The title track from Curtis Mayfield's New World Order is also included on the soundtrack for Spike Lee's film about the Million Man March, Get on the Bus. Mayfield proclaims sweat is rolling down the Statue of Liberty's brow because she's worried that "the sleeping giant" of racism and classism "is no longer sleeping." Similar calls to action are issued by such political rappers as Guru and a Tribe Called Quest. The album's highlight is a powerful version of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" by Stevie Wonder. Though hip-hop and R&B dominate the album, two of the best cuts are gospel numbers. Kirk Franklin's "My Life Is in Your Hands" is religious, but the Neville Brothers' "Over a Million Strong" makes the connection between gospel music and political justice as the Civil Rights movement once did in the '60s. --Geoffrey Himes

But like everyoneelse I'm disapopointed there's no Michael Jackson on it.

The song is called On The Line(written and produced by MJ himself not Babyface)

But the other songs are still good. worth the money

I was equally disappointed that Michael Jackson's song opened the movie "Get On The Bus", but was absent from the soundtrack. There are some good tracks, but the soundtrack would have been much better had that song been included. For those who don't know, the name of the song is "On The Line", and it was written and produced by Babyface. The only place I have ever seen this song was on a special edition of "Ghosts". Hope this information is helpful to those who need it.

I could not believe I was hearing a brand new track by the King of Pop when I saw the beginning of this movie. I was so excited, I immediately went online to buy it, only to see that it was not on the soundtrack! Now how the heck do you have Michael Jackson do a song for a movie and don't put it on a soundtrack? It's beyond me.

A bunch of good tracks on this album. However, the movie opens with one of the best tracks that Michael Jackson has done in years. Beautiful! Well, it's not here - nowhere to be found. A shame, since it does such a good job setting the tone for the movie. Not sure what the title of the song is, but it would singlehandedly force me to give this album a five star rating. Oh, well!

    I have contacted themoviegiant regarding this new CD not working on my rather new Dell computer. They said it should work but gave no clues as to how. Then they said, at my expense to send it back (they could not provide a return label) and they will check the new CD for flaws. They should have refunded my money immediately and I would have gladly sent it back because it is useless to me. I will not deal with this company again.

    I have to buy a second one for daddy's car because we got tired of taking it back and forth between vehicles. It's the only sure thing to settle our son if he's getting cranky. Our son is only 8 1/2 months old but has been watching the "Doodles" since he was only 3 months old (it's how I kept him occupied while I took a shower in the morning before work) A definate buy for anyone with a little one.

    My twin girls love the Doodlebops! This was the first show they took an interest in. I was so disappointed to discover that you could not buy this CD in the US as of yet. In November 2005 I ordered this CD for my girls through Amazon Canada. We love to listen to it in the car (It quiets them down if they are getting cranky). The songs are addictive, even Daddy can't get them out of his head. I don't know what I would do without this CD it's great!

    We first fell in love with the Deedee, Rooney and Moe while watching them on the Disney Channel and fell in love with their catchy songs! Our daughter loves their music that makes her bop around the house and now has her bopping her head in the car! If you watch the Doodlebops you'll recognize the songs from their show. I think the only songs they missed I think is Cali-flower and the Dinosaur song.

    What I like about the Doodlebops is that they are all about friendship, working together, making learning fun! There is a song where your child will learn how to count from 1 to 10 AND how to count to 10 if things aren't going your way. There another song about wanting to be bigger, to keep trying, getting along and looking in a book. Awesome songs that you the parent won't mind listening to when your child requests it and also knowing that your child is learning at the same time. How awesome is that!

              This is an awesome CD. Rocco Prestia, best known as the originator of "Fingerstyle Funk" bass as played by himself in the funkiest band around, Tower Of Power, has surrounded himself with fine & funky cohorts to really throw it down. Highlights include Brent Carter, Bill & Tamara Champlin, and Frank Biner on vocals, Chester Thompson on B-3 organ, Brandon Fields on sax, and many more. It's all good!

              But DON't buy THIS "import" unless you have to collect it... the US release is fine, and readily available. BTW, the correct title is "everybody on the bus..."
