About the Artist
Most hip hop artists carry the stigma of repeatedly showcasing the typical vices of humanity. Life is real, no doubt, but very few artists connect with the listener on a real enough level that ANYONE can relate to. Enter Reconcile (aka BIG REC), the frontman of hip hop crew Mass Reality, and a pioneer of a new wave of forward-thinking hip hop music. REC offers an alternative to the materialistic, unsubstantial music that currently floods radio waves.

Born & raised in inner-city New Orleans, Louisiana to Guyanese (South American) parents, REC never smoked weed, banged the turf or sold drugs, but was always connected with peers that did. Blessed with a solid upbringing in the home, which served as the basis of moral stability in mixed company, REC always wanted to see his peers live better than they did. Recognizing that preaching at people was never effective, he continued building rapport, learning to understand people's real needs. The passion to unite and reconnect people's hearts & minds to purpose and truth was born, hence the name "Reconcile".

Product Description
"Chronicles: The Lineage, Life & Legacy" is the debut offering from Reconcile (aka BIG REC) of underground hip hop group Mass Reality. This project serves as an autobiography set to music, detailing several personal experiences--such as parental divorce ("Split Decision") and vivid times of hardship ("Process")--and other topics relevant to people's everyday lives.

The overall purpose of this freshman release is to be a positive influence within the hip hop community, providing a breath of fresh air for music lovers worldwide. In addition, REC wants to take the listeners on a journey through his life, hoping to inspire personal reflection about themselves. In essence, the goal is for listeners to examine their past (LINEAGE), present (LIFE) and future (LEGACY).
