This CD is great music and pure fun from beginning to end. I would never claim to be an afficianado of classical music but I can listen to this disc over and over again, great music tempered with a great sense of humor. A must for anybody who enjoys classical music but doesn't have to take it too seriously.

La Peste's sound is very average compared to other bands that came out in the late 70's-early 80's. Their single "Better Off Dead"is the best track here period. The other songs are disappointing and boring.

    I totally love the synthpop producer/composer of the soundtrack: Rupert Hine.
    The overall soundtrack is just amazing, however, it does lack the hidden tracks. :(

    But.. it's not worth paying more than $50 USD. (Unless you're wealthy)

    Better Off Dead is a great movie and one of my favorites.I bought this CD mostly just for the songs One Way Love and Arrested by you- which are two of my favorites on this CD. I was disappointed and surprised that the songs "Everybody Wants Some" and "I'd Like to get to Know you Well" arent on there at all. The songs on the cd are still okay. But its disappointing they didnt put two of the best songs on the cd

    whats up fellow nerds...Of course let me agree by saying this is a classic flick, and one of my all time fav's...One of you has to be able to help...The song im looking for is in the scene when our hero is in the bathroom with the q-tips...i thought it might be sinatra, but i cant find it...help!

    Ya ya ya, the Howard Jones "Like To Get You Know You Well" isn't there and that is already well said numerous times. What is there is some fantastic 80's music that captures the feel of the movie. I am not a huge 80's but this movie holds a special place in my heart and thus I like the songs that remind me of the movie.

    With One Look is your streotypical fun 80's song with overemotional lyrics and synthesizers. You don't want to hear it all the time but when you do it really hits the spot. Shine is one of those amazing "pick you up" songs that is fast enough that I added to my jogging lineup. Arrested By You is another exactly the opposite. A slow heart string puller that is best heard staring into the eyes of the person in bed next to you. The rest are OK to mediocre but the intsrumentals are pretty much like in the movie so if you like them there than you will like them here.

    Bottom Line: Not exactly all the songs from the movie but not bad if you like varies 80's music.

    Junior Wells spent four decades as one of Chicago's best Blues harmonica players. Working as a solo artist, in a long-time partnership with guitarist Buddy guy and also backing other Blues greats like Muddy Waters, Wells showed the world that ther was no one in the world that he wouldn't try to meet or beat on the Blues harp.

    This CD is one of Junior's later releases, but it certainly isn't one of the least. Backed by long-time partner Buddy Guy as well as many of Chicago's best Blues players, Wells puts out a top-notch effort on this one. There is plenty of great music to go around, including his signature piece "Messin' With The Kid". The overall effort is typical Junior Wells; straight-forward Rockin' Chicago Blues.

    A definite must-have for any Chicago Blues Harmonica enthusiast.

    Alice Deejay's single is excellent! She has some talent and thats for sure. You cant get sick of this single because all of the awesome remixes that it contains. My favorite track on this single hit is #3 the "Signum Remix". The tracks are wrong on this cd, the original one from the US contains the following tracks:

    Okay, okay. I know everyone already knows everything there is to know about this song. Afterall, in the year 2000 BETTER OFF ALONE became a runaway worldwide smash hit. However, I still feel inclined to give my little opinion of one of the hottest dance songs from last year. Alice Deejay who is really a Dutch DJ named Judy, gives a great performance in one the bounciest little dance songs to come out in a while. This song steers away from your typical Northern European bubblegum pop, and showcases a trancy kind of pop that gets stuck in your head instantly. This is a very nice song with great vocals by Alice Deejay.

    BETTER OFF ALONE is the greatest song i have ever set my pretty little ears to! It has such a strong message and great sound! Her voice is gorgeous, the beat is pounding which is excellent for the clubs and the background sound is so kewl! This song is very unique and i'll never get sick of it! It's been stuck in my head for the past 5 months and i'm not ashamed to say that i love it there and don't want it to go away! I reccomend this single to any SANE person who likes a good song to reflect to or just plain GRIND to baby! Love yas!!!

    The first time I heard this song, I fell in love with the beat. Right away i went out to the music store and tried to see if i could find the song. Then this song wasn't that popular, but lucky for me i found the single. Track 4 is the exact same as track 5 (i think 5 is longer). If you like the song Better off Alone, buy Alice Deejay's album 'Who Needs Guitars Anyway?' You'll love it, if not more than the single.

    I would recommend just closing your eyes and picking which "Better Off Alone" single you get, since they are mostly all the same. The Australian release does include the Mark Van Dale & Enrico mix which is just more trancy and hard core than the other mixes; it also sounds different from the other mixes, which is fun. This is really an ecstatic track which drives the crowd crazy!

    ok it might not have riffs as memorable in persecution mania or even agent orange, but it is a rock solid album and very enjoyable too. all songs are heavy and kick [butt] and not too many fast ones (actually the sound is more mature than that in their earlier releases). stand-out songs are "an eye for an eye", "saw is the law", "never neverland" and "stalinorgel".

Composer, conductor, arranger Frank DeVol scored more than fifty movies and is best known as the composer for the theme songs for the TV series 'My Three Sons', 'The Brady Bunch' and 'Family Affair'. In the 1940s DeVol was an arranger for Dinah Shore, Tony Bennett, Rudy Vallee, Vic Damone and Doris Day. Frank DeVol received multiple Emmy Awards and Academy Award nominations for his extensive body of work. Irving Berlin's medleys featured are 'Always/Remember', 'A Pretty Girl/Isn't It A Lovely Day' and 'Say It With Music/Cheek To Cheek'. 24 tracks. Collectables 2003.
