ur kidding right? the production is below average, and although far from mainstream, and I love a good underground vibe and production (90% of what i now listen to is underground), the lyrics are very simplistic and songs get so focused on their message, they forget to flex skills... very simple and old school...

their next 2 albums are MADNESS, but i regret adding this to my collection!

Hip Hop in its purest form.......2001-09-28

Lexicon is far from mainstream. They drop knowledge in every rhyme. Not one song is bad on this album. It perfectly matches dope beats and ill rhymes. Definitely one of the best hip hop albums you can own. If you like Lexicon i suggest picking up LMNO, Dialated Peoples, and Lootpack. Peace.

Yo, These days very few new groups come out that have a unique sound. It's like everyone that comes out either sounds like Puffy, sounds like Nas, sounds like Roots, whatever, but nobody sound slike themselves. lexicon does a good job of that. I had only known them by name, and heard good things, but when I finally got my hands on their album it was refreshing to hear "new" hiphop. This ones still in my CD changer!

I don't listen to much rap anymore, but a friend of mine told me that this album reminded them of the early 90's, and it does. Incredible for those who like the glory days of rap.

Yo, i'be been feelin these guys for a long time. I had their first ep, and their record, and then I thought they disapeered and they hit me wit this!! The beats are dope, and the lyrics are dope, but the songs put together as a whole are incredible. My favorite is Change the Times and Complicated is on point too and so is 6 shooter. Yo, they are all on point. This and Loot Pack are the best albums comin out the west right now. Buy this album!!
