Album Description
One of dance music's biggest names, Dylan Rhymes, has been there, done that and bought the t-shirt when it comes to dance over the last ten years and is now ready to drop his debut album, "Dead Famous", through the achingly hip Kingsize Records.
Whether through his seminal "Naked & Ashamed" track (used by Smirnoff in one of the most successful and long running advertising campaigns in history) or this year's chart bothering club smash "Salty", it's likely you've heard the DR sound before, but now with new writing partner Anthony Gorry (who has previous form with Mansun, Dubaholics, Victoria Beckham etc) the perfect meeting of minds has occurred, creating a balance of edgy credibility and pop sensibilities.
Funky, dirty, epic, rocky, electronic, poppy and credible, this album is a mish mash of styles, vibes and directions which take the listener on a journey through the best of "noughties" music.
From the block rocking beats, grungy attitude and singalong vocals of "Don't Want You Anyway" and "You Got the Money", to the electro-80's vibe of "Fashion Kills" and "Dead Famous" this album combines band ethics with dance music sensibilities to great effect.
For those laidback moments, the William Orbit-esque (circa "Ray Of Light") "What's Your Poison", the dub stylings of "Hope For Us Yet" and the emotive leanings of "Coming Clean" provide the perfect balance to the more raucous elements of the LP.
Finishing up with the ethnic epic, "New Sun", this is an album with something for everyone and every mood executed in exactly the way you'd expect from one of dance's finest alongside a pop giant.

Album Description
This triple award winner lets you share some happy, giggly moments with your toddler before snuggling down for nap or bed. Cheerful play songs, charming rhymes and gentle lullabies are easy to sing and play along with together. The games are toddler favorites; little fingers pretend they are ducks, reach for the sky, tickle and play peek a boo. The simple and sometimes silly songs inspire new verses about your own activities and experiences.

It's a hit.......2006-11-27
We have several of her CD's and we love them. My son is 16mos old now and loves her music.
A wonderfully cheerful musical collection!.......2005-08-31
Our daughter absolutely LOVES these CDs (we also have Sing a Song of Seasons)! She did have the advantage of participating in Miss Rachel's music class for a week this summer and although she was rather shy in class, she dances and sings along to this music at home and in the car. It always brings a smile to her face and seems to have a calming and relaxing effect (both on the kids and parents!). In my opinion, a "must have" for those rainy afternoons spent indoors!
Hello Everybody! is a triple-award winner.......2001-11-21

My 3-Year-Old's Favorite.......2001-11-03
There's something about this folksy CD that grabbed my daughter's attention. It is the only CD she's wanted to hear since she first heard it. The songs are appropriate for babies as well as preschoolers, and are excellent "activity songs" as well. Buy it! You won't regret it! :o)
Outstanding Music For Young Children!.......2001-02-28
I'm sorry, but it doesn't get any better than this for young children. Rachel Buchman has a way of connecting with kids and engaging them in the music! This and "Sing a Song of Seasons" another of her albums are in constant rotation for our kids. They love to roll up in a ball like a pea, stretch up like a tree, and insert their own vegetables in the empty space for tht song. You'll see your children spontaneously singing and MOVING along to these songs, and that's why they're so good!

Sort of Dirty Beats.......2000-07-11
These days if you really want to own techno music,it helps to be a DJ. If you're a DJ, you don't have to get too upset when there are only a few noteworthy songs on the album. So if you plan on purchasing Big Dirty Beats,I would reccommend getting a mixer and a dual deck, because that's all you're going to want to do with a few of these songs. It starts out with Dylan Rhymes' catchy but kind of lacking "Naked and Ashamed" and continues on into a journey through a few songs that matter and a few that don't,though none of it is really bad(with one exception). The notable songs include Keoki's "Me(Wizard of OH Remix), the Monkey Mafia's "Beats in the Hall", Uberzone's "The Freaks"(which is one of my favorites)and a drum and bassey song called "Chase" by Wreckage Inc. The songs that don't really excite are the ones by Bonobo, the Dirty Beatniks,Big Johnson, and the ghastly "Radio Athletico" by The Blood Suckas. Make a big circle/gash with your car key on the area of the cd that contains this song. Ugh.... And that leaves us with, really, your best incentive to purchase this half and half compilation.......Fatboy Slim. His remixes of Bassbin Twins "Out of Hand" and Christopher Just's "I'm a Disco Dancer" are classic, wonderful stuff. And since this cd is one of the few compilations you can find them on in America, that's reason enough alone. All in all, this cd is good enough to own, but not good enough to eat, unless you're a Fatboy fan, a DJ, or both.
GET THIS CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......1998-07-20
If you don't like "electronica" muzik... then you will after listening to this cd!!! The songs make you wanna dance and jump around! It's got big noisy funky jump up breakbeats and more!!! GET IT NOW!!!!! later.
Explosive electronic dementia.......1998-07-14
I bought this CD with others for a long plane trip to Europe. I listened to it quite often and had to make a copy for my car stereo. Very energetic, inventive tracks for those who enjoy electronic music made with hard beats. I own tons of techno/big beat/whatever electronica, this one is so far my favorite.
