I wasn't expecting to have 4 discs for this price, and the music is a quality selection of film music, giving a good scope of the genre, and a very listenable transfer.

This collection is bound to capture your heart and evoke a tin ear on successive tracks. I found much to like and some duds - easy to skip over.

For the price, this CD is a great bargain. The musical selections, as you might expect, are mixed in quality ranging from extraordinary to so so, the balance being worthwhile and interesting. Sonically the CD is excellent.

I have been listening to great scores for many years and this collection is truly inspirational in so far as the choice of different scores takes you on a journey of listening pleasure matched by only a few collections.The price is incredibly reasonable for hours of listening pleasure. Painless and Pleasant.......2000-08-19

It's not that I hate opera, it's rather that I cannot handle and entire opera without nodding off. This 4 disc CD provides highlights from the most famous and recognizable arias, i.e., Pagliacci, Carmen, Rigoletto, Madame Butterfly, La Boheme, The Mikado, and H.M.S. Pinafore -- just to mention a few. I appreciate the ability to enjoy select arias from some of the most beautiful and and exceptional operas in the world, and played by first class orchestras, without having to sit through the entire opera.

I was given this CD a while back and wasn't quite sure what to expect since I've never spent much time listening to Blues before. First I was impressed by the power of the music and the power of his voice and the more I listened the more I felt the "Blues". Great lyrics, great singing and great music - what more could you ask for. Enjoy it! I certainly do.

A NEW CHAPTER FROM A WAR STORY, STREET PLATOON.......2005-10-28

Since I am a big fan of Psycho Realm anything in relation to them always gets my attention, and what do I think of Psycho Realms students Cynic and Crow the Street Platoon?
A great group with a fantastic album. Let's get this out of the way first, they are not as good as Psycho Realm, yet they manage to hold their own with the same lyrical content as the Gonsalez brothers, using a similar beat template they bring a nice raw feel to the album. All but one track (Pink, but more on this in a moment) are serious bangers showing once again why latinos are capable of holding their own in the hip hop game and it just makes me proud knowing that we at least have a handful of artists that can compete with the big dogs and no I don't mean crud like 50 Cent.

Pink, this one track here is utter Sh*t, why Street Platoon decided to include this among the other songs is beyond me, all it talks about is how to fu*k bit*hes on an equally weak beat and it just seems out of place with the rest of album.

Don't let that one song put you off, this is a fantastic album otherwise and deserves to be heard, check it out.

Also a guest performance by Sick Jacken of The Psycho Realm on 'Dead Lines'. You could compare this group a little with The Psycho Realm, although I think The Realm is better.
It is worth the purchase and I'm looking forward to the next album by Street Platoon!
