5 out of 5 stars Mechanical Royalty.......2005-12-27

This is a tight album. I picked this album up due to the track Space Tech Banana Clip produced by MF Doom. RJD2 also came through nicely on The Clock Song production but the rest of the album will have ur head nodding fosho! This entire album is solid, every track is very mentally stimulating, lyrically and on the production tip. I can listen to the whole album without skipping tracks, but the tracks that stands out to me are I Need To Be, Special FX, The Clock Song, Birds, Broke Down, A.C.W.A.L.L, Dope, and the hidden track after Dope. I was surpised I never heard of these cats until now. They are a awesome group.

Babbletron is definitely what real/true hip-hop is all about!

5 out of 5 stars Great hip hop........2004-10-28

I was skeptical picking this up, I wasn't sure what to expect. After listening to it for a few weeks now, this is the best new group I've heard come out for awhile. They just have so many different styles, sometimes Jaymanilla will go from flowing and sounding like Guru to 93' Casual. The production is of high quality, there are probably about 3 songs that I don't like as much as the rest, with the RJD2 produced "Clock Song" as my favorite track. The beat and their flow make you feel high, its one of them songs that you can actually feel while listening to it, doesn't happen very often. My only gripe is the length probably, with a couple of interludes it leaves you only half full. I am excited to hear what else these guys can pull off, considering this is a debut for them, their upside is incredible.

5 out of 5 stars Definite Buy!.......2004-05-04

Wow, who in the heck are these people. This album came right out the blue, I mean I was in the store one day and I saw it. I had no idea that people like this are out there. This album is definitely bangin'. From the first song Babbletron has you, their bouncy yet soothing kicks and snares and their intense lyrics make the listener tune in with little or no patience, it's very satisfying. All their songs have a special feel to it, from "Birds" (my favorite song on the album), to "Hit Man Sonnet", every song is exceptional. The only problem I have with this album is that it's too short, it left me wanting much more. Now I am desperate to get my hands on as much Babbletron as I can muster, but there isn't that much there. Still, it's a very good purchase for the hip-hop consumer, don't miss out.

5 out of 5 stars Buy this album!.......2004-04-10

Don't think, don't ask questions, just BUY THIS ALBUM!

4 out of 5 stars Solid album.......2004-02-29

I first heard Babbletron on Embedded Studios CD I forget the name of it. I even thought Jay Manilla was cRays Walz for a while, they sound similar. I like this album exept for about 2 tracks, that Awkward Conversations one and the song about the bird. By the way Space Tech Bannana Clip uses a sample from good old Space Battleship Yamato aka (Star Blazers) and is also the best song on the album.
