Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars sleeper cuts.......2003-05-16

THIS CD HAS A LOT OF SLEEPER CUTS, MOST PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR SMOKEY, STEVIE OR LIONEL RICHIE. I WANTED MORE. THE DEBARGE FAMILY SURPRISED ME. "RAINY NIGHT" BY CHICO DEBARGE, DEFINITELY A SLEEPER CUT. IT KEPT ME AWAKE. YOU CAN CERTAINLY GET YOUR GROOVE ON IF YOU TAKE TIME TO LISTEN TO THE LYRICS. I KNOW I DID. THE STORMY BACKGROUND MUSIC, VERY SLY. I LIKED THAT. BUNNY DEBARGE'S"SAVE THE BEST FOR ME" A GOOD DANCE CUT. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO HER? OH WELL, AT LEAST, SHE HAD 1 HIT. IF SHE WOULD'VE STUCK AROUND, WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH SHE WOULD'VE BLOWN UP. I GUESS THAT'S WHY CHICO IS STILL AROUND BECAUSE HE GOT HIS ACT TOGETHER. I KNOW OTHERS MAY DISAGREE WITH ME BUT I LIKED BRUCE WILLIS & THE POINTER SISTERS VERSION OF "RESPECT YOURSELF". GIVE THE WHITE BOY SOME CREDIT. AT LEAST HE RESPECTS BLACK MUSIC TRADITION. THAT'S WHY HE HAD THE POINTER SISTERS BACK HIM UP. WHEN YOU RESPECT TRADTION, I DON'T CARE WHAT RACE YOU ARE, PEOPLE WILL RESPECT YOU. I VIDEO WAS OK. I GUESS THAT'S WHY HE WENT BACK TO ACTING. I ALWAYS ENJOY LISTENING TO STACY LATTISAW.
SHE'S ANOTHER SISTER WHO SHOULD'VE HUNG IN THERE. I HOPE SHE RETURNS TO THE MUSIC SCENE 1 DAY.

While I was Glad that Smokey RObinson came back strong most of the other material here is pure Formula.Remember The Prince CLone of The moment Giorgio?&this wasn't even the video version which was far better.Chico Debarge not happening here nor Bruce Willis?? What was Motown thinking?Stevie Wonder is so/so with Skeletons.
