Highlight versions of cast recordings are by definition a compromise, and this reduction of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera is no exception. Weighing in at 59 minutes, it's over 40 minutes shorter than the two-disc version, excising many musical scenes that convey the flow and impact of the show (which include, admittedly, a lot of patter and screaming). On the other hand, all the hits are here--"Think of Me," "Angel of Music," the title tune, "The Music of the Night," "All I Ask of You," "Masquerade," and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again"--and Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman are still on hand to make their distinctive contributions to the original London cast. So if you're looking for a convenient, inexpensive single disc that will let you enjoy Lloyd Webber's scrumptious melodies without having to immerse yourself in the action, this just might be for you. --David Horiuchi
Customer Reviews:
Music of the Night????????.......2007-02-28
I really liked the idea of a highlights cd; however, The Music of the Night is not the same one that is on the original two-disc cd. The words aren't even the same. If you enjoy Music of the Night, skip this cd. Otherwise, this cd would be 5 stars.
Great short version!.......2006-12-06
If you only want to hear the songs from this musical, this one is for you. But if you want the full version, get the 4-disc version. I listen to this version in my car when I'm on the road, but I listen to the 4-disc version at home. Both versions are worth the purchase.
A long time favorite.......2006-08-26
This is one of my most treasured CDs. The voices of the cast are incredible! "Think of Me" and "All I Ask of You" are 2 of my favorites. If you enjoy the story behind Phantom, yu will like this soundtrack.
The Best Recording of this Show Available.......2006-04-21
I think that this is the best PHANTOM soundtrack out there:
1)It has the original Broadway cast, the best.
2)It cuts out the more risqu? parts of the show (believe me, there are some), making it "appropriate for the whole family."
3)The entire CD is on one disc, so you can go through the show w/o switching discs.
4)The only song that the movie soundtrack has on it that this doesn't is "Learn to Be Lonely," which appears in the credits, and isn't really a great song anyways.
Great CD.......2006-03-14
I bought this CD as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. We had misplaced the one that we had and needed a new one. This is one of our favorite cd's. Such beautiful music.

From a pure-pleasure standpoint, the first Beethoven's Wig was nothing to flip over, and the second disc in the series follows suit. However, that is not to say that this is not a valuable and possibly ingenious record. Those unfamiliar with the premise will quickly get the picture: Producer/writer/lead singer/chief clever guy Richard Perlmutter gathers a bundle of important classical works (Paganini's "Violin Concerto #2," Strauss' "Blue Danube Waltz") and makes up silly, catchy lyrics to lay over them, informing the listener about the piece or its composer. Standing out for their offbeat brilliance this time are "Dvorak the Czechoslovak" ("Humoresque #7," Dvorak) and "Wow What a Wedding Cake" (Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mendelssohn). Few stabs at mixing education with entertainment succeed so well. As a bonus, the second half of the CD repeats the symphonies straight up, presenting a neat opportunity to quiz kids 5-12 on what and who they've just heard. --Tammy La Gorce
Customer Reviews:
Greatest baby gift ever.......2007-03-15
Both of my grandchildren (and their parents and grandparents) are hooked on this CD and all of the silliness and beauty it brings into our lives. We sing to it, dance to it, and find ourselves thinking about it at odd times. Who can't love singing Verdi VERY LOUD? I've now started giving this as a simple baby gift, especially to those with older siblings. They are already equipped with clothing and nursery gear, and Beethoven's Wig invites the whole family to gather round...even if it is just on short car rides.
Great for the whole family.......2007-01-04
My husband, 18 month old daughter and I all love this CD. It's a staple in the car. One caveat- these lyrics will get stuck in your head and I now find myself singing the "words" to these songs when I hear them in a store or commercial! I'm hoping this means my daughter will recognize these songs as she gets older.
More Great Fun.......2006-03-13
Like the first volume, this CD encourages young children to enjoy classical music. The silly lyrics sometimes impart factual information on the composer or the piece. There are 11 sing-along symphonies and then the 11 symphonies are replayed without the lyrics--total of 22 tracks. Booklet with lyrics and trivia is included. All our children (aged 2-12) enjoy this CD, as do we.
One is better but this is still awesome!! Gotta have it!.......2006-01-10
My children loved Beethovens Wig 1. I checked this one out at the library. Then, we decided we had to have this one too.
Yes, one is the best but 2 is still wonderful.
Save yourself the shipping and order both at the same time.
We all thoroughly enjoy it. My 4 yr old can name these classicals when he hears them elsewhere and he can hum these beautiful songs. Much better than kiddie rhymes and Disney jingles. Culture your children the funniest way!!
Absolute joy, and endless fun!.......2005-11-15
The tunes and word stay with you and before you know it, you are signing them along. My two kids (ages 9 and 7) ask me to put the CD on as soon as we get into the car. What a wonderful and fun way to get them to love classical music!

With the help of some friends (James Taylor and Alison Krauss lend some vocal support), the trio of Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer, and Mark O'Connor have created yet another fascinating hybrid of chamber music and bluegrass. This follow-up to 1996's Appalachia Waltz is filled with highly lyrical string passages, a homage or two to Copland, and plenty of tracks where Meyer's bass vamps with the best of them. This is reflective (and relaxing) music, lacking the intricate structure of classical music and the rough edges of folk. But, boy, is it catchy! Yo-Yo Ma fans may be disappointed to hear that--aside from the gorgeous "Duet for Cello and Bass"--the cellist takes more of a supportive role on this disc. Still, this is fun music, more intimate than Short Trip Home (Meyer's other crossover project for Sony), but still lively (just check out "1B" or "Caprice for Three"). --Jason Verlinde
Customer Reviews:
Best on the Planet!.......2006-03-24
These are flawless preformances of great music by some of the most talented artists on the planet. Slumber My Darling will leave you so relaxed you'll have to remember to breathe. The reels will bring you to your feet. This music reaches the soul as well as the ear.
Stilted.......2005-12-15
I suppose you will enjoy this if you really like Yo-Yo Ma at his most boring. This is glorified elevator music and about as interesting.
Walking the trail.......2005-08-07
I actually heard this cd while having a root canal done at the dentist's office. I find the music so wonderful and the vocal segments are great. It does make you feel like you are walking the Appalachian Trail...and makes a root canal painless!
Superb concert.......2005-08-02
I have bought two copies of this disc -- one for my car. The music is wonderful, and the performances are memorable. There's a DVD version, which is equally good. The performers obviously loved working together, and that's fully evident.
Too Studied.......2005-06-22
Two of my favorite CDs in the last couple of years were "Obrigado Brazil" and "In Full Swing" by Yo Yo Ma and Mark O'Connor respectively. I found both of those CDs to be fine examples of genre-busting joyful music making. So when I saw these guys paired here, I snapped it up. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.
The music throughout most of the CD sounds too labored, too studied. It is, frankly, not that inspiring. The playing throughout is, of course, of the highest calibre and the recorded sound excellent. But there is no hint of the exhuberance of Folk or Bluegrass which is the supposed inspiration for the disc. The guest spots by James Taylor and Alison Krauss are good but they sound like outtakes from their own CDs, these songs are out of context here. (But note how many other Amazon reviews reference their contributions as reasons for loving the CD. Perhaps so many five star ratings because these people need broader musical exposure?)
Too many critics over intellectualize. I base my ratings on one simple criterion: How much did the music move me? In this case, not much.

Faith No More are virtually impossible to categorize; they blend metal and rap elements in a mix that becomes seamless on The Real Thing, whose hit single, "Epic," is a perfect combination of these disparate genres. Other high points are the thrashy "Surprise! You're Dead!," an excellent cover of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs," the funk-layered-with-keyboards "Falling to Pieces," and the soft but spooky "Zombie Eaters." With the addition of vocalist Mike Patton, the band secured a highly talented frontman and skilled lyricist. The Real Thing is one of those rare albums that is impossible to quantify but astoundingly good. More accessible than the follow-up Angel Dust, it's also the first album new Faith No More listeners should get. --Genevieve Williams
Customer Reviews:
badly in need of re-mastering .......2007-06-19
The album itself is without question five stars. The one star is for the HORRIBLE sound quality.
What is it?.......2007-01-10
Sure, this album has been out a long time, and it may even seem dated if you weren't born when it came out. But it's so damn good. I hadn't heard it in more than 10 years and just wanted to check it out again, to see if it really was as good as i remember. The short answer: you damn straight it's good. It's freaky-deaky! Heavy and soft, loud and quiet, chocolate and kiwis.
Go get it.
Faith restored.......2006-12-24
In the midst of near band melt down and free for all, FNM fired their lead singer and brought in friend Mike Patton to pen lyrcis to their album that would be known as The Real Thing. Mixing Mike's love for vocal ranges and styles (everything from rapping to just rocking out like a true rock frontman) with the band's most accessible sound to date (and looking back now, THE most accessible period), FNM created a staple sound/album of the alternative scene, mixing some true music styles from rock to rap to a pre-acid like jazz sound. While some reviewers will try to sit there and say this is THE ALT ALBUM and Nirvana's Nevermind is a St. Anger for it's genre(?), FNM's The Real Thing is one of the cornerstones of the Alternative genre that evolved into Grunge (sorry but while TRT is great... Nevermind DID change an entire rock world by going back to the roots of rock that were long forgotten and bogged down by hair spray and power ballads, destorying what was left in the wake of GNR's AFD).
There is nothing much to say but Faith No More's The Real Thing is just a rocking album for the masses.
It's still fun!.......2006-11-10
I LOVED Faith No More back in the day and owned most of their albums. My old cassette version of this got eaten in the player and I didn't replace it for the longest time. Finally got around to getting it on CD and realized how much I missed the band and the album! They were pretty groundbreaking for the time. Saw them in concert and loved them even more. I can't talk all technicla with you about styles, revolutionary sounds and whatnot, I just know what I like!
One word, Genius........2006-09-11
This album is pure genius. The blend of music that this album has is simply out of this world. To here the totally different contrasts on the album, listen to the funk "Falling to Pieces" and to the metal and darkness of "The Real Thing". This truly a masterpiece of an album. If you like music, i recommend this album. One of the best of all time and CERTAINLY FOM's best.

The Most Relaxing Classical Album In the World Eveer, Volume II.......2006-08-28
Good selection of music, poorly performed and badly arranged. Good album for a tag sale. Same comment applies for Volume I.
Great music listein to while you read in bed.......2005-08-21
I have listened to this CD for the last several years before going to sleep at night. I love classical music, and this is great music to help make my soul feel at peace and unwind after a taxing day.
A must buy for the non-snobbish classical music fan........2004-10-22
I bought Vol. 1 of this series and was quite satisfied, but I have to say I'm more than satisfied with this one. If you can just mellow out and enjoy some great pieces, you'll love this CD. #15 on Disc 2 is almost worth the price alone!
A bliss of spirit........2004-09-18
That's disc will open You a wonderful, beautiful world of sounds, their harmony & emotion : you'll feel your heart full of
Joy, Tears, Love.
Good LUCK!
Boring.......2004-05-11
Yes this CD will put you to sleep in minutes. Its the most boring uninspiring classical music. The first CD was very good but this Vol. 2 is like most movie sequels....AWFUL !

Amazon.com's Best of 2001
Anyone who's purchased one of Mary J. Blige's albums understands that the "queen of hip-hop soul" would much rather push artistic envelopes than lick 'em. With No More Drama, her enlisting of hip-hop's finest beat-makers to create lush musical soundscapes is nothing short of genius. On the Dr. Dre-produced "Family Affair," Blige implores the club set to "get crunk 'cause Mary's back" as she introduces some new slang to the hip-hop vernacular ("holleration"). "Steal Away" is a classic Neptunes-induced head-nodder in the "Love Is All We Need" vein, as Pharrell Williams chimes in a Curtis Mayfield-like falsetto. Those who like their R&B straight might be offended by the acoustic guitar solo by Lenny Kravitz on "PMS," or the album's title track, which samples the theme from The Young and the Restless soap opera. But listen to "Where I've Been" (a redemptive tale of Blige's not-so-rapid ascent from the 'hood, featuring guest raps from Eve) and the Missy Elliott-assisted "Never Been," and misgivings vanish. Whereas past Mary J. efforts were limited to tales of relationships gone awry, her outlook is more diverse and upbeat, while her scratchy, bluesy vocals have become more expansive, too. She raps on "Love," scats on "Beautiful Day," chats on the a cappella "Forever No More," and caps No More Drama with a string of uplifting ballads ("2 U," "In the Meantime"), neatly polishing off a release that will stand as one of the best of 2001. --Dalton Higgins

Mary J. Blige.......2007-02-07
This is a great album! It's like Mary's "My Life" album where you can relate to the songs.
..beautiful!.......2006-12-29
I hadn't listened to this CD for a while for some reason. Boy was I missing out! This is one of, if not my absolute, favorite Mary J. albums. It is truly beatiful. Her vocals on here are wonderful, the production is great. Every single song is great!
I actually like the original version a little bit better. I would recommend finding the original and buying it along with this one. This re-release is still great and the new songs keep the quality and integrity of the album. (That is very rare with re-issues.)
I definitely recommend this, along with the original if you can find it. This is one of my all time favorite albums.
One of her greatest.......2006-07-17
I have several albums by Mary J Blije and have to say that this is by far one of her best. I am completely satisfied and happy with my purchase and would reccomend it to anyone, whether they are already a fan of hers or not. Even my father loves it.
Bringing Realism Back Into The R&B World.......2006-06-14
After reviewing THE BREAKTHROUGH, which besides WHAT'S THE 411? is in my opinion Mrs. Blige's true tour de force, I thought I'd give here critically acclaimed NO MORE DRAMA some love. NO MORE DRAMA prior to THE BREAKTHROUGH was her last truly great album. LOVE & LIFE was good, but it wasn't quite as good as the album before it (NO MORE DRAMA). Once again on this album, Mary J. Blige sings of heartaches and working through life's struggles. While with other R&B artists this subject matter or topic might become tired and boring, Mary always makes for a good album, even on her weaker releases, which are very few.
NO MORE DRAMA opens up bombastically with the hit though too short in duration "Love" in which Mary J. Blige asserts her role as the queen of hip-hop soul. Perhaps what the draw is here is the catchy chorus in which the background vocals say each letter in the word "LOVE" using it as an irregular acronym in a sense. Following the opening anthem is perhaps Blige's best known universal hit and her only #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Family Affair". It is what it is, just an exceptional track with exceptional productions and seering vocals. "He Think I Don't Know" has the queen talking about a man thinking his women is stupid of what he is doing and stupid in general. While the song is long and drawn out, it is an irresistable listen. One of the real treats comes with "PMS" which uses a sample of the Al Green Soul classic "Simply Beautiful". Blige is at her most soulful. Later on, the Soap Opera theme sampled "No More Drama" is great with a hip-hop beat and painful-soul renching vocals from MJB. Finally, "Testimony" is a great, uplifting track and shows a more cheerful Blige.
Overall, this album is a production masterpiece with a number of samples and soulful hip-hop backdrops for Blige to paint with her incredibly soulful voice. Overall, it isn't the masterpiece of THE BREAKTHROUGH, but it is an incredibly strong album, period. 4 stars.

too freakin good.......2007-07-18
ozzy seems to know how to resurect his career very well. after sabbath gave him the boot he blew the lid off with blizzard of ozz and diary of a madman. then came the so-so records bark at the moon and ultimate sin. just as things start going downhill he comes out with this metal masterpiece. no filler, all rock. highlights are mr tinkertrain, i dont want to change the world, time after time, mama im coming home and of course no more tears. if you like ozzy or black sabbath then this is a must own. unless you are living in a cave you have probably heard most of these songs on the radio.
good but not the best.......2007-06-02
I don't like this album, but is my own opinion, for me no rest for the wicked is more good.
No More Tears Ozzy O........2007-03-12
Eight of the 10 tracks on the cd are excellent, it was a good purchase for me!
It's about his recovery.......2007-01-12
As far as lyrics go, "No More Tears" is Ozzy's best. In certain songs, there are glimmering hints of how honest he was with himself while getting clean. That takes courage.
"Road to Nowhere" summarizes a moral inventory Ozzy takes during his recovery days. While cryptic, the guilt and shame he expresses is balls-out honest and well put.
In "I Don't Want to Change the World," he sets his boundaries with religious hypocrites. But what stands out is his own relationship with God.
If you're expecting Sabbath, "Blizzard," or "Diary," put your expectations away. This album is unique, yet still light years ahead of so many more albums out there. As is to be expected with every album by Ozzy and band.
ozzy rules!.......2007-01-09
absolutely one of the BEST ozzy albums ever! Zaks playing style really comes out on this and you can hear the beginnings of his now legendary musical talents on this album. Its awesome.

Feels Good.......2007-07-10
Got hooked on Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers at their Rocky Point concert 5/2007. Their music is awesome! Got this CD and Americano!
Peacemakers with a twist...of lime.......2007-06-29
Americano is the most significant album, start to finish, that Roger has ever written. This is not Americano but harkens to a beautiful mix of Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy and the classic Peacemaker chords. The Peacemakers are not the Refreshments: they're better.
Buy it. You'll question the direction on the first pass and love it on the second.
The Peacemakers are making the most significant, organic contribution to new rock music in America today. If you doubt it, go see a concert: anywhere. You will be amazed
Not Giving Up Yet...but I Continue to Hope for Better.......2007-06-22
I'll admit that I am perhaps a little too attached to Honky Tonk Union, but I have really struggled to embrace the direction that Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers are going. Clyne continues to have strong chops, and the musicianship remains top notch. The song-writing, at least to my ears, has been on a bit of a decline over the last couple of albums. No More Beautiful World has a moment or two that reminds me why I became a fan, but I can't justify listening to an album front to back for a moment or two. It's understandable that bands need to evolve, but until that evolution equals or surpasses their origins, I wish RCPM could do a little more channeling or their early work.
rcpm.......2007-06-21
not there best album but there are some good songs here. give it a listen before you buy
Great Stuff.......2007-05-21
Don't even think about a Buffett comparison, Roger's a much better lyricist. This is a great album. Just buy it.

Album Description
European edition of their fifth studio album features a bonus disc of remixes of all the tracks features on the album. 22 tracks in all. Hooverphonic is based in Belgium, a small European country with a strong music scene featuring an open air festival tradition that starts as early as 1959. Hooverphonic's career has been marked from the beginning by international recognition, when the song '2 Wicky' was chosen for the movie 'Stealing Beauty' by Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci. From then on, their music kept appearing in movies, TV shows and commercials in the States, as well as in Spain and Japan. If Hooverphonic's '97 debut 'A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular' clearly showed trip hop roots, the band has evolved since with three albums in five years. In 2001 they headlined at the Werchter festival in front of a crowd of 50.000. In 2003 they released 'Sit Down and Listen to', live recorded with a string quartet and followed by a tour with more than 60 concerts in 9 countries. Sony. 2005.

Customer Reviews:
Their absolute best yet!!.......2006-12-28
I really, really enjoy this CD. I think this has to be their best album since "stereophonic" and is their "sweetest" music yet. I really do like all of their other albums also (with Jackie Cane being my least favorite), but this one really stands out to me as being extremely well crafted. And the fact that it includes an additional disc with remixes of every song really expands the value and the listening experience.
Completely Accessible.......2006-06-10
I made a "best of" Hoover CD a few yrs ago and everyone I pass it along to just falls in love with this band. This latest release, though it looks like it's a long way off from being out in the USA (I recommend buying it used), just keeps the magic rolling. It is smooth, fun to listen to, with great hooks, great beats, wonderful vocals. The "A" version of the title track is the coolest song I have heard in years, there is not a single weak track on either disc ("heartbeat" maybe - that one's not a keeper). I am very happy with this CD, its been playing at my house practically every night since I got it. Highest recommendation.
Essential For Any Hooverphonic Fan.......2006-03-16
"No More Sweet Music" is actually two albums - the aforementioned title and also a second disc entitled "More Sweet Music". Each of them contain the same 11 songs - by name and lyrics only. I've never heard an album like this before. I gave up deciding which disc is the primary disc. One disc is not comprised of dubbed versions, live versions, outtakes or anything else one could categorize.
Both albums present each song in a very different way. There is no discernable pattern - for instance, songs on one disc are not of a certain genre (trip hop, electronica, etc)..again each disc presents 11 songs, each completely different from the same title on the other disc. Amazing.
That said, the songs themselves are outstanding. I rank this album with Hooverphonics' finest efforts to date. Standout tracks are the title track, "We All Float", "You Love Me to Death", "Dirty Lenses" and the very radio-friendly "You Hurt Me".
Not only is this album a double treat, it is a challenge as well. In no way do I mean this album is inaccessible - it is, very much so. It is a challenge in that you have to get used to hearing two superb but absolutely different versions of the same song. A sensational idea and executed perfectly - an incredibly inspired and innovative feat. Superbly euphoric and dreamy from beginning to end. Highly recommended and well worth the money.
More sweet music...please!.......2006-02-07
While a lot of people dislike the direction Hooverphonic went after their debut, I happen to love it (for the most part). I loved A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular, but I've also loved every subsequent album. The one problem that I have had with all their albums (aside from the first) is that there are always a couple tracks that are SO odd and experimental that even I had trouble with them (such as the last three tracks on Presents Jackie Cane, which was otherwise my former favorite Hoover album). That is not the case with No More Sweet Music. They've ditched the over-the-top showtuney experiments in favor of a more cohesive and overall pleasant listening experience. There are enough chill tracks to please fans of their older stuff and enough poppy, flamboyant tracks to please fans of their more recent stuff.
I initially didn't like the idea of two versions of the same album because I expected one to be significantly better and the other to be mostly throw-aways. That is not the case at all, though! Both versions are incredible and I listen to them equally. I'd say the general sound is a combination of all previous albums. There's also an Asian flair among some of the tracks that adds to the cool vibe. More Sweet Music is more organic/loungy while NO More Sweet Music is more electronic/trip-hoppy. If I had to choose, I think I like More Sweet Music just slightly more - mostly because I like its version of "We All Float" much more and its version of the title track is probably my favorite Hoover song ever. Seriously, I'm obsessed with it. My least favorite track is "Music Box" from More Sweet Music. The music and the verses are cool, but the chorus is a bit off-key and just doesn't work for me.
Overall, this is another masterpiece (actually two masterpieces) by one of my favorite (and most underrated) bands. I can't stop playing these discs. This will definitely be one of 2006's best.
Old Hooverphonic is dead, long life new Hooverphonic!.......2005-12-30
The band is changing and this is clearly shows through thier latest album - it is nothing like their first releases. If you enjoyed the original Hooverphonic, you will probably be dissapointed, as you will find "No more sweet music" too commercial, almost pop. On the other hand, if you have more traditional tastes, you will probably like this release as it offers a few catchy melodies, more sophisticated sound and a good beat here and there. One item I must agree with another reviewer - the main singer's vocals are somewhat mediocre.

My First Time.......2007-04-01
I remember, back when my older brother got his first car and popped this cd in when I rode with him. I fell in love with this cd so much that I knew when the skips happened(and still do till this day) and was sad when he lost this cd. Years Later, I had my own collection but it was missing something. So I searched and searched and finally found it! I've seen the movie but I will always love this album. There's heavy, hard, laid back, funky, and truly bizzare, all are great.
Judgement Night.......2007-03-12
I hated the music on this CD. The only track I liked on the whole CD was track 2 and I love it - I play that track over and over.
Good soundtrack from a forgettable film. .......2007-01-10
If I remember correctly around the time this movie came out is when the film industry started to realize with a good soundtrack packed full of kick butt artists they could really draw in larger crowds and make more money off soundtrack sales. Well, this CD is one of many victims of that film industry marketing genius that came about in the early 90's that took some great artists of the day, and in my opinion made one of the must have movie soundtracks of its time for anyone who is a fan of rap, rock, metal, or alternative.
Sure the music itself is now going on 14 years old, but at the time this was one earth moving rap-rock masterpiece considering that the now classic Aerosmith/Run DMC and Anthrax/Public Enemy duets were the only real previous rap-rock collaborations in the public eye.
For the general Joe public I would say keep browsing and save your money. As for the fans of some of the artists that just need to hear those extra songs, like myself, or the genre that might be interested in hearing the tracks I would say go for it, but like any other CD not every song is a winner.
Forgot about this one.......2006-02-20
The movie sucked, but the soundtrack was a concept album that sadly went unnoticed. Before morons like Limp Biskit and Linkin Park ruined the rap/rock genre, this was probably the best all-around album of its kind, up there with the first couple Rage Against the Machine records. Standouts include what I consider Helmet's best song ever, "Just Another Victim," which is really two songs cut in half, with House of Pain borrowing the riff to make the latter minutes into great old-school hip hop. Slayer and Ice-T, Cypress Hill with Pearl Jam (the latter whom I usually HATE), and a brilliantly disturbing teaming of Faith No More and Boo-Yaa Tribe for "Another Body Murdered" (the first FNM song recorded after they fired original guitarist Jim Martin) are among the tightest and most intense here. Just stay away from the retarded title track by Onyx and Biohazard, it blows.
The only good rap-rock ever recorded.......2005-12-11
Good rap-rock is rarer than giant diamonds. This here is the Koh-i-Noor of the genre. What?
