Customer Reviews:
wicked.......2006-10-02
another banger from the philly lads(tuff crew)i think pretty much all there stuff is on point,i mite a bit biast when it comes to philly rappers but what can i say i like the best.
Amazing. Incredible. Stupendous........2006-05-06
I agree with most of thw reviewers. Especially connecting it with Ultra's legendary 'Critical Beatdown'. Unheralded by the media & the critics, but fanatically praised by the fans of quality true school hip hop. DJ Too Tuff has re-appeared on myspace.com/djtootuff after a longtime rumour that he died a few years ago. If I could get this on laserdisc/8 track/betatape I would... This & 'DangerZone' are highly reccomended & essential for all completists in regards to the golden years of this music.
One of the Best.......2004-09-09
I am so glad that this album is still available for the masses. Released during the peak of Hip-Hop music, "Back to Wreck Shop" is definitely one of the best rap albums of all time - almost to the level of the Ultramagnetic MCs' "Critical Beatdown" (without a doubt THE best rap album).
Ice Dog, T.L., L.A. Kid, and even Monty G definitely display their lyrical skills and street toughness on this album. And, DJ 2Tuff really shines throughout the entire LP (my favorite performance of his coming on the track "Come On & Go Off").
If you don't have this album then you need to immediately make it a part of your collection. One of the classics!
Even if you are not a hip hop fan buy this cd.......2003-01-11
This has to be ranked along side "Paid In Full" and "Critical Beatdown",classic old skool beats and safe rhyme. You don't get much better. All rap artists these days are trying to top what Tuff Crew and UltraMagnetic did years ago.In the words of Tuff Crew,"Gimmie Some".
Those who know the art of rap.......2001-05-13

Product Description
You cant front on this 1989 underground rap classic reissue on Warlock Records! Tuff Crews Back To Wreck Shop is the follow up to their ground breaking debut Danger Zone. This is legendary Philly boom bap, punch a sucka MC in the face at its finest. Its a must have for any true school Hip Hop connoisseur. You should cop it for The Overlord Ice Dog alone, whose monotone style crushes songs like Show Em Hell and the title track, Back To Wreck Shop. LA Kid and Tone Love skillfully compliment Ice Dogs raw flow on tracks like Mountain World and What You Dont Know. The on-point production is served up by DJ Too Tuff whose breaks and cuts make all 15 tracks bang from beginning to end. If you dont have this record in your collection, youre missing out on definitive chapter of Hip Hop history.
