Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars P. Diddy's Soundtrack Cash In (Rating: 6 out of 10- -3 stars).......2007-01-23

I can assure you the reason why I bought this soundtrack was because of the Summer '03 hit song "Shake Ya Tailfeather" by Nelly, P. Diddy, and Murphy Lee. I won't lie, I loved that song (especially it comming from Nelly and P. Diddy)- although in the movie I heard the instrumental more than I expected. Other great songs were the Jay-Z single "Excuse Me Miss Part II (La-La-La)" which was nice to listen to as well. Later on in the album Freeway and Peedi Crakk would colab for the song "Flipside". 50 Cent would join in with a Biggie colab in the song "Realest ******". Snoop would have a nice song with good production with Loon on the song "Gangsta ****". The majority of these songs are mostly shooting for mainstream appeal, and wouldn't have suprised me if all of them weren't hit singles.

What really kills this album is lack of standout tracks. A lot of them I considered failed. You can tell Fat Joe was turning completely pop on the song "Girl I'm A Bad Boy". Foxy Brown and Mario Winans' "Pretty Girl BS" is another song that falls under skip material. "Love Don't Love Me" by Justin Timerlake just plain sucks. One reviewer said that Mary J Blige's song "Didn't Mean" was funky, but I failed to notice it, but did notice it was a rehased A Tribe Called Quest's "Find A Way" beat. The majority of these songs that I didn't name were not worth mentioning, becasue they failed to gain my attention.

If you liked the movie, you might like the soundtrack. This is a CD for the masses of mainstream rap listeners. Unfortunately there are a few tracks that I will listen to on this soundtrack. If you haven't heard this and are curious, give it shot. If not, you're not missing very much. Also since the executive producer is P. Diddy and this is on Bad Boy Records, expects his famous ad-libs throughout it.

4 out of 5 stars As good as the movie!.......2005-09-27

Great CD! Fun to listen to, excellent choice and song choice. Have damage on my cd, to the label which causes the cd to skip which is terribly disappointing.

5 out of 5 stars "Hardcore Rap" soundtrack at it's best.......2005-08-31

This is the stuff that rap dreams are made of! Just like the movie itself, this CD is packed with moment after moment of perpetual rollercoaster type thrills that leaves the listener in a sheer state of funk frenzy! The talent assmbled here is tops and just seems to keep coming at you so, get in, sit down, buckle up and shut the F&#k up because it's about to get rowdy up in here!

3 out of 5 stars alright i guess.......2005-03-01

this is sort of good but a lot of songs aren't that great. there's also lots of boring interludes from the movie. i think the only one needed was the intro because its hilarious.
the real good songs are
"Realest n****s" by 50 and Biggie (best)
"La-La-La" by Jay-Z
"Shake Ya Tailfeather" by Nelly, murphy lee and diddy (but is old)
"Flipside" by Freeway and Peddi crack
and "Show Me Your Soul" by diddy, lenny kravitz, pharrell, and loon.

so if u LOVE diddy and bad boy go get it. if not, listen 2 tha clips.

5 out of 5 stars sick sick sick!.......2005-02-16

I adore this film, I adored the music even more. The one missing song in this soundtrack was "Atrevido" by Orishas, the song that's played when Syd and Tapia are at the beach for a meeting.

This CD is da best soundtrack of all music soundtracks. Every single song is crazy. Best songs on the album: La La La, Shake Ya Tailfeather, Girl I'm A Bad Boy, Realest N*ggas, Flipside and Wanna Be G's.

5 out of 5 stars great music.......2003-08-02

My favorite on this on the album is Shake Ya Tailfeather. I loved the movie and the soundtrack.

5 out of 5 stars Bad Boys II is the best rap album this year!.......2003-07-19

"Bad Boys II" the soundtrack (Clean) is excellent and brilliant without compromise just like Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are. "Show Me Your Soul" From P. Diddy, Lenny Kravitz, Pharrell Williams, and Loon is superb. "La-La-La" From Jay-Z is excellent. "Shake Ya Tailfeather" From Nelly, P. Diddy, & Murphy Lee is dynamite. "Girl I'm A Bad Boy" From Fat Joe & P. Diddy Feat. Dre is brilliant. "Keep Giving Your Love To Me" From Beyonce is intriguing. "Realest N*ggas" From Notorious B.I.G. & 50 Cent is fanastic. "Flipside" From Freeway is excellent. "Gangsta Sh*t" From Snoop Dogg With Loon is brilliant. The rest of the tracks to the soundtrack I haven't listened to yet, but it could be as brilliant as the ones I just named off just now. Get this soundtrack now, I mean, now!

I have to say I love this album, it features everybody!!! From Lenny Kravitz to Fat Joe to Beyonce to Jay-Z. I liked it so much I even bought this import version just to hear the Remix of Shake Ya Tailfeather. I have not heard of Afreex before this but I am sure we will hear more, that remix is HEAVY!! Should have been on the single as well.

Needless to say this CD resides in my CD player in my car!!
