    'Make The Face' was the soundtrack to my summer, brilliantly funky , dirty, and fabulous. Loved it. Was drawn in by single release 'I like it when ya', but as far as I'm concerned, there's not a weak track on here. Especially like '23:59:59' in mellower moments...

    Bears no comparison to Prince, if you're wondering. These guys are far superior, IMHO...

    This is the Loose Cannons debut album and it's HOT & yet achingly cool. They are top funksters , dirty disco barons who are currently making clubland grind to their heavy beats on the dance floor.
    The infamous London DJing duo Kaiser Saucy and Lord Fader invite us into their debauched world called Cannonia, in which each song is populated with snatches of conversation, phone chats, kids, laughter and quotes, like there's a party of people huddled round your ears.
    This album fell off the planet before it had a chance to be properly heard cos of the usual probs with big labels not being able to handle anything but inane boy bands. And this is a grown-up band. And it's got mixes from hip-hop legends The Jungle Brothers, DJ/producer Mark Ronson and Moto Blanco, Make The Face is an album to get excited about. It's dance, funk, it's psychedelic, it's urban. And all this behind dirty grinding bass lines allied with punchy drum machine beats.
    Each time I listen to it I 'get' something more.
    Superbly evocative lyrics , thick fat bass.sexy sexy sleaze. I love ''Got it All (wrong)'. and 'Out 4 the Nite' is me to a T.
    To me.......the whole album is soooooooo right.

        Album Description

        Loose Cannons is a rock and roll album with a keen edge and no excuses. It is powerful yet melodic, dark yet hopeful.

        "Cannons" is the follow-up to the underground success of Eldon Frost's limited edition self titled debut of 1997. Frost worked long hours, often to the point of exhaustion, to achieve the rough sound that Cannons required. "I didn't want this to be a radio-ready soft rock album," Frost explains. "I wanted something that was intelligent, yet could stand up to maximum volume as well."

        Loose Cannons features work with ex-Modernes Pickles (French-Canadian band) bassist Bert Szoghy, as well as sound courtesy of Hollywood film director Wolfgang Petersen (maker of "Air Force One") and veteran British actor and knight Sir John Gielgud.

        Gasoline Jesus is my favorite song here - the attitude in the lyrics and guitar. Definitely not pop music! Oh yeah, and don't try and dance to it. My suggestion, a big leather chair and a glass of whisky! (Or in the car, without whisky of course.) Good stuff.

        This new CD was certaily not mistaken for the Backstreet Boys or that guy that sings "doing the holy mocha". Great sound. Kind of a mix between Led Zepplin and Depeche Mode. This CD is being added to my car stereo CD stacker.

        a couple of standout tracks - "from russian with love" "daytrader" and "high wood." harmonies and rockin moments to get you going - whatever you want. A cool sort of ethereal vocal track on "she's no heroine." several stories - the joel hubris thing, the das boat track with audio from the movie. lovely.

        Look, This album brings back hip hop in it's purest form, I'm so glad that scram kept this underground, straight street from begining to end this is the hotest hip-hop i've heard in years, and the beats forget about it retarded and off the hook, I love this album and can listen to it forever it really gets you movin, , it makes you wanna scream it's so hot, it's perfect to drive with I mean this album will make you amped, everyone who hears this album says, I need to cop it, Scram thank you so much for not falling off and keepin this album street, It's really a breath of fresh air because this is the only hip-hop album I've listened to since 1999, and it brought me back to what i used to love about hip-hop, and well scrams beats are the main remedy i needed to get back to my roots. ONE

        From the first minute of the first song Scram shows off his DJing capabilities with one of the best mixes I've ever heard. He also produces a lot of the songs on here (quite well I may add) and even raps on 7 of the 26 trax. There is only one weak song on the cd and about 2 alright ones, the rest are tight. His ability to do all three (And do them well) is evident when Listening to the album. This is a must have cd and it features some of the east's hottest rappers and some unknown or up-and-coming rappers as well.

        Scram Jones is one of the defintite next big things in production ..Cats will soon recognize and realize..I suggest this cd to anybody who is big on DJ Mixtapes..And he spits fire on top of all that..
