4 out of 5 stars 3rs solo is another pretty solid one.......2005-12-30

Just a year and a half since his last album 4-Tay is back with his 3rd major albel release. Of the 5 albums of his I own this is in the middle (close with "Off Parole" and Intro 2 Mackin", better then "Gangsta Gumbo" and not as good as "Don't Fight The Feelin"). Once again you get alot of songs and tight production. 17 songs, 1 is a classic, 3 or 4 are ok, 1 or 2 I skip, the rest are good. Guests are on 10 of the 17 songs (they do the hook on 3 and rap on 7). Production is tight as with almost all his albums. G-Man stan does 3 songs, Mike City, the great Ant Banks, Premier Music and C-Funk all do 2 songs. Les, Studio Ton, Rick James, Al Eaton, Kenny Franklin, Alonzo Jackson all do 1 song. Anice album for his fans or fans of funky Bay-Area rap to have.

#1 - 9 (dedication to 2Pac)
#2 - 8
#4 - 8 (f/ E-40 -- nice beat)
#5 - 8.5 (f/ J Mess & sauce -- nice beat)
#6 - 8.5 (good beat)
#7 - 8.5 (f/ Rick james {R.I.P.} -- nice beat)
#9 - 7
#10 - 6.5 (f/ Master P)
#11 - 5.5
#12 - 8 (f/ Franky J)
#13 - 8 (f/ Lil Fly -- nice upbeat production)
#14 - 10 (CLASSIC -- about putting down teh guns -- great beat)
#16 - 7.5 (f/ screwface)
#17 - 8.5 (f/ conscoius Daughters -- another upbeat song)
#18 - 8 (f/ san Quinn & Messy Marv -- nice beat)
#19 - 8 (f/ Carl CD Douglas -- tight beat)
#20 - 6

4 out of 5 stars Another tight 4-Tay release (4.5 stars).......2005-03-14

4-Tay comes back a year after "Off Parole," and does it again. He incorporates that fly g-funk sound you can ride to. He even adds the talk box to three of the tracks ("What's Wrong Wit The Game (w/E-40), "What Fo'" (even though it's faint), and "Shake It" (a great party jam)). There are a few filler tracks, but for the most part, it's tight. Some tracks are tight to lowride to!

3 out of 5 stars Thought I would.......2004-04-27

Just give this album a quick viewing over. I purchased this album because it was cheap and it had Banks production and once again The Big Bad Ass comes through with one of the funkiest tracks on the album with Where you playin at. A track that benefits from a funky little piano riff. The beat is typical of the Bankstas brand of flowing funk. Hes other track Back at cha may not be as funky but its a smooth bassline over a subdued beat but still a delight to my ears. 4-tays rapping on both tracks suit the flow to and I must admit I like 4-tays style. Shake it is the other stand out track. I cant give it anymore than 3 stars though because the album is filled to bream with filler being 20 tracks long but for me and the price I paid, the album was worth the Banks tracks alone.
