The best Dr. Dre song ever.......2002-04-20

This single, from the "Friday" soundtrack, was released back in 1995. It remains the best work of Dr. Dre, hip hop's greatest producer. "Keep Their Heads Ringin'" is great for a friday night, when you've worked all week and all you want to do is party. This song is especially recommended for night time, since that's the vibe you get from the mind-blowing beat. Dre probably didn't write the clever lyrics, (at least not alone, he does write some of his lyrics) but they are nonetheless effective. They are also morbid at times, which fits the beat perfectly. Check out these lyrics:

The lyrics seem to avoid the literal gangsta style the West Coast is know for, preferring a more hip-hop approach. But it's the beat, not to mention the unforgettable chorus, that makes this a classic. Better than The Chronic, 2001, and even Doggystyle. And believe me, it's hard to get any better than Doggystyle. Thank God it's Friday!
