Joint ventures, who? Thats what I thought when I got it. But I loved it as soon as I heard the first song. Itz da joint is one of the best songs ever! Its not a serious album but one for people who enjoy a bit of fun in their hip-hop!

Melky Sedeck-Woaw, Stunning!.......2000-06-21

The funk Melky Sedeck exude is completely entoxicating. Melky is a trained Opera singer, and oohh can she sing,..-those smooth crafty, jazzy lyrics. The music is funky freash- unescapeable beats and phonomonal piano and keyboard playing by Sedeck, send you into another world, when your gliding along with his sisters misty vocals. The album is very much Hip Hop orientated which just makes it even better to groove to, but it includes a universal feeling, -influences ranging from classical, jazz, soul and rnb and folk tones in the songs. The flow is incredible. It's definately one of my favourite albums of all time, If your looking for something complety fresh and groundbreaking then this is the album for you.

What? This album is hot!.......2000-04-15

To give this album lest than a 4 star rate would be wrong. This album contains the "Bellyas" riddim along with "Da Joint" riddim. As you might know, a true dancehall fanatic like me loves this album. I am really feeling "Lexxus - Divine Reasoning" on "Da Joint" riddim. This song has the up and coming, hot dj Lexxus talking with God; where he goes back and forth in a comical but honest convo. I definitely recommend the album. I have it and so should you!

Not feelin' it.......2000-02-10

Got some hot DJs but not on par with DanceHall Kings I and III. I'd actually think this is a different series? 1/2 the tracks are on the Bellyas riddim, the other 1/2 are on some other riddim, forgot the name, but it's not popular.

But, if you're into the Bellyas riddim (half the CD) like I'm NOT, you'd love this CD.

If you want to take a funky ride back to the core of gritty funky soul, pick up this incredibly eclectic mix of tracks form Mr. Sonny Garr!! From the driving axe work by "J" on Why Do You Keep Runin', to the funky Bass heavy Ain't My Love Enough, this CD has something for everyone! Sonny has a bluesy, heartfelt delivery that comes straight from the heart, straight from the core of his soul. Sonnys a great storyteller & reminds me of Frankie Beverly in his vocal stylings. Can't Be Stopped is a perfect example of how he can get down like Frankie... Self Defense Stands out as a very hot track & one that any man who's ever gone through the pains of love, will quickly feel where he's coming from. Not to mention that the song will just make you want to get up & dance!! "J's" guitar solo is just too much!! Sonny really brings it on this track!! My personal favorites... What Goes Around, a bouncy nod ya head joint that you just can't sit still too... & finaly the Earth Wind & Fire flavored Like It Use To Be... A stepper frindly slow to mid-tempo Jam!! Sonny just breaks it down to the one he loves on this track... Pick it up & maybe you can break it down to the one you desire to share your "Mood Of Love" with...
