Yeah, My voice was not perfect at the time, the subject matter was weird. The beats were dope, Bootleg and I had hella fun, sampling everything and anything, from The Turtles to Star Wars, never worring about getting sued for clearing samples. I never thought that it would resonate with some people the way it did. I'm proud of that. I've been rapping for 20 years now, and I'm finally making the music I always thought I could make in the future. I bought this album 6 years ago based off of a suggestion from a cashier's suggestion (it was $6 used, not $50!!). I sold it to Rasputin's a few year later, not knowing how much I would miss it........but enough about me. This is a very well-constructed album and BOAC has this voice...it's kinda high-pitched, but not in a bad way, kinda like Qwel or Eyedea. Intelligent, white rappers are what I tend to follow and here I am, following BOAC. Cop it. Bet. Oh wait....the only copy for sale is $50. Yah, don't do that. Cop it elsewhere and then review it here.

LOST MY FIRST ALBUM AND HAD TO BUY IT AGAIN. I LOVE THIS ALBUM. THE BEATS ARE SOME OF THE MOST GENIUS BEATS IVE EVER HEARD. BOAC'S RHYMS ARE TO COMPLEXED TO WERE SOME WILL GET LOST AND HIS VOICE GETS ANOYING BUT THE PRODUCTION IS THE GLUE THAT HOLDS WHOLE ALBUM TOGETHER. THIS PROJECT WAS ONE OF THE PIONEERS FOR WEST COAST UNDERGROUND RAP, ALONG WITH FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIP, MYSTIK JOURNEYMEN, HIERO, ECT. THE UNDERGROUND CLASSIC (TRACK 10) THE ZELDA SONG IS THE BEST SONG WITH THE FLAWLESS PRODUCT BY BOOTLEG. IF YOU HAVENT HEARD THIS ALBUM DONT SLEEP!

What Did I Just Step In?.......2003-01-28

Its a good thing that the majority of rap music is bought by caucasians or otherwise this cat would be out of a job! His beats,lyrics, and delivery ... A whole lot of [junk]comes out of the bay area and I'm sick of it. I wouldn't be caught dead playing this album in my ride. This type of stuff needs to stay deep underground with the gophers and the moles.

An innovation in hip hop.......2001-03-12

Boac's Modern Originalus cd is one of the few Rap/Hip Hop cds that is actually full of intelligence. Boac isn't rapping about busting caps or drinking 40s. He actually has something to say. Boacis being real and expressing himself through rapping. This is one of the best underground hip hop albums I have ever heard. Boac and Bootleg are a perfect combination and definitely have a rap style different than any other.
