Patrice Rushen is a very talented artist and composer! She is a very versatile musical genius. Not only can she play and compose music, her vocal talent adds to her outstanding accomplishments. This is old school Patrice Rushen at her finest. I love this CD!

As an Amazon customer, I enjoyed listening to Patrice Rushen's greatest hits from back in the 1980's & 1990's such as "Sending me Forget-Me-Nots," "Haven't you Heard," and "You Remind Me." Her sultry, quiet-toned voice really made these chart topping classics great music to listen to at parties, clubs and social gatherings. This CD is hard to find in local stores, so you Patrice Rushen fans should "hurry and order from Amazon before THEY ARE OUT of STOCK!"

You can get Rushen's Magnum Opus on any compilation CD of 80s pop music. A lot of these other Quiet Storm gems, on the other hand are not easily found on compilation CDs, even though they are great songs in their own right ("Watch Out"/ "Feels So Real"). Rushen has made great use of synthesizers and uses a lot of different song structures that keep the music from sounding like pop kitsch.

This is a great and versatile CD for running or just listening to quietly in the dark.

It's very well worth the purchase price.

I have had the privilege to see these guys perform @ Hot Import Nights (2003) and Cyberfest, etc and they really bring it! The lead guy is crazy. Does acrobatics and stuff. Very unique and have their game tight for sure. I was surprised to see this cd priced where it is but felt it worth it for sure. Well, my amazon.com pack came and i opened it up and found 2 discs (1 cd, 1 dvd). the music is ill and the dvd is tight! highly recommend it. Their site is www.kungfuvampire.com

One love to the myth of the far east to the west coast bringin bangin ass hits on this new album /dvd audio visual experience. its a good look into the life and reality of the musician himself. I would recomend Kungfu Vampire Blood Bath and Beyond to anyone with an ear for good trippy heart felt hip hop with super twisted and head noddin lyrics and beats. I love it! My Favorite track is the 1st one abra cadaver, and lanes change is wonderful for crusin to work, or just drivin in general

My girlfriend bought me this and was surprised to find it not only a double disc but a wicked full-length cd but also a great dvd including live footage, music video, etc. Apparently this band plays live quite a bit but it'd be great to see this band touring and over here.

Good Big Band.......2002-09-07

I have to give kudos to the Sea Breeze record label since I've noticed they record a lot of the collegiate bands across the country. Not only is it it heartening that they are giving encouragement to the younger generation to continue the traditions of jazz, this country's true art form, but it also makes available to the jazz fan another venue for some pretty good music.

This cd is a case in point.....very good big band effort. My favorites were "Cuba", written by Bill Russo and originally performed by Stan Kenton, and the Charlie Parker tune "Donna Lee", a variation of "Indiana". Fans of big band will find this enjoyable.
