Young & Buggin' (2 and 1/2 stars).......2007-06-17

Yeah I know that Turk ripped it on everybody else's album but why does this album blow. A couple of reasons. 1. Mannie Fresh's beats were repetitive on here 2. Turk doesnt sound as enthusiastic as he did on everybody else's album. 3. The weak guest spots from The Capos, Christina, Mickey and The Big Tymers dont help much matters either. 4. Its never a good thing when your skits are more entertaining than your album. The Good: Yes We Do which features Lil Wayne, B.G. and Mack 10 is the best song on here. Untamed Guerrilla is another highlight as Turk brings it to you raw over a good beat by Fresh. Freak Da Hoes is Turk's version of Juvenile's Back That Azz Up and All Night is solid track as both Lil Wayne and Turk spit some hot bars over a fairly decent beat. Growing Up is cool plus all the skits with Mannie Fresh( Intro, Hatin' and Finna Records)are a riot as Mannie Fresh blasts every rapper that dissed Cash Money subliminally for their constant bling-bling talk. The Bad: Bout To Go Down is too bland to get into, Its In Me and At The Same Time are as tedious as it gets and the public service anouncement, Seattle Slew and Police skits are pointless. The Ugly: One Saturday Night is without a doubt the worst song on the album as everybody(including Mannie Fresh)sing through the whole track. Soldierette is hot garbage and anybody that can tell you that songs like Wanna Be Down, Trife Livin and Hallways & Cuts are hot, with a straight face, is somebody you need to run from! All three of those songs are awful and formulaic. Bottom Line: Turk's Young & Thuggin is one of the worst Cash Money releases since Project English. Repetitive beat, weak guest spots and Turk didnt sound as hungry as he did before this album. Big Tymers' Hood Rich is the worst Cash Money release still.

this is one of the best albums in the dirty rap music history.it droped in 2001 i had way before it droped in stores .thsi is turks rawest album so go buy this .

The production on this cd was straight.It sound like he got some left ova beats and jus had to work wit em. Can't knock em for tryin.It seem like he would have stepped up his raps to compensate. Not at all. Staight to have if u gotta Cash Money collection.

Classic Album.......2004-02-14

This album is straight FIRE!!!!!!!!! I cant believe that Cash Money Records only put out one album for Turk. He has so much talent. Turk is the second best CMR rapper next to B.G. in my opinion. There is not one song on this album that I do not like. Cop this album it is definately worth the money. I coped the 'Raw & Uncut' album as well and it's tight, but it is not as good as this one. I heard that Turk is going to go back to Cash Money like Juvenile did. Well, ever since tha Hot Boys broke up Cash Money has not been tha same. I hope that Turk can bring back tha heat that Cash Money had back in tha day and maybe even manage to pull out another classic album like this one. There were only two things that dissapointed me about this album. One, there were too many skits. Two, Juvenile is not featured on this CD. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. Go get this CD. Peace.

BETTER THAN YOU'LL EXPECT........2003-11-21

WE ALL KNOW THAT TURK IS NOT CMR'S BEST RAPPER, BUT THIS ALBUM IS STILL BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. TURK IS A NECESSITY OF CMR BECAUSE OF HIS STYLE AND HIS FLOW. HE JUST FITS IN WITH THEM. HE SOUNDS THE BEST ON THE HOOKS IN MY OPINION. MANNIE DID A GREAT JOB ON THE TRACKS. I PERSONALLY LIKE "YES WE DO" CUZ WAYNE RIPS IT AND "FREAK DA HOEZ" BECAUSE THE TRACK IS LOVELY.

Young Jeezy's Official Debut Album.......2007-01-13

Not too many people know this, but this is actually Young Jeezy's first album, before he started calling himself Young Jeezy. It was released under Corporate Thugz Entertainment, which is still Jeezy's own label to this day, in association with 404 Music Group. A lot of people mistake his first album being Come Shop Wit' Me, but that's the first album he released under the name Young Jeezy. In fact, a few of the songs from Come Shop Wit' Me originally appeared on this album.

"Put Da Whip On It Pt. 1", "Put Da Whip On It Pt. 2", "Tonite", and "Haters" were originally released on Thuggin' Under The Influence.

As for the music itself, it's clear the budget for this album was pretty low. A lot of the beats sound as if they were made on a computer, and Young Jeezy's style was a lot different, especially compared to his recent material. His voice comes off as more high pitched, and in some areas, it sounds like he struggles to stay on beat.

Despite some obvious rookie flaws, he still manages to squeeze out a few stand-out tracks that keep the album entertaining. "Swerve" and "Dubbs And Brikks" are two of my personal favorites. In the end, you can't expect this album to blow you away, and it's by no means a classic at all. I would only reccomend buying this album if you're a true fan of Young Jeezy.

This was way better than that Sky's The Limit. You could tell from that album that Magic was just different. the beats wasnt like other No Limit beats at the time. This album he brought everything together. After this album, he lost it on some Gerald Levert meets Kid and Play dope flow sounding lyrics.

Magic, indeed, is this little petition. Relaying a tendentious form of malfeasance on such short notice, Mr. M neglects certain textual appurtenances formerly thought requisite to the full understanding of his retained position. Not so, apparently. Taking it back in, this fronter ain't even couching it. Now he thinks it's just rip-jagging, but it got caught down too handy for that. Maybe next time, M won't be sifting so close to the basin (if ya know what I mean). Shyeet, man, what a balk.

Good Second Effort.......2003-09-12

Magic's second cd is an incredible one. The first song "That's Me" show dramatic improvement from his debut. By far the highlight of the album is "Club Thang" which features C-Murder and QB. This album would be great for any collection. Pick it up.

This CD is worth the price for "Puff, Puff" alone. But if youre not down with the mary jane, the rest of this cd is dope too. You can pretty much listen through and be satisfied the whole way

Turk rocks, deserves just as much credit, and is just as excellent as any other member of the CM click. I believe he is one of the best of CMR and his solo debut is superb. Support this brother, he deserves it. Even now, Mannie still manages to turn out excellent rythms, tunes, and beats. CMR is not slowing down, they are only getting better.-----An advocate for clean/edited hip-hop.

I have, or have heard pretty much every so-called out of print classic rap albums out there, and how this is not in that group, i dont know. every song on this disc is tight, every track is better than the best track on half the c-rap that is coming out lately. if you dont have it, buy it, especially right now when you can git it for under ten dollars here on amazon. you wont be dissapointed. thuggsta dupree sounds a little like the lost member of bone sometimes but he is one of the best rappers ive ever heard!

Watch out for Young Buck's solo on G Unit Records in 2004! Thats because if it is anything like he is in the G Unit's Beg For Mercy, this cd and many other underground records, he'll be hot. Buck is now one of my favourite rappers, and thats pretty good, concidering he hasn't got a real commercial album out yet!
