About the Artist
If music is the universal language, then the makers of music must speak the same language. Adelio Lombardi and Jonathan Tedeschi are fluent in many tongues. R&B/Hip-Hop just happens to be their favorite. Their Side 3 Productions has taken the Denver music scene by storm. Side 3 is widely regarded as the source for R&B/Hip-Hop production in the Mile High City.

Why the name Side 3? "There is always a different side to music that people look for, and we strive to provide that, I know it's cliche" says Lombardi. "Everyone claims to have his own unique style, but when you look at our backgrounds, as unique as they are you know we have to be unique."

The 25 year old Lombardi is a first generation Italian, in fact he didn't speak a word of English until the first grade. His early passion for music started in high school when he spent his weekends DJing local dances and parties. Shortly after graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Economics, Lombardi abandoned a stable job as a financial adviser to chase his dream. He wanted his own recording studio. After a lot of hard work, he got it. And then he met Jonathan

"Jon is a walking music library," says Lombardi. "I have never met anyone with so much raw talent. You give him a simple melody, and he will turn it into a work of art." Tedeschi, 27 who is also Italian but doesn't speak a lick of it, was reared by a family of musicians. Born on the east coast, raised in the mid west. Jon started on the piano in church when he was nine. His taste in music was influenced by a wide variety of styles from R&G, gospel, jazz, reggae, and rock.

"I took a weeks worth of lessons but I decided to learn on my own." Says Tedeschi. "I guess I've been learning on my own ever since. When was I was kid, I used to barricade myself in my room sequencing and programming sounds. Occasionally, I'd open my door and let my Mom bring me food. God blessed me with musical talent and a good ear. I'm thankful, but I still have more to learn."

It's a relentless work ethic that makes Adelio and Jonathan so good at what they do. It isn't uncommon to find them working on a product for several day's straight, without ever stepping a foot outside the studio.

"The bottom line is, we want it more," adds Tedeschi. "Every production, every recording, every project, we wont stop until were both happy with the final product."

And they wont be happy until they take the next step. Now that they have outgrown the Colorado market, Lombardi and Tedeschi are prepared to canvas the country.

"We're going to be household names," predicts Lombardi. "It's a matter time, but it was also a matter of time for artists like L.A. Reid and Babyface, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. They made it. So will we!"
