We put this CD on at a party, and it got everybody moving. The songs are ones everybody knows, rock classics, but done in Swing time. Great way to bust a move, as my friends say. I suppose you could just listen to it, but if you're with people who dance, you're gonna dance! (In other words, highly recommended for people with feet.)

Powerful arangements almost make you forget the originals; it's as though they were always meant to swing. "That's The Way I Like It" is the only way I like it now-- the CD's worth it for that cut alone. And a great version of YMCA? I didn't think it was possible.

Really bad concept. 2nd rate production. Really bad mix. What did they do to the poor brass section? Mushed all together. (Sorta sad becasue the players seemed pretty good) The singer has to be a joke. Please tell me he is.

I have over the 2300 CDs in my collection. This is the worst.

        This song rocks. Everytime I go out I hear this song and it puts me in a great space. After all, isn't that whats its all about? Jeanie Tracy belts out the vocals and YES...I DO WANT SOME MORE!!! This song was played by virtually every DJ at the White Party. I would strongly recommend this single if you are looking for vocal house with ALOT of energy!!!

          Every single of the 12 songs included on this CD made the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart; however, not every single one of them is capable of heating up the dance floor. The biggest problem with this compilation is that the music's too varied for anybody's liking. People who dance to new wave (It's My Life, Really Saying Something, Hyperactive) would have problem dancing to 70's disco (Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now) and jazz-funk (US3). The saving grace of this CD are the sure-fire dance favourites, Politics of Dancing, Hot In The City, We Close Our Eyes, U Can't Touch This, Ice Ice Baby and Lies.

          In short, this CD comprises assorted dance music. It is an album to enhance one's singles collection (4 1/2-star rating), rather than a CD that rocks a party (3-star rating).
