Customer Reviews:
Most underrated out of the wu pack.......2007-07-05
Myalansky and Joe Mafia brings you, wu-syndicate, a album that most wu listiners wont mention, the way killarmy or killah priest is mention for some reason. This album as far as beats goes is pretty amazing and both mc's on the cd are razor sharp. Go cop it son!
Probably the best group to come out of the Wutang label.......2006-07-17
I don't listen to Wu-tang or hardcore hip hop that much anymore, even though I have 25 wu related albums, but this is one I still listen to. It's chilled, meaningful and has an original sound given to us by the creator RZA (although don't mention bobby digital). MMO,12 O'Clock, and Joe Mafia pour their hearts out in a style similar to that of recent Ghostface albums. The beats are chilled have a wintry feel about them and some excellent female vocals from Tekitha. The lyrics are a bit depressing but not as hardcore as a Wu-tang clan album. If you are someone that may not listen to tracks as hardcore as "bring the ruckus" or methodmans skit (both on Enter the wu-tang clan) this is an enjoyable album. But eventually you'll find fresh new underground hip hop and then you've hit the real good stuff.
This is heat.......2006-05-19
This album is both emotional and though provoking. I happened to stumble upon it back in 98. I've been looking for it for quite some time. Its dope, thats all i can really say. It touchs the core of many deep topics that effected our peole during the early to late 90's. If you luv We, this is a MUST HAVE!!
MAFIA THEMED WU AFFILIATES SHOW PROMISE.......2005-10-10
I have to say that I was quite surprised by this album, Wu-Syndicate which is made up of duo Myalansky and Joe Mafia and also guest starring Napolean bring a solid debut that judging by the cover could easily be mistaken for another wannabe gangster group, it was the Wu-Tang presents logo which peaked my interest and after reading a few of the reviews on amazon I decided to by it, Im glad I did because this is easily one of the best Wu affiliated albums to be released.
The production on this album is of a high quality and it is quite similar to Raekwon's only built for cuban linx album but nowhere near as good as that piece of genius, but although the production is mostly handled by unknowns they all have a firm grasp on replicating the Wu and at times Mobb Deep sounding beats. The rhyming is of decent quality, all three demonstrating enough skill to carry the great production they've been given and there are rarely any guest's giving them plenty of space to show what they can do.
If you are a Wu fan I advise that you check this out, it is solid with some great production, fave tracks include Young Brothas, Weary Eyes and Bust a Slug.
Great album, great group, get it.
CRIME SYNDICATE.......2005-03-23
Myalansky, Joe Mafia & Napoleon lyrically hold their weight on this album, an introduction of these Wu-Tang affiliates from Virginia. Production is on point too. My favorite tracks include "Thug War", "Global Politics" w/ 12 O'Clock, "VA Cats",
"Golden Sands", "Crime Syndicate" (note: the group's original name), "Where Was Heaven" (as featured on The Swarm compilation), "Weary Eyes", "Lutanza", and "Bust A Slug" w/ M.M.O. (another group of Wu-Tang affiliates).
