    Kim, Barb and Joel Fox are talented musicians - the Fox Family has since morphed into "3 Fox Drive" and I recommend that recent CD as well. "Follow My Lead" was recorded about ten years previous, and it shows their already formidable musical chops.

    Kim and Barb alternate most of the lead vocals and both could lead any top-flight Bluegrass Band today. The disc opens with the Stanley Brother's "Paint the Town" with hot pickin', smooth singing and killer harmony vocals. The Fox girls specialize in sorrowful ballads that sound like they could have been written 70 years ago but are original! "Jesse", "Widow Janie" and "I'm Your Papa" are about rounders and star-crossed loves. The first cut I ever heard was on the radio one night and it was a revelation - "Blood From A Stone" grabs your attention and your heart in a way that is almost visceral.

    Good songs, good playing, good singing, good performances. I recommend this disc for Bluegrass fans.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this album, and I'm going to buy the next one that comes out. Excellent harmony and choice of songs.
