5 out of 5 stars good memories for me and fun "new" songs for my children.......2007-06-27

We had ordered this for "The Dukes of Hazzard" theme song for our 4yr old and our whole family has fallen in love with the cd. It makes me want to share some of the old fun and simple shows with my children. I forgot about some of those shows. It brings back good memories for my husband and me and the songs are new and exciting for our children. It's a nice change from children's cd's, but our children still think it's fun. The sound quality is good and the songs included on the cd are a great mix. I would definately recommend this one.

5 out of 5 stars memories.......2007-02-22

5 out of 5 stars TV Theme Songs.......2007-01-13

This is a great CD for people who watch a lot of TV -especially TV LAND and reruns of old shows when shows had actual theme songs. I took the CD to work and everyone loved trying to figure out what show the songs were from.

3 out of 5 stars TV themes.......2006-07-05

Not all what I expected, not all of the tunes are the original recordings you remember as the TV themes.

5 out of 5 stars Deja Vu.......2006-02-17

Listening to these familiar themes as performed by the original artists certainly brings back wonderful memories! I was particularly pleased, not only with the quality of the pieces, but with the actual performances themselves, just as we remembered them!

3 out of 5 stars No Fistful of Ennio.......2007-01-31

Ennio Morricone wrote great soundtrack music, that's for certain. But no retrospective of his work is complete without the inclusion of more than one lone example from the three mid-60's "spaghetti westerns" he scored for Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood. Anyone familiar with the UNITED ARTISTS label LPs of "Fistful Of Dollars," "For A Few Dollars More" and "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" might agree with this.

As for what's here-- most of ENNIO MORRICONE * FILM MUSIC Volume 1 is forgettable incidental stuff. Except for "The Battle Of Algiers (Theme)," the opening and closing tracks are the best. They bookend what turns out to be a disappointing collection, lacking in both liner notes and the brilliance Morricone demonstrated over a 30 year span.

5 out of 5 stars I would call some of these pieces "newage"..........2006-08-02

Moscow Farewell is definitely my pick of the lot. Sacco And Vanzetti was a pleasant surprise once I listened to it a couple of times. It is lively and could be played on a wedding dance floor for the whole family. This is great album to listen to while in bed!

5 out of 5 stars Simply a 'Must Purchase' for those with a passing interest in Morricone's work.......2005-09-13

Arguably one of the greatest (if not the greatest) Film composer of the 20th Century. Not only has he scored some of the most influential and instantly recognisable pieces of film music during his roughly 50 years of composing atmospheric film scores. Whether he's providing the spooky dramatics for a spaghetti Western" or constructing the ingenious use of classical arrangements of brooding cinematic pieces, he has (in most cases) consistently delivered contemporary music that has provided the atmospheric foil for the picture in question. And with a collection of musical influences that were as far ranging as: classical, jazz, pop, rock, electronic, avant-garde, and Italian music, he is able to deliver a variety of film scores that are as diverse as they are beautifully composed.

This compilation is collection of some of the seminal, gritty, theatrical, and dramatic film music, that would go on to define his career, via reflective orchestration and memorable motifs, ingenious use of diverse arrangements and instrumentation. There is a majority of his highlights on this disc, with the magnificently brooding "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" opening the disk. what follows is a truly sublime collection of music that is in parts truly beautiful and utterly atmospheric, so tracks such as "Once Upon A Time In The West", benefit from the haunting melodies and stirring volins, that are possibly more in tone with orchestrated music than contemporary music. Or the quiet piano introspection and melancholic arrangements that make up "Moscow Farewell", are simply deserving of being placed amongst the finest soundtrack compositions ever. "Dedicace", contains some of the most litting melodies in recent memory, impossibly sad and affecting, it is a haunting bittersweet composition that is both organic & reflective, over which the volins provide the musical backdrop. And that's without the mention of "For Love One Can Die", the autumnal orchestrated track, that pulls from Italian sweeping gangster original film scores, and makes a hushed and dissonant recording, that feels like a sublime throwback to the mafia-related shenanigans of 60's chicago via the use of restrained piano, that really is quite lovely and adds substantial weight to the composition.

If you are looking for a Ennio Morricone compilation....short of buying a boxset, you'd be hard pressed in beating this for value for money. It's a fantastic summary of his work and covers a fair amount of material. And is the perfect introduction to his work, (especially if you just want to buy one compilation of his work). This is highly recommended to fans both old and new, and is boosted by the compilers making a great job of the selection. So if you don't want to have to splash out on an expensive disk, to hear his influential work...this really is the first place you should start.

5 out of 5 stars ENNIO MORRICONE - FILM MUSIC, VOL. 1 .......2005-08-16

HAVING HEARD EXERPTS OF THE MUSIC BEFORE, IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I
WANTED.

5 out of 5 stars A collection of Morricone's most popular and entertaining.......2005-07-31

Volume I of III, of this 'best of' Morricone trilogy, is the best of the three. This volume consists of music that can be listened to alone and socially, with some of the most catchy and minimalist rhythms you'll ever hear. You'll listen to this album and wonder what movie you've heard that song from before(Morricone's canon being primarily for film scores). If you're hear because you're trying to get the song from a movie, and you've never really heard of Morricone before, then you've luckily stumbled upon some of the best music I've ever heard. Or, if you're a Morricone fan and you'er looking for a good compilation, since Morricone has done too many film scores to even possibly own them all, then this is good to have. I wouldn't really reccommend Volume II and III unless you're looking or a very comprehensive collection of Morricone, since Volume I seems to me to carry his most absolute best. Definetely buy this album, it's very good.

Cross 1970s smut poet Rudy Ray Moore with '90s comedic rappers the Afros, marinate them in malt liquor, and what do you get? Afroman, the first hip-hop-flavored novelty act of the 21st century. The self-proclaimed hungry hustler's unabashed take on American rap from a blaxploitation point of view consists of a laid-back delivery and funky yarns loosely flowing over wah-wah guitar grooves and Hammond organ riffs. It's guaranteed to amuse some listeners and offend many, many more. One glance at The Good Times' track listing should help you decide into which camp you'll fall. The subject matter of tunes such as "Because I Got High" (also featured on the Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back soundtrack) and "Let's All Get Drunk" is readily apparent. But it's all good in the 'hood. Afroman and crew sound like they're having a great old time laying it down, and at least one song on this album will make you laugh. --Rebecca Levine

5 out of 5 stars I like Afroman.......2007-03-08

I like this product very much. I had been looking for it at the music store for a long time, with no luck. I found it here, ordered it, and in no time at all it arrived. I've enjoyed it ever since.

5 out of 5 stars The Three Best Songs On This Album .......2007-02-23

This whole ablum is good, but the best three are Because I Got High, Crazy Rap, and She Won't Let Me...

Definitely buy this.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding rap performance.......2007-01-29

This one is my first Afroman disc (and not the last). I have heard music from other musicians but this one really liked me. You have to put attention to every single song, since the lyrics are really interesting if you are not in a English spoken country. I'm interested in the afroamerican culture, so this disc gave a lot of knowledge about a minority that lives a parallel reality, as Afroman mentioned in his song "American Dream". If you are interested on buying cool rap, this is the choice.

5 out of 5 stars I Cant Stop Laughing.......2007-01-07

This CD might be the funniest CD ever... I just cant stop laughing when I hear it... its funny

1 out of 5 stars A dumb joke...and i am not laughing.......2006-06-30

I do not find this CD funny in the least bit. The song "Because I Got High" has got to be the dumbest thing ever written, with one of the most boring beats and repetitive lyrics that I have ever heard. Also, there are other dumb songs like "She won't let me". He tries so hard to be funny to the teenage crowd, and in some ways he succeeds, but to most people, I think that he will just be another annoying comedy rapper that us music listeners dont need to hear.

Inspired by the astoundingly popular The Three Tenors series, Broadway director Marion J. Caffey conceived and directed Three Mo' Tenors, bringing greater visibility to the classically trained African American voice. Starring seasoned tenors Roderick Dixon, Thomas Young, and Victor Trent Cook, Three Mo' Tenors is a theatrically staged concert set taped for public television's Great Performances. A companion to the taped show, the disc features just over an hour of live music from it. The phenomenal showmanship of Dixon, Young, and Trent Cook takes shape in the styles of opera, Broadway, blues, jazz, soul, spirituals, and gospel. The three virtuosos hit high C's with clarity and brilliance; scat with grace and grit; belt, bend and hold a note to beat the band. They move the audience to a state of near-ecstasy performing the traditional "Were You There (When They Crucified My Lord)" and Puccini's glorious "Nessum Dorma." Other standouts include the jazz classic "Twisted," a rollicking version of "Today I Sing the Blues," and the salty "Minnie the Moocher." Boisterous, bold, and bountiful, Three Mo' Tenors is a modern classic. --Paige LaGrone

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Bravo! Mo' Mo' Mo'.......2006-05-13

The word "Mo'" in the title got my attention. I bought the CD to compare it to the already popular "Three Tenors" (Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti and Jose Carreras). Wow! Was I surprised. I had expected an all opera, classical and possibly spiritual repetoire. But, the music varies from "Nessun Dorma" to "Love Train" was truly, truly delightful. I enjoyed the wonderful voices of Thomas Young, Roderick Dixon, and Victor Trent Cook and the variety of musical selections so much that I purchased several other copies for my family and friends. Then, several months later, I saw their performance on PBS. I immediately ordered the VHS offered by the TV station, paying way, way over the retail price. But, I had to have it. It was, and is, the most exciting musical performance that I have seen. Later, when I put the tape into the player at my son's house, my 5-year-old granddaughter Ciara stood next to the sofa to watch. I expected her to move away soon, but, she stood there, during the entire playback of the performance, and I do mean from beginning to end. I left the tape there so that son could see it later. The following day, and for most days during the next several weeks, Ciara asked to have the tape played, until she later was taught to handle it herself. The family has since replaced my VHS with the DVD so that now, when Ciara visits me, we can watch the show again (and again). "Three Mo' Tenors" was so surprisingly wonderful- with great voices, charismatic personalities, terrific orchestral arrangements, lively and precisely choreographed routines, and just an overall feeling of mutual admiration and respect among the three gentlemen. The beautiful cinematics, with frequently interspersed shots of the enthusiatic audience, contributes to the feeling that I am actually there at the concert. Every time I watch it, I see and hear something new. When I first heard the CD, I was not fascinated by the countertenor voice. After seeing Victor Trent Cook's heartwarming performance on the DVD, and hearing his comment about his mother's definition of a countertenor, I have been granted a new appreciation for his voice. Here it is, years later, and I'm still enamored, remembering Roderick Dixon's "Make Them Hear You" elicits tears, Thomas Young's "Twisted" makes me laugh, and the duet with Victor and Thomas (see, I'm now on first-name basis with them) is so beautiful. I could to on and on. In fact, it's time for another listen.

5 out of 5 stars This is a must have for any music lover!.......2006-01-07

I would rate this CD more than five stars if I could! I picked up this CD not knowing anything about these guys, but, knowing that I liked some of the songs contained on it. I was absolutely blown away by this collection! These guys have it all. Voices, talent, showmanship, style, technique, etc. Everytime I listen to it, I feel like I'm sitting right there in the theatre. I am a huge fan of opera, jazz and gospel. This CD covers it all! Although my favorite tracks are La Donna e Mobile, Make Them Hear You, and Nessun Dorma, they are all so good! I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again. You have to hear them to believe them!

5 out of 5 stars wonderful collection of music.......2005-08-23

A good album is one that can't be categorized neatly. Three Mo' Tenors tackles classic opera, Broadway tunes and other genres with ease. They have beautiful voices, and the music they choose to interpret is so universal that even my toddler girl loves listening to it! Their technical expertise combined with their stage presence and charisma makes for an enjoyable cd. Highly recommended - especially if you are looking to introduce yourself or your children to different musical genres.

5 out of 5 stars awesome music selection.......2005-08-02

These are amazing musical selections and amazing vocalists; a must-have for any well-rounded music collection. This trio can really sing!

4 out of 5 stars They Left Out The Best Song.......2004-11-11

One of my most favorite performance DVD's, but how, or why, on earth did they leave off the most stiring single number on the CD - "A Song For You," by Rodrick Dixon?

Put it in, and it's a "five."

4 out of 5 stars Some really great songs here.......2006-12-04

His honky tonk songs are fun and well done. However, I bought this CD after seeing the video for El Cerrito Place. The beauty and vulnerability of that song is amazing. Photographs is another moving song that really says volumes. This is my first Charlie Robison cd, and I love it.

5 out of 5 stars A Cut Above Country Radio Regulars.......2005-09-13

Charlie's latest has no weak tracks whatsoever. The title song is full of tongue-in-cheek humor and rebellion, hearkening to some of John Prine's best songs. It has one of the catchiest lines ever in country music: "Buy me a whiskey, get yourself stoned, we gonna have a good time." As usual, Charlie tells a great many stories in his songs: a unrepentant pleasure seeker lets it all hang out south of the border in "New Year's Day;" a man hits the skids emotionally in "The Bottom;" the narrator remembers his own broken childhood and admires his infant son in "Photograph;" a dissipated adult recalls his first drink and charts his own disgrace in "Something in the Water;" a girl weds a bad man in the haunting "Magnolia," a story-telling style that is reminiscent of Faulkner's "As I Lay Dying." Charlie Robison has more talent as a writer and performer than 99% of anyone in Nashville. Please buy this album; do yourself a favor. If you like songs deeper than your average mud puddle but still universally-applicable, this CD is for you!

4 out of 5 stars Different, But Good.......2005-09-06

I found this album to be quite different then what I've come to expect from Charlie, but it is still good and worthy of attention. "El Cerrito Place" is the best song on the album and I find myself listening to it over and over. If you are a Texas Country Music Fan or a Charlie Robison fan then you will like this album. Also, if you like Charlie, check out his brother Bruce Robison as well.

5 out of 5 stars Charlie Robison's Best Yet.......2005-08-12

This is Charlie's best release yet. It features a wide range of songs that will keep everoyone happy!

This is my first Charlie Robison CD but it won't be my last. I hadn't heard any of his stuff until a few years ago. I got this CD because of the video for "El Cerrito Place" on CMT and I'm so glad I got it. This is not your everyday run-of-the-mill "Country" CD, it's much better! He has a great range of songs on this that are just different. GREAT STUFF!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Brings Me Back.......2006-07-09

I was 15 when this album came out and I fell in love with it from the jump. I know I've had at least 3 copies of it through the years from having to replace it because I carried the TAPE with me everywhere I went. Some of my best high school memories have the song "Fire" in the background. The whole album is great. It makes me sad to know that they fell off the way they did because they had the potential to do big things. Eleven years later I still love this album and even though I'm married with kids now "Fire" still does something to me.

4 out of 5 stars Where are they now??.......2006-05-03

I met these talented young men in 94, just before the album came out. They gave an amazing live preformace in their hotel, whilst recording in NY. I knew their ex manager a little and used to see them rehearsing at his house in Chicago. I have since lost contact with Chicago and the US, but always remember their fab live voices.
Where are they now?

5 out of 5 stars One of the best young R&B group debuts ever.......2005-10-13

In an era when R&B music was predominantly ruled by vocal groups which feature dazzling leads but precious little harmony, Eric, Trerail, Roy and Keith prove that their strengths rest in a four-part alliance. A recent addition to Michael Bivins' Biv 10 Entertainment family back in 1995, Subway intended to take their listeners on a journey with the opening "Chi-Town Ride," which features guest vocalists Easy and Tung Twista and explores the Chicago scene's fusion of soul, rap and reggae. Producers Chad "Dr. Ceuss" Elliot and Herb Middleton contribute a couple of tracks ("The Better The Love" and "This Is Not A Goodbye") that are typical of the R. Kelly-influenced, bump-n-grind new wave of R&B. The swinging "Get Da Money" is Subway's link to the West Coast scene, and the Phat Pocket's Remix of that song wins the prize as the album's top jam. The tracks produced by soul survivor Gerald Levert ("This Lil' Game We Play" and "Goodtimes") bring about a change of pace, emphasizing Subway's raw vocal abilities and smoothe style. This flavorful combination of production expertise and raw talent provides GOOD TIMES with a continuous musical flow, and is the main reason why Subway's debut is such an unbridled success and it also features the love jam of the summer from 1995 which was Fire.

4 out of 5 stars The Chi-Town Ride With Subway Came To An Abrupt Stop.......2005-01-17

Subway was another mid-90's group that had great potential but was deprived of the opportunity and for what I have no idea. Half of the tracks on this CD was produced by Gerald Levert(underrated producer) who really laid down a smoove bass-line on "This Lil' Game We Play"(one of the best tracks of '94) and "Goodtimes" the album track. When Subway came onto the seen, I really thought that they could have stayed in the game for about 5-10 years but it did not happen that way. I agree with a previous reviewer as far as the motown artists of the late '80's to mid '90's, they were not marketed very well at all. Also, the intro track "Chi-Town Ride" with the rap by a younger Twista who picked his spots back in the early '90's as far as rapping. The other track that I enjoyed was "Fire" which had a lot of harmony. Even though this was their only project, this is still a cd to have in your collection.

4 out of 5 stars Applause for Applause!.......2006-07-13

I recomend this cd to all theater fans. Even the ones who love a great, toe tapping score. The song they sing in titled Applause can be seen in the Bonus Performances on the DVD titled Broadways Lost Treasueres. That is how I first heard of Applause. It was very entertaining!

3 out of 5 stars Lauren Bacall !.......2005-07-09

Based on the classic movie "All About Eve", Lauren Bacall won a Tony for her performance in this great musical.

Best tracks include:

But Alive
Applause [Bonnie Franklin of "One Day At A Time" fame!]
Something Greater

Not all the songs are great, but totally worth the buy!

5 out of 5 stars Love it.......2004-04-01

Love the CD ( I have had the vinyl recording ever since it came out), but wish it could be released on Video or DVD(does anyone out there know if this will ever happen?). I saw the television production with Lauren Bacall and Larry Hagman back in the early 1970's and saw an amateur production of it here in Melbourne as well and having always loved the whole concept of the movie, I feel that it transferred well to the stage.

3 out of 5 stars Welcome CD edition of the original Broadway cast album.......2004-01-17

First... a request to people reviewing stage cast albums, Several reviews refer to these recordings as "soundtracks."

WRONG!!!!

"Soundtrack" recordings are records/cds transfered from from movies ONLY.

Live theatre does not use pre-recorded "soundtracks" - the casts perform live on stage and these "original cast recordings" are made in recording studios and designed for home listening.
PLEASE.... maintain your credibility by using the correct term!

Finally, after years of negotiation Decca Broadway is making the 1970 Tony winning musical APPLAUSE avaialble on Cd. Was it worth the wait? Well, yes and no. APPLAUSE is one of those late 60's musicals adapted from a hit play/novel/movie and offering lots of glitz and energy to cover up the deficiencies of the show itself.

Star Lauren Bacall provided the "star" quality though she has no real singing voice but as an actress she rises above it bringing the character to vivid life. Len Cariou sings well as Bacall's boyfriend but has very little to do.

Bacall gets the key gems and with two major exceptions any of the numbers in which she does not appear can be ignored. The first exception is the lively title song - a tribute to the power of applause. It has almost nothing to do with the plot but still stopped the show nightly. The other,is a dramatic soliloque for Penny Fuller in the (virtually) non-singing role of Eve: "One Hallowe'en." This is Eve's big moment to really show her true colours and Fuller makes the most of it. Missing from the recording - becasue it is a dialogue scene - is the following moments when Eve recieves humiliating comeuppance.

The original Lp release was done by ABC records and had an annoying "boxy" sound quality that has not been corrected on the cd. The very short selection has been filled out with demo recordings by composer Charles Strouse and a couple of the cut songs sound quite interesting. Packaging is up to Decca Broadway's usual high standards.

i have a copy of this recording on LP, and have enjoyed it for approx 25 yrs. couldn't wait for the cd. bought it the first time i saw it.
i am wondering if anyone has seen the tv production of APPLAUSE starring LAUREN broadcast circa 1974 on tv? and is there any possibility of obtaining a copy on anything? the production was FANTISTIC, to say the least!!!

4 out of 5 stars Excellent Fayre..........2007-07-06

I'm afraid I can't agree with Captain Jax, when he says Blackmore's Night lack the spark on stage of a realy talented band, I assume he hasn't seen the Castles And Dreams DVD..however, onto this album, my one criticism is that "The Clock Ticks On" is not it..otherwise it's a very good representation of how BN sound live.Everyone plays well Candice is in fine voice and they sound as though they are having a great time, I've been a fan of Ritchie since Deep Purple In Rock, and I think he has paid his dues to the rock world. Carry on Ritchie. This is great music.

4 out of 5 stars Renaissance rock from Ritchie Blackmore and Co........2007-03-19

This double live album contains an intimate atmosphere from a cool audience which adds to the power of this truly wonderful performance. It's also an excellent sounding live album. You got to love these traveling minstrels. Their live versions are extended and are different from the studio versions. If you haven't heard Blackmore's Night before, "Past Times With Good Company" is a great introduction.

Past Times With Good Company ~ Blackmore's Night: 4 1/2 stars

3 out of 5 stars Brilliant musicianship, sophomoric lyrics and commentary.......2006-03-18

Blackmore's brilliant musicianship is poorly reflected in Candice Night's sophomoric lyrics and commentary. This was OK for the first album and has become more obvious, particularly on this release.

Buy this CD for Blackmore's performance but grit your teeth when Candice Night starts talking like an "Oh wow, isn't this great?" tourist.

1 out of 5 stars What a joke!.......2006-02-07

I can't beleve that Ritchie Blackmore- the premier guitar virtuoso of Deep Purple and Rainbow would plummet to a style that has no relationship with Rock and Roll. This is all midevil crap that sounds like it should be in a musical or footstomp or the toilet! If you are looking for vintage Blackmore don't buy these Blackmore's Knight recordings. You will be disappointed, shocked, stunned and disillusioned. [...]

5 out of 5 stars Excellent and Majestic!.......2005-12-18

I loved this live CD of Blackmore's Night. It's a great addition to any Blackmore's Night collection. Candice's voice along with Ritchie's wonderful playing blends together to make a haunting and marvolous CD. I recommend it for any devoted Blackmore's Night fan.

2 out of 5 stars not to great.......2007-04-04

We were disappointed with this CD, but for the price I guess we can't expect much. I didn't care for the new style presentation of the songs. I like a more traditional rendering.

3 out of 5 stars Not so bad, 100 tunes for 4$.......2005-06-22

I red the comments of two other people who have bought this 4 CD BOX SET and it is not really so bad. I will even add that there are some excellent tunes. However, I must agree with the fact that few tunes seem to have been recorded 40 or 50 years ago, mainly when you hear the scratches of an old turntable but it is just 2 or 3 tunes. Furthermore, if you do not know American music, it is a good BOX SET to buy if you consider that you received 4 CD for 4$ including 100 tunes. On these 4 CD, I have heard some orchestration that I have never heard before and I consider that they are different but interesting. Any way, after hearing these 100 tunes, you will say to yourself that you like this tune, this other tune, this other tune and so on and you will be able to buy a more expensive CD with the tunes that you like. However, I have bought many CDs in the last few weeks and as you know, there are always some tunes that you like and some tunes that you do not like on every CD that you will buy. So, don't buy it at 25$ but at 4 or 5$ dollars, it is a very good choice for 100 tunes.

1 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for........2004-07-04

You get what you pay for. The singers put their own spin on the singing of each song. If you didn't hear the words you would not recognize some of them. Even some of the music sounds like a bad recording of music played on a turntable. Definitely not worth the price.

1 out of 5 stars Now I know why there were no song samples to listen to ..........2004-07-04

I wish this review had been here when I was thinking of purchasing it. I guess you get what you pay for. If you are thinking of buying this, you are better off recording your own CDs (or at least buying one that you can listen to a sampling of the songs). This album includes songs that were mere recordings of the songs playing on an old record player. It's almost so unbelievable that it is funny.

5 out of 5 stars Hard country Dino, produced by Jimmy Bowen.......2003-05-25

Jimmy Bowen produced all of Dean's Reprise hits, but in the later years, particularly when it was "his" orchestra, the country sound got a real heavy beat. That's not always bad, and you will find two great cuts here -- a very strong Martin performance on "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife" (supposedly recorded in tribute to his wife whom he had recently divorced) and "For The Good Times" with a nice and relaxed orchestration. Several of the country standards here are very nicely done -- "Here We Go Again", "Make The World Go Away", "Tip Of My Fingers", "Detroit City", "Turn The World Around", "Keeps Right On A Hurting", "Invisible Tears", and "Perfect Mountain". All these are nicely done, both in terms of the strong arrangements and Dean's vocals. There's one cut at the bottom -- "For Once In My Life" -- ah well, they can't all be winners.

WOW !! This is an exceptional collection of songs by Dean. Dean's versions of these cover songs are in my opinion better than most of the originals, especially For The Good Times. This is my second favorite in the two fer series, Houston/ Dean Martin Hits Again being my favorite. If looking for a starting point in this series I highly recommend these two. I can't stop playing these two and that's a good thing.
