Kid 'N Play's 2 Hype album is truly a superb album. All its tracks have the unique style that Kid 'n Play brought to the table. It is well worth the money for anyone who wants to buy it. You won't regret the pruchase. You will probably need to buy another copy because you will listen to your first copy so much. that is how good it is!

4 out of 5 stars Still Rollin' With Kid 'N Play (4 Stars).......2005-01-28

Believe it or not, I still bump this CD on a weekly basis. In an age where rap music has become so depressing and serious, I find myself dusting off the old joints and remembering a happier time. I remember watching the video for "Gittin' Funky" for the first time and thinking "Okay, these guys are what's next". Kid 'N Play were (and still are) one of my most favorite rap groups of all time. They had a fun style and were accesible to all. You could even recite their lyrics in front of your mother. Though this isn't their best album (see: Funhouse), 2 Hype is definitely dope and it has all the ingredients of a bangin' LP. The album, along with just about everything you ever heard from these two, was completely produced by Hurby "The Luv Bug" Azor (the guy behind almost all of Salt 'N Pepa's success). There are classic tracks on the album in the form of "Gittin' Funky", "Rollin' With Kid 'N Play", and "Do This My Way". Throw in a couple tight joints like "Do The Kid 'N Play Kick Step", "Brother Man Get Hip", "Damn That DJ", and "Undercover" feat. The Real Roxanne and you have a certified banger on your hands.

There are a few missteps on this album like the forgettable "Can You Dig That" and "Soul Man". And even though "2 Hype" is catchy, it's still VERY corny. But the negatives about this album all end there. The rest of the album is tight.

I'd reccomend this album to anyone. It's just plain ol' feel good old school hip hop music. They just don't make 'em like this anymore and I'd advise anybody to pick up if they saw it sitting on the shelf. This is definitely a treat for the ears if I've ever heard one.

Standout Tracks: 2 Hype, Rollin' With Kid N Play (My Favorite), Damn That DJ (The Wizard M.E.), Undercover feat. The Real Roxanne, Gittin' Funky, Last Night, Do This My Way, and Brother Man Get Hip

Yes, He has done it again, Zero Gravity of Naperville is lucky to have such a talented man DJ every other weekend. While I must say this is not as good as 4 The ClubHeadz Vol. 1, which is a staple to my listening pleasure while cruisin', it is still far beyond anything else available at this time. I consider myself a specialist of club music, and I was pleasantly surprised with this latest enstallment by Mixin' Marc. I am not a big fan of any club intro, but this one is done especially well, alluding to all that is to come. Songs 2 through 8 are all club favorites, and once again he has made a CD that can be played throughout. Also, I appreciate the fact that there is no filler included on the CD to burn time. I am sure that in no time this will become my CD of choice. As I am sure it will be for you !

Trance and house purests, do not be fooled by the title, If you want good trance or house, check out Armin Van Buuren, Dj Tiesto, Deepsky, Kimball Collins or Euphoria 1 and 2, to name just a few.

5 out of 5 stars Killer c.d.! A+!.......2006-02-21

Can't say enough about this one! I've had some very spiritual moments listening to this c.d.. Egil goes out of his way to keep your attention with his track selection and various genres of trance. The c.d. builds quickly and keeps you movin' throughout. There are some nice breaks on the c.d. as well. I'd reccommend this disc for any trance lover. This is definitely my favorite Egil c.d. yet! Though hard to change my ratings on his other c.d.s because they're all soooo good! Thanks for reading.

3 out of 5 stars Each song connects right on to the next song!.......2002-06-15

I liked songs 1 called (I guess it is the price of falling in Love) & 13 called (Flesh).
The rest of the album is ok. For me, It is a good relaxation CD to listen to after work sometimes.

4 out of 5 stars buy the first one.......2001-12-28

The first Trancemission by Swedish Egil is by far my favorite cd, so when I saw this in the store, I couldn't buy it fast enough. That said, I put it into my cd player, and was instantly transported. it's just plain good. there are a few exceptions (I'm sorry Bedrock but Beautiful Strange just DRAGS on) but overall, this is a fun album. Not as trippy, fluid and magical as the first, but it's good trance with a nice bit of house and electro thrown into the mix. definately a buy

5 out of 5 stars True Club sound.......2001-12-13

This is the best CD I have ever purchaced. I've been listening to club music since I was 10 and I'm thirty now so that's a bold statment. There is a lot of talk about "cheesy" Trance out there but I personally question some of the other reviews about this Cd. The whole idea of trance is to take you on a journey which this cd does. I highly recomend this to anyone who is looking for the true club/trance experience!!!!!!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars This CD rocks!.......2001-09-06

Don't let the title fool you, the music on this CD really moves along. I can't seem to turn it up loud enough. The first 2/3rds is a nearly seemless groove/house mix -- good but not super-outstanding. Then it really shifts into high gear with some superb cuts, any one of which would be worth the purchase price: tracks #10 (my fav) and #11, and then #'s 13 and #14 finishing it off in a way you don't want to see end. Like a previous reviewer I'm now going to have to pick up Vol 1. 4+ stars.
