3 out of 5 stars P. Diddy's Soundtrack Cash In (Rating: 6 out of 10- -3 stars).......2007-01-23

I can assure you the reason why I bought this soundtrack was because of the Summer '03 hit song "Shake Ya Tailfeather" by Nelly, P. Diddy, and Murphy Lee. I won't lie, I loved that song (especially it comming from Nelly and P. Diddy)- although in the movie I heard the instrumental more than I expected. Other great songs were the Jay-Z single "Excuse Me Miss Part II (La-La-La)" which was nice to listen to as well. Later on in the album Freeway and Peedi Crakk would colab for the song "Flipside". 50 Cent would join in with a Biggie colab in the song "Realest ******". Snoop would have a nice song with good production with Loon on the song "Gangsta ****". The majority of these songs are mostly shooting for mainstream appeal, and wouldn't have suprised me if all of them weren't hit singles.

What really kills this album is lack of standout tracks. A lot of them I considered failed. You can tell Fat Joe was turning completely pop on the song "Girl I'm A Bad Boy". Foxy Brown and Mario Winans' "Pretty Girl BS" is another song that falls under skip material. "Love Don't Love Me" by Justin Timerlake just plain sucks. One reviewer said that Mary J Blige's song "Didn't Mean" was funky, but I failed to notice it, but did notice it was a rehased A Tribe Called Quest's "Find A Way" beat. The majority of these songs that I didn't name were not worth mentioning, becasue they failed to gain my attention.

If you liked the movie, you might like the soundtrack. This is a CD for the masses of mainstream rap listeners. Unfortunately there are a few tracks that I will listen to on this soundtrack. If you haven't heard this and are curious, give it shot. If not, you're not missing very much. Also since the executive producer is P. Diddy and this is on Bad Boy Records, expects his famous ad-libs throughout it.

4 out of 5 stars As good as the movie!.......2005-09-27

Great CD! Fun to listen to, excellent choice and song choice. Have damage on my cd, to the label which causes the cd to skip which is terribly disappointing.

5 out of 5 stars "Hardcore Rap" soundtrack at it's best.......2005-08-31

This is the stuff that rap dreams are made of! Just like the movie itself, this CD is packed with moment after moment of perpetual rollercoaster type thrills that leaves the listener in a sheer state of funk frenzy! The talent assmbled here is tops and just seems to keep coming at you so, get in, sit down, buckle up and shut the F&#k up because it's about to get rowdy up in here!

3 out of 5 stars alright i guess.......2005-03-01

this is sort of good but a lot of songs aren't that great. there's also lots of boring interludes from the movie. i think the only one needed was the intro because its hilarious.
the real good songs are
"Realest n****s" by 50 and Biggie (best)
"La-La-La" by Jay-Z
"Shake Ya Tailfeather" by Nelly, murphy lee and diddy (but is old)
"Flipside" by Freeway and Peddi crack
and "Show Me Your Soul" by diddy, lenny kravitz, pharrell, and loon.

so if u LOVE diddy and bad boy go get it. if not, listen 2 tha clips.

5 out of 5 stars sick sick sick!.......2005-02-16

I adore this film, I adored the music even more. The one missing song in this soundtrack was "Atrevido" by Orishas, the song that's played when Syd and Tapia are at the beach for a meeting.

5 out of 5 stars Nothing new but worth listening to.......2005-08-31

While this CD will not set new standards in Rap/R&B based soundtracks, it is nonetheless a fine assembly of talent worth listening and grooving to. For those if you craving your Hip Hop a little more "hardcore", the successor to this soundtrack "Bad Boys II" soundtrack certainly will not let you down as well.

3 out of 5 stars Bad Boys Score.......2003-08-06

This is a great CD. Though I'm not really into Hip Hop Rap & R&B, the song goes well with the movie. I'm just disappointed that only one Mark Mancina score is included in this CD.

I've downloaded some Mark Mancina Bad Boys Score from an anonymous user on the internet. The album title is "Bad Boys Score Promo" which includes tracks like :
Car Jack 5:52
Heroin Robbery 5:48
JoJo Doesn't Know-Hello We're Negroes 6:01
A Favor for Mike Lowrey 0:55
Rich Cop, Poor Cop 1:08
Somebody's Upstairs 4:18
The Madam 1:10
A Mixed Conversation 2:00
Explosive Truck Chase 4:11
Thanks For Everything (Mike) 0:51
Lobby Shoot-Out & Foot Pursuit 4:17
Do You Remember Club Hell 1:37
Hangar 3, Bad Boys Arrive 8:02
High Speed Chase, Finale 4:40

The scores are really good! I hope an official Bad Boys Score CD will be released since a promo disc is made.

3 out of 5 stars An ACTUAL review of the product.......2003-07-30

I'm glad that so many of you don't like rap music but guess what? This is a rap/R&B CD so just because it does not feature the movie score, let's not be so quick to throw that one star. This is NOT the musical score to the movie. There is only one track featuring the Mark Mancina theme. If you are looking for the score, you will not find it here. You won't find it on a lot of other CD's either so let's review the album for what it is rather than what it isn't.

The soundtrack has a nice selection of tracks though many of them are not exclusive to this album such as 2Pac's "Me Against The World". An excellent track but if you own the album of the same name then you probably won't find this track as much of an incentive to buy this record. However, tracks such as the Notorious B.I.G. & Da Brat collabo, "Da B Side" are real good. Mancina's theme is real dope. KMFDM's "Juke Joint Jezebel" featured in the movie is a weird choice for an album that is mostly rap mixed with R&B but it is an excellent choice.

This is a decent purchase and if you liked the songs (not the score) featured in the "Bad Boys" film, go out and buy it.

1 out of 5 stars What the....??????????.......2002-02-08

This CD is full of Rap stuff. I just want to ask - Where the hell is Mark Mancina's score???!!! It was great, where is it?
Where are other his scores(Fair Game, Bait, Money Train, Speed 2)? There is only one Mancina's cue - "Theme from BAD BOYS" its brilliant, but 4 minutes is little to short to buy this album.

1 out of 5 stars 1 Star for the CD, 4 for Mancina's Score.......2001-09-24

Rap is [bad]. Most of this stuff wasn't even in the movie.

Arrrrgggghhh! This was the worst Geto Boys offering I have heard to date! Obviously Scarface wasn't enough to save this "album". Why wasn't Bushwick in on this one? Most of the songs were performed by Willie-D and I'm sorry but Willie-D can't rap! There isn't one single song on this album that I would refer to anyone! This GB product deserves to be put in the trash. I'm a true Geto Boys fan and I say to other GB fans out there: DON'T BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Tight, but not the same without Bushwick.......1999-04-18

At first, I wasn't sure what to expect from a Geto Boys album without my boy Bushwick...and even though his presence is missed, the up and coming Rap-A-Lot thugs sure make up. Rap-A-Lot is on fire and I want y'all to support them by buying all the RAL albums you can, they all tight!! Hey Rap-A-Lot, bring back Bill!! Recognize the M.O.B.!

"Bad Boys II" the soundtrack (Clean) is excellent and brilliant without compromise just like Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are. "Show Me Your Soul" From P. Diddy, Lenny Kravitz, Pharrell Williams, and Loon is superb. "La-La-La" From Jay-Z is excellent. "Shake Ya Tailfeather" From Nelly, P. Diddy, & Murphy Lee is dynamite. "Girl I'm A Bad Boy" From Fat Joe & P. Diddy Feat. Dre is brilliant. "Keep Giving Your Love To Me" From Beyonce is intriguing. "Realest N*ggas" From Notorious B.I.G. & 50 Cent is fanastic. "Flipside" From Freeway is excellent. "Gangsta Sh*t" From Snoop Dogg With Loon is brilliant. The rest of the tracks to the soundtrack I haven't listened to yet, but it could be as brilliant as the ones I just named off just now. Get this soundtrack now, I mean, now!

I have never heard an album as psycho as this. He can be really anti-religious though which some people may not like (KGP stands for Kill God's People, lol). Some the lyrics for example are "Jesus Christ can suck my d***", "F*** your God", "I piss on a Baptist", "I don't like nuns, but i like guns" and yeah, i think you get the point lol. Other topics of the album include killing everyone who is a Christian, burning churches, burning bibles & lots of other Satanic plots. This album is not a happy album! And yes, he does hate religion, so if you're going to get offended... do not buy this!!!! For all other people, this album is great. Every song is awesome. Juggalos and fans of horror-core rap will love this album.
