Rasco is an old fashioned braggin' 'n' boastin' MC who may not dazzle the superscientific crowd, but he still puts together an unquestionably solid album. The formula's simple: First of all, stick with what you're good at. Rasco is about one thing--pounding wack rappers into submission. He'll find a dozen different ways to do it, but Ras will get the job done. Next: employ the best producers possible. Rasco's production roster is a who's who of the hottest Left Coast beat makers, including Evidence and newcomer Paul Nice. Kutmaster Kurt keeps getting better, this time on the kinetically crushing "Take It Back Home," and the stalwart Peanut Butter Wolf is at his sublime best with the hook on "What Y'all Wanna Do." --Oliver Wang

Throughout Time Waits, turntable incisions provide blistering reminders that choruses can empower hip-hop music rather than suck up to wack mass trends.

The whole album is tight productionally: Beanut Butter Wolf makes a real solid production very creatively. But I think Rasco is up to Peanut Butter's beats and makes the beats drop...
All in all, this is a real solid album. I really like it.
4 stars.
