kilo had a long and strong music career in the early 90's a string of hits than ran through the clubs in the south like a natzi with an m16..hailing from bankhead of atlanta ga. kilo always stayed relivant.. with songs like ghetto drop, nasty dancer,cocaine,do u hear what i hear, and lets not forget that unforgettable sounds of baby,baby ft. big boi of outkast.When lets get this party started dropped it was nodoubt the south was sleeples ounce again and the dj's was rocking crowds all over the bottom of the map. lets get this party started was one album out of many to prove that kilo was and really is the first, and the king of the south whole movement...enough respect due

Possibly a great CD.......2003-06-07

Kilo has always been a favorite of mine. The bass is incredible in being that his newest CD is called "Organized Bass". My favorite song on this cd is the first track. This cd is a great one to add to your collection. Although Kilo Ali is not very well known, he's a great and unique rapper. Ding-A-Ling is also a good song that hits very hard on a good system.

Album Description

Chris Hill started DJing in Soho in the late '60s. Chris established himself as the supremo Soul jock, firstly in a small club in Orsett and then at the Goldmine, Canvey Island. Throughout the 70's the club was a catalyst for the growing underground soul scene, and music fans from all over the country flocked to the legendary Saturday nights, many of whom went on to become stars in their own right: Sade, Spandau Ballet, Incognito, Light of the World. The Clash, Depeche Mode, Culture Club, Alison Moyet and Soul II Soul. At the height of its fame, Chris decided to move closer to London and began his now legendary residency at Ilford's Lacy Lady. At The Lacy patrons were fed a diet of the best music black America had to offer; hard driving jazz funk, fusion and the hottest soul. These are songs hand picked by Chris Hill, the Godfather DJ of Soul, from his box of currently played new Soul anthems, a 2005 playlist from Chris' sets at Caister, the Lacy Lady and other venues where Soul is still the word. 14 tracks. Chris Hill is One of the Major Influences in British Music. The First Star Club DJ for Over 35 Years He Could and Still Does Pull More People to his Gigs Than Any of the Supposed "Names" of Radio. Conceivably He Invented the Modern Notion of Clubbing. Without Him There is No "Weekenders". He was the First to Mix Soul, Jazz, R&b, Latin, and to Toast, to Shout,to Wonderful Stuff. Above Everything Else Hill Has Impeccable Musical Taste. What was Obscure to Us was Blindingly Brilliant to Him. The Diamonds in the Rough Had Never Been Hidden to Him, They Twinkled in Obscurity Until Hill Blasted them at Us While We Danced Deliriously Never Knowing What These Miraculous Sounds Were. He Conveyed that Enthusiasm Every Night Through his Manic Showmanship. Simply,he's a Star.
