Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars its really good.......2005-05-11

hey as an R&B album or a soul album its really soothing to the mind and its a perfect relax potion, but ehh this is in no way Hip Hop Music or any form or rap. just please dont call this rap because thats just disrespectful. but back in 1993 it was funny to see KRSONE throw them off stage and take over LOL. but yea its a really good album to listen to when your tired or sleepy or sumthing but DONT CALL THIS HIP HOP! ill use this album when i need to fall asleep fast.

4 out of 5 stars I loved it!!.......2005-02-03

I watched my feelings come alive with this CD. It's emotional, it's endearing. P M Dawn gives listeners a full view of what's to expect through his lovely music. Inspired by famour artists and it's one to cure you and cure you down when those events come to.

3 out of 5 stars Not the P.M. Dawn "Best Of" I would put together but............2004-04-27

These days so many greatest hits are just thrown together without thought. Unfortunately this is one of them. I own all P.M. Dawn discs and I have to say I am very suprsied at the record companies lack of attention to what this band really offers.

So many would be "hits" are left off this CD. I would spend my money on their other CD's and compose your own "best Of". The beauty and intelligence of thhis band is unique and is now missing from today's bands. On the track Downtown Venus they sample the drum beat to Hush by Deep Purple and turn it into an incredible funky song. No one wlse these day is doing that. Also on the CD, Jesus Wept the song 9:45 wake-up dream was left of this compilation. This song is just pure magic.

I miss P.M. Dawn and hope they get together again for more magical moments in music.

3 out of 5 stars A Valiant Try..........2002-10-01

In my mind there are few bands as synonymous with the early-mid 90's as PM Dawn, that wonderfully talented and introspective duo from out east. A collection of their best material to date is a no-brainer. But this collection is only partly sucessful. Many of the big tunes you would expect are here: the wonderful 'Set Adrift on Memory Bliss', 'Paper Doll', and 'Sometimes (I miss you so much)'. My beef is not so much that some good stuff was left off, but that the remixes are completely stupid and unnecessary. I never listen to them. If I want a 'dance' album I'll buy one. But here I'd rather have 15 or so of PM Dawn's best than this hodge-podge. Check out their cd's from your local library and make your own 'best of'. Save your $.

2 out of 5 stars Not the ...best of.......2002-06-30

I am a huge PM Dawn fan but this compilation is missing some vital songs of PM Dawn's evolution through their 4 albums. I could go into several examples but will only say..where is Hale-Bopp Regurgitations (from Dearest Christian..)This 'best of' ended up as a very one sided picture of a much more versatile band. If this is the only PM Dawn album you own (or plan to own) than do yourself a favour and buy the 4 CDs and you will discover the REAL magic of PM Dawn..far beyond what this CD portrays.
