1 out of 5 stars prob worst keith release ever.......2007-03-27

no artist comes to mind that has such a range of terrible to great....and this is terrible. It wouldn't surprise me if keith n kurt put this together in like 2 days.

5 out of 5 stars The type of defecation thats good.......2005-08-19

If ever there's been an album so inspiring its this one, you should see the truck that i bought! And yes it spews diesel, much like this album where Kool is the proverbial truck and his rhythms is the diesels polluting us... but in the cool way ;) His song about buying someone a drink is a real eye opener and you can tell he kollaborated (hehe) a lot with Cutting Curt (thats his dj who's white... what????) But whatever, its obvious that whatever your race everyone can drive a diesel truck so thanks Keth for breaking down these social constraints- next time i'll buy you a drink!

5 out of 5 stars Some ill new stuff.......2005-07-27

Honestly the first time I heard this album, I was not to sure. Though now it is completely obvious to me that this one of the best albums in the Kool Keith collection. The production is tight !!!!!!! some crazy tracks - Serve em a sentence - I drop money - bamboozled - and Kenworths with wings, just to name a few.

Don't let anyone fool you this album is ill !!

3 out of 5 stars Lacking Innovation.......2005-05-03

This is a decent rap record, easily Keith's best since 1999's Dr.Doom. An honest effort is made by KK to keep an up tempo feel throughout the record. Where I think this record is really lacking is an innovative soundscape which is what Keith had been known for throughout his career. The tracks all sound like something you've heard before, and shows a conservative retreat away from the experimental records he's put out during the last 5 years or so.

While this innovative retreat is making for a more listenable record its has the feel of compromise with Keith mixing the vocals down and reintroducing record scratches (things Keith had said he was done with in the past) that gives the appearance Keith has given up creative juices to salvage some decent cuts.

I also think Keith's obsession with putting down OutKast is pretty lame. Maybe when Sex Style came out in 1997, with OutKast on its ATLiens record Keith was still ahead of the curve. Not anymore, OutKast has blown by KK with their new record. There is simply no comparision between the quality of OutKast and Keith's stuff and they probably were never copying KK anyway. Does Keith even listen to OutKast?

This is record worth purchasing only if your a Kool Keith fan. A better place to start getting into Keith is the Sex Style record or Dr.Octogon.

4 out of 5 stars Another strong effort from KK & KK.......2005-01-29

This CD is a nice collaborative effort with more than a few guest appearances and zero skits. The references to 70's sports, 80's funk, and old school hip hop make this very entertaining. Kool Keith is as nutty as ever. Highlights include Break U Off, I love You Nancy, the silly tracks I Drop Money, MANE, and Bamboozled, and the downright funky Kenworths with Wings. I was a bit disappointed by the track with Motion Man, Serve 'Em a Sentance. I was expecting some humor and banter, and it was a head-pounding beat with the most serious message on the album. At least they worked against my expectations. I can't wait to see what they crank-out next. They have been on a roll since Masters of Illusion. Put this on in your car and give alternative hip-hop a try.

I read about Deisel Doug and the The Long Haul Truckers in Entertainment Weekly. Stephen King was giving them their props in an article about a band that should and could have made it big. He was right. They are great! The lyrics are funny, thoughtful and just plain fun. Get this honky tonkin CD, you will not be sorry.
