Customer Reviews:
Professional Quality, excellent execution.......2005-05-26
"E2 to Bass" is an excellent piece of work by LordRoc, a rapper from Queens. I picked this up after hearing the fantastic "Too hot" on his official website at skygodent.com, after finding him out from the hiphop magazine, The Connex List. He, by all means, is a great artist. Most of his rhymes are first rate, but some of his material isn't original, and has been heard before, but he still has heart and dedication along with undeniable skill.
But LordRoc's mic power is only half of what makes this album great. The production is just as strong. Not to criticize other "underground" hiphop producers, but these tracks have amazing professional quality compared to other not-as-well known artists, not surprising from the likes of producers such as Capone and others. But just like the rhymes, they are great but not original which I mostly expect from new artists. But the two combine into a powerful execution that is probably one of my favorite albums in the past couple years for the overall dark mood the album sets on you. This one is definitely worth picking up, if you like hiphop, period.
