Ignore the naysayers. This is AK1200's best work to date. It starts out mellow... nice and slow, almost like an LTJ Bukem set, and slowly builds into some pretty dense jungle. AK really shows off his technical skills here, his mixing is top notch. He layers beautifully from one track to the next.

If you are expecting hard, angry D&B, this is not the CD for you. It's pretty hard at times, but it is primarily very laid back and chilled.

Probably one of the best parts of this CD is that he doesn't have one single MC or female vocal (not counting the pornstar style dialogue).

I am from Central Florida and I have been subjected to AK 1200's cheesy jump up for way too long and it pisses me off that I ran across this DJ.I wouldn't be so harsh if he just stuck to spinning acid jazz and trip hop-- that is what he is good at. And once again, this cd dissapointed me like all his supposed "drum and bass" Cd's.

Lackluster drum & bass without any driving force behind it. What a disappointment. This mix never picks up, and the sound qual is for the birds. At a time when we need good American D&B DJs the most, It pisses me off that we pay so much attention to crap like this. If you want to support a better American DJ without diving too underground get Dieselboy's THE SIXTH SESSION. Above and beyond that, check out Stakka + Skynet, TEE BEE, RAM Trilogy, and anything on METRO or BC RECORDINGS. DON'T SETTLE FOR THIS SORRY REPRESENTATION OF D'n'B!

From the first to the last song, I enjoyed every one!! Great sound, lots of energy, emotion and talent on this CD!! If you are looking for a good rock CD, try this one out especially at this good bargain price. I just saw DJ Assault live in KY. He brings a great stage presence, and his set was great. I bought his CD (not found on Amazon, it's ghetto tech isle 2) and it was nothing like his set. The CD is filled with basic beats and simple hooks and rhymes. It is nice to see something diff. in electronic music, but it could be better.

Off the Chain for the Y2k is a very fine full set by DJ Assault (except the first three tracks, which are excellent stand-alone "bonus" tracks). I cannot recommend this album too highly to anyone looking for good, fast techno. I offer that recommendation with the following subtext - DJ Assault is RAW. Look at his song titles and listen to the samples. If you are still smiling when you are done, do not hesitate to get this album and put it on repeat. If you find the titles and samples to be the worst sort of misogynist obscenity, you are correct - go buy this album anyway and listen to it until you feel differently.

DJ Jelly and MC assault are the best rap producers I know today. The A-town is hildin it down fo real. This album only has a few tracks but it's still tight and should be up there with other famous rap stars. If you want a bass compilation, go get this album. Hold it down Big Oomp. Don't stop it.

      Yes, I know the looks of the cover my not be what some of us would call proper, but the joints on this cd were popin'. Every cut on this album makes you want to get up and move your body. It will make you feel like you're in the club if your not. So yes if you like shakin' that thang and you wit the hype bass drivin' music this is defintely the c.d. to buy, and don't hesitate.

      Its my CADILLAC B17*%, so stop scewin' wit my head. Bass Gasm gave me a BASS HEADACHE and my girlfriend A Vibration Orgasm with that HUUUUUGE DROP. I cant believe this stuff, Ill i'm runnin is 3 tens and 1 fifteen and my damn drunk just bout blew OFF!

      DJ Assualt brings us his music straight from the streets of Detroit. His music is a blend of Miami style booty music and Urban Techno. It's a great ablum to play if you want to get your party moving. I believe the main down fall to this album is the foul language. It may be a bit to strong for some listeners. I would not recommend this CD to anyone under the age of 16. But, if you like to dance to fast hard hitting beats, this CD is a definate buy.
