another near classic from Eiht --- GEEEEAHH!!! 4.5 stars.......2004-11-03
Eiht goes independent for this one and deliver's probably his 3rd best solo effort to date (as of 11/04). This cd is a must have and features some great songs with little guest appearances, I think one verse on one song is from someone other than Eiht. If only he got the airplay he deserves at least on the east coast (couldn't say for the west -much like Spice 1 or DJ Quik and many other Cali rappers) he'd have at least 10 million solo records sold and a bunch of platinum plaques. Production is great on this especially for an indy release and is done by half ounce productions (4 songs), Tha Chill (4 songs), Young Tre (2 songs), Binky Mack (4 songs), and Damn Funk does one.

A True Eiht Fan.......2001-12-03
From the Feuding days with "DJ Quick" Ive been a Huge fan. Being From NYC I was strictly one track minded when it came to Hip Hop in my my East Coast will always be a step up in my opinion. then I saw Boys in the hood and heard Eiht's "growing up in the Hood" Instant fan I thought his tracks had alot more spice than our NYC tracks and still do think that 'Now' and the Hooks he used "all for the money" "thuggin it up" and many more were R7B flaver with a eiht touch. what happened to him? especially after he hooked up with Wack 10, and now Its like all the tracks lack the Eiht of Old. I am dissapointed but I will always buy his music hoping one day for a Triumphant return. He needs to stick to the accented rhyme style with the funky bass lines and instramental hooks and an occasional female voice and stop trying to be main stream. A dissapoinment for a TRUE 8 HYPE THUG FAN JEAH!!
still a g.......2001-08-11
eiht delivers as usual, still cpt 4 life, eiht can still flow, all his cd's deliver anyway left mack 10 and still hoo bangin.for all gangster rap fans who are tired of the sell outs on bet, and mtv this is for you.
Tha8t'z Gangsta.......2001-07-19
This album is truly gangsta, just like eiht.Eiht iz old school and he manages to maintain himself. The beatz are very dope, this album would be third on my list cuz honestly, we come strapped, and n'my neighborhood were better but thatz my oppinion. If your a eiht fan, than i suggest u pic this album up cuz i will gaurantee u that u will enjoy it.
Pretty good.......2001-07-16
I've been a devout fan of eiht and CMW for years and I have to say that I was slightly disappointed by this album.Eiht seems to have dropped his priceless style and switched to the cliché rap of many untalented artists. The beats are nearly all the same and we hear none of those amazing piano beats and R&B choruses Eiht used to have, as in We Come Strapped, Death Threatz,Last man standing,Section 8,N my neighborhood and Represent(CMW).It's worth buyin nonetheless.Fine tracks include HustleMan,Gangsta,2freakE and Drama.Despite the weaknesses in this album, i do recommend it.
