2 out of 5 stars "I DROVE TO CINCINNATI FOR NOTHING".......2006-05-20

This is not Tricky, as the person before me stated. This is a rap group out of Cincinnati, Ohio, B.C.O. (Brick City Organization). I live in Louisville, KY, and I drove all the way to Cincinnati, Ohio when it first came out, just to buy this CD since it wasn't released nationwide at the time. I heard the Bouncin' Swangin' song on the radio, and I liked it. Well, I drove through Cincinnati for hours trying to find a store that actually sold it. I'll tell you what, I felt out of place because I was the only white boy out there, lol. After I finally found the CD, I listened to it and the Bouncin' Swangin' song was a completely different version than the one played on the radio, which sucked. The rest of the CD kind of sucked also. These guys have potential, if they would only write something with some meaning. Most of these rap artists now days would have some talent if they would stop putting out all of this meaningless garbage, and start thinking about what they are writing. Anyone can throw some rhymes together. That's just my opinion though. The last song on the album, "3000 For Nothing", I believe, was about them driving to California to get a record deal, which fell through. I feel like I drove to "Cincinnati For Nothing" buying this CD.

1 out of 5 stars NOT by Tricky.......1999-06-01

I cannot comment on this album, (I did not buy it), so please disregard the one star - this is an FYI note only: Buyer beware...This is rap music, don't confuse it for the trip-hop artist Tricky who has albums named Maxinquaye, Angels with Dirty Faces, Pre-Millenium Tension.

5 out of 5 stars Simply the best CD of the 90s.......1999-03-24

Tricky's Maxinquay is his first album and by far his most accessible. Top-notch lyrics , melodic sounds and inventive beats. Yes it is dark, yes it is tortured but above all it is of irreprochable intelligence and good taste.
