When you meet Christopher Jon, it is not a stretch of the imagination to see that this is the man behind I, Parasite, one of electronic music's most brutal and un-apologetic bands in recent years. With their debut release Turin in 1999, I, Parasite gained a loyal fanbase worldwide. I, Parasite returns now with a bold and ambitious album.

On This Cold Floor is a heavily conceptual piece, offering 15 of the rawest and most brutally honest tracks from the disturbed psyche of mastermind Christopher Jon. Moody electronic atmospheres meld with vicious beats, mangled synth noise, digitized guitars and Christopher's raw, emotionally charged vocals.

WOW...Hard to put a review like this into words. Christopher Jon is the poet and brain child of I, Parasite and Darkvision Media respectivly. "On this Cold Floor" is a maticulously plannned out, wrote and put together collection of industrial agnst and power, with a good dash of almost techno and hard rock. Whatever it is, the cold noise created on computers and keyboards works itself out as it's own entity accompaning Christoper Jon's pleading, haunting and deep-felt vocals. Dare I say this work of art is the work of someone well on his way of becomming the next Trent Reznor. However dark his vision is,(no pun intended, HA) I, Parasite tears a deep hole in whatever genre you might try to squeeze them, kicking and screaming, into. Songs like "Thirst" and "Something Terrible" hurl you into an emotional addiction of sorts. Adding to the mystery and mayhem, is Shikee of Android Lust with backing vocals on "Spoke". The lyrics not meant for all to understand, however, you do get a glimpse of what is beheld in the mind of such a brooding artistic talent. Can't wait to see what the future holds for I, Parasite.

This CD is so awesome i can hadrly stand it, i cannot stop listeing to it, and everytime i do it is a different experience, it is intense, full of emotion and passion, a masterpeice. I love every IP release, i would recommend horseslayer and turin, as well as all of android lust and monstrum sepsis. I agree with a previous reviwer, this is my pick for best CD of the year hands down. I wasnt sure at first but i love the new direction Christopher Jon is going, i honestly thought i was going to be upset that IP was changing directions b/c i love their old stuff so much, but OTCF is my favorite IP realease,i cannot wait to see what he does next. The lyrics are incredible, and the way that each song flows together, esp when dry flows into thirst, every song on this CD is incredible and what really is awesome is this IS Christopher Jon, the lyrics, the vocals, the instruments, everything is done by him alone, he is an incredible musican.

In the Turgid Swell of the new Mellenium Spawned from the UnderGround in America Hails a new hope in Real Music By The Name of I-parasite , What better soundtrack to listen & absorb in the Chaos after september 11th. The Talents and Artistic Formula from Christophers music is refreshing in an industry most into looks and sales of cloned and copy cat genres, On This Cold Floor is a mile stone in not just I-Parasite history but in the Dark wave/Ambient Industrial genre. If you are looking for the most Raw and Honest i Suggest you buy I-Parasites On This Cold Floor and invest in the other albums I-Parasite have to offerthe likes of Turn & Horeslayer.

This CD is amazing! I picked it up last month and haven't stopped listening to it. I cannot tell you how refreshing it's been to actually pick up a CD and be surprised by its instrumentation and musical direction.
I, Parasite has really come into its own. A great progression from the band's previous industrial releases. Fans of Tool, NIN, Neurosis, Pink Floyd - you NEED to check out this CD. I, Parasite is paving new grounds!
