My Personal Favorite Recording of Classic Hymns.......2007-03-30
If I was stuck on an deserted island with only one CD to choose from, this would be it. When I was going through chemotherapy for Hodgkin's Lymphoma, this collection (a cassette at the time) kept my spirits up and aided in my healing. Listen to these excerpts and taste and see how truly good this glorious music is.

The most difficult aspect of finding a good choral CD is the mix. Hymns Triumphant is fantastic.

I have listened to Thy Kingdom Come many times, and had the privilege of singing Thy Kingdom Come with Steve Fry during the Feast of Tabernacles in Israel in 2004. This is a powerful worship experience, not just an album to be lstened to.
The musical quality of this album is outstanding. I highly recommend it!

With the opening riff of the very first song it is clear these guys worship at the altar of Solitude Aeturnus. As with their idols, Doomshine present Epic Doom Metal of the highest quality with waves of crushing riffs laced with excellent guitar solos; and while the lead singer here is no Robert Lowe (who can match him, really?) he is nonetheless a solid performer with plenty of talent. This worship is definitely a good thing as I adore Epic Doom Metal when it is done well. And Doomshine do it very well, indeed! The greatest single aspect of this release is that the songcraft has so much depth that the music becomes more enthralling with each spin of the CD. This makes the return value for this album exemplary. With Solitude Aeturnus releasing a fantastic album of their own entititled "Alone", fans of Epic Doom Metal should be overjoyed with the darkness being offered up these days. "Thy Kingdom Come" is intelligent, emotional, and pulled off with all the mastery of their heroes. Superb! Running time: (57:38)

Great doom.......2005-04-15
this is a great traditional epic doom album, good riffs, good melody, some good clean guitar portions and good epic vocals that do not reach annoying pitches. this album has a dark sullen feel, but they manage to sound like something more than simply a Candlemass rip off, with hard pounding riffs, the occational harmonic minor passage, and the not so operiatic vocals. i didn't even realize this was an import, i picked it up in a local shop here in new jersey, so i guess this won't be getting that much press, but it should. Doomshine are really a band to watch out for, one of the best german doom acts.

The O.G. Tela (King T) is still sittin' on chrome!.......1999-06-25
I would have given this LP a five star rating, but the fact that Dr. Dre only produced only three of the tracks automatically cuts it down to four. Dre should have done most of the beats and released it the year he said it was going to be ('98), while people were still hyped for it. The album is definately off the hook though, for sure. I'm really feelin' the tracks "Got It Locked", "Real Raw" and "The Chron" f/Dr. Dre. Since "Got It Locked" has been played a lot, the album should also feature, a remix version. That would make it really interesting. I'm hoping Dre (Executive Producer of this album) will realease it pretty soon! The dude Tela shines bright! Peace...
