If you're looking for an accurate representation of DC's own genre, go-go, this is it. From "way back in the day" old school to the present, this compilation highlights the best from the finest go-go artists. Some of these classic tracks are out-of-print and for a long time, sadly, very hard to find. The only thing that would make it better, would have been the inclusion of Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers/Rare Essence's cover of Kool Moe D's "Do You Know What Time it is".

A great sampling for the new go-go fan.

This is a collection of Classic Go-Go. There are only a few resent tracks in this collection. DC's best bands are featured. Old Schoolers will remember some of these tracks. If you never heard of or listened to Go-Go I would not purchase this CD but buy a Chuck Brown live CD first.
