5 out of 5 stars Great.......2000-02-12

If you liked the Teen Idols first self titled compact disc then you will also thoroughly enjoy this outing. The music is pretty much the same as the first album, with every song being fast poppy punk rock with nice vocals. There is actually one song on this album that I do not like, it is the one song with a male/female duet on vocals. THe rest of the songs rock though. Buy this if you're a fan of fast pop punk.

5 out of 5 stars The most promising band in recent memory..........2000-01-27

I'd never even heard of "Teen Idols" until I kept hearing them on FatFreeRadio. Why is classic fast pogo punk so rare these days? This one, their second, is much of the same - great melodic and fast pogo punk. It's very hard to sit still and listen to it.

5 out of 5 stars My favorite album.......2000-01-14

This is my favorite cd in my collection along with screeching weasel's my brain hurts... any music fan will like this cd and any pop punk fans will love this! great songs the whole way through- the worst song on this cd is the best song on most other band's albums... check out songs like 20 below, historian, big girl now, and now and then

5 out of 5 stars Kiss and Hug it.......2000-01-13

No hooks are missing on their second album. This is a classic and belongs in every pop-punk collection. "20 Below" still sounds great after repeating it a thousand times. This isn't depressing emo music for wimps so kiss it and hug it and go cry somewhere else. Okay.

5 out of 5 stars Nashville's finest.......1999-08-02

I have been going to see these guys play for going on 5 years now, and they just keep getting better. Plain and simple, these guys are the hardest working band in Nashville and the desereve every bit of fame they have. Call them sell-out fellow nashville kids if you want, you're just jealous!!! About the CD...what can I say? It's fun, catchy, and fast pop-punk! Consume!

5 out of 5 stars fish fry blues.......2005-10-11

Paul "Wine" Jones, who just succumbed to cancer, could party on the strings like nobody's business, while putting down his life's experiences in lively Northern Mississippi style. His fingerwork was mesmerizing, with a circular hypnotic approach to melody development all of his own. As a performer his style of dress and manner was always gentlemanly, which made his visceral blues even more profound and memorable. This may be his last studio recording, but hopefully Fat Possum has some live stuff in the bag for later.

5 out of 5 stars Hard Rockin' Heavy Metal Mississippi Blues.......2004-08-08

This has to be one of the rawist Blues album fat possum has ever done. Some of the trackes like "Roll That Woman" and the Title track rival R.L. Burnside's A Ass Pocket Of Wiskey in there rawness. Even the remix "goin' back home" is good. Plus Paul Jones even playes Acoustic on some of the tracks. The funny thing is the review only gives it 2 & 1/2 stars! It deffinately diserves more. Paul's guitar sound and eratic phrasing are simmilar in many ways to T-Modile Ford, exept Paul has a better voice than Ford. So If you like T-modil Ford, R.L. Burnside or just raw blues in general than this is for you. By the way the reason Paul Jones doesn't go as Paul "Wine" Jones is because he gave up drinking.

5 out of 5 stars Tape Your Windows & Nail Down the Shutters!.......2001-06-04

Whew. This is it: the unadulterated, paint-peeling, whupass blues I've been craving. Don't miss this one... it'll make a greasy Mississippi-August sweat break out all over your body even if you're in Minneapolis. Paul Jones is the real, real deal.

I can't believe this is on [...].... If you're looking for Glen Matlock's band, this ain't it. No, we didn't know there was another band called the Rich Kids 30 years ago... No, we don't care.... We were 18, come on.. Funny thing is, we sold this at shows for [...] bucks. I'd like to know how it got to be 20, but I'm flattered. If you're really interested, just get ahold of me [...] and I'll send you one for free...

4 out of 5 stars Young, Raw, But Outstanding!.......2007-03-12

Don't be fooled by the group's name, they started out pretty much like every other 'Garage Band'. Formaly known in Southwest Missouri, as THE GREY, they were on a 'shoestring budget', and instruments purchaced by their Dad from local pawn shops, they were able to pull together a very unique, but entertaining sound. Matthew Long, the guitarist, and author of most of their songs, has a rough untrained voice, but proved to improve as the band moved on. His insight into life, at such a young age, is part of the draw, and is hard to believe as you listen to some of the lyrics. Lucas Long, the bassist contributed to some of the lyrics, but is happy to just add his talents as the band explored more venues. Cody Ward is the drummer, although his talents are not limited to just that role. His dad was a very accomlished Rockin' Lead gutarist, and Cody can prove it. All of the songs on this Cd are from the guy's own experiences, and with enough listening, you can appreciate the fact that it was recorded when they were still in their late teens! But it is a rough recording, and without the benefits of superior mixing. But given what they had to work with, it is truly outstanding, and is worth listening to, at any price. It is a solid representation of today's diverstiy of Rock, and the talent that is out there.
