This recording focuses on the original compositions of pianist and composer Michel Petrucciani. This is my first exposure to Christian Jacob and he is brilliant. In this CD, he arranges the works of Michel Petrucciani, who died at a young age. From Paris, he makes his home in L.A.

A remarkable (and long overdue) tribute to one of the 20th century's greatest jazz pianists. Several of the tracks may even improve on the original -- and that's no easy feat.

    I can't believe it's now available on CD! I highly recommend this one to anyone into the Roxy Music early solo efforts(Phil Manzanera/801/Eno/ Explorers, etc). This isn't like his first solo album, 'In Search Of Eddie Riff', nor is it mere instrumental noodling. Mr. Mackay provides here something of an instrumental concept album about Red China. This is one of Roxy's more progressive ventures- a lot of depth and scope here. It may take a few listens, but well worth the effort. He and Manzanera need to do something like this again. Bonus tracks are here as well. Try it.

              I am the artist and would like to inform you that this 'product' is one of many being sold by parasites who have taken it upon themselves to copy and burn CD's and then repackage them and sell as if they were the original products.

              This album was not released in the US. Very few copies of it were distributed in Canada. There is no way that this is original product, and it most certainly isn't worth your $36 US. So don't buy it.

              Legal action is under consideration at present.

              With controversial lyrics, head bobbin' beats, and various guest artists this album American Famine has so many different flavors. From jazzy horns to classic piano to synth and strings, this album creates a new feel to hip hop. Profit's vocals are fierce, his lyrics are brutally honest, he speaks about how difficult the world can be. Shows so much talent and ambition. The album means a lot to me!
