play around the house. My daughter proudly proclaims she speaks spanish now. This cd is a great introduction to the sounds of the spanish language. My children are toddlers. This is an ideal time for them to learn these sounds as they perfect their pronunciations of other english language sounds and blends.
