A great obscure hip-hop treat.......2007-05-24

The Juvenile Committee were a very talented group of young rappers. With production by both Dr. Dre and the Bomb Squad (of Public Enemy fame), this should have been a massive hit, but unfortunately this album had zero marketing and it seems like barely anyone knows about it. At one mere cent on Amazon you really can't go wrong with the first - and last - album the Juvenile Committee threw down. With lyrics adressing many political issues during 92 ('Justice for the Hood) and about being a youth growing up the hood (numerous songs) combined with songs about love ('I Want That Girl) make this worth picking up. The whole "juvenile gangsta" vibe grows repetitive, but this overlooked album still deserves a spot in your personal rap collection.
