Customer Reviews:
One of the best albums. Ever........2005-11-20
Wow!! Finally, this album has been added to Amazon. Hopefully, Krumbz will finally receive the recognition that he so rightfully deserves. Coming straight out of Asbury Park, Neptune, New Jersey, Krumbz is a microphone omnivore bent on dominating the rap game, blowing up, and "buying an island". Teamed up with producer Cue Labz, Krumbz lyrically devistates every single title, backed with quite possibly some of the sickest beats produced in the underground. Combining his rugged flow, and witty wordplay, his songs will leave the listener in awe. Here's a breakdown of each song.
All I can say is buy this album, it will leave you speechless. Support Krumbz and all his endeavors at his websites. [...] Enjoy the album and support real hip-hop!
1. Cue Labz Intro 5/5 - DJ Special K scratching over a dope cue labz instrumental with some Krumbz vocal samples.
2. Kontentz Under Pressure 5/5 - Title track of the album. Poking fun at his fans (ayo whatup this is krumbz/ and i just wanna thank all you dumb bast*rds for buyin my sh**/ yo im gonna go get a pack of cigarettes, a large bag of funions, and a deuce of heiny with ya money/) , Krumbz starts the album off with a bass-heavy piano beat. At over 5 minutes long, Krumbz divides the song into 2 verses. A nice chorus by some unknown chick named Janet, and some sick wordplay. (I'll murder any rapper who steps within my circle/
Killing the bloods and crips together and force the Earth to change to purple/
Using physics and fitness, I'll twist my image in instants/
Go from a gas, to a solid mass, than melt back into liquid/)
3. K.R.U.M.B.Z. 5/5 - Krumbz lets out more of his goofy side, laid with a damn sicc hydraulic beat by Cue. More of a club banger, capital K lays down some pretty funny lines. (I'm going insane, I'm slowly losing my mind/
By the time I get signed I might be blind and think I'm a mime/
I'm talking to trees, on the block walking pet rocks/
Running from dead cops in wet socks with my pops in a headlock/)
4. No Gimmickz 5/5 - Krumbz & Sess spit over a chillingly cold piano beat, pointing out fake rappers and other fake cats in the game. (There's too many emcees and not enough mics/
You're not hype, you're not nice, you're just not rockin' it right/
There's too many DJs and not enough wax/
You're not phat, you don't scratch, you're the definition of wack/
There's too many gangstaz and not enough gats/
You're not strapped, you don't clap, so please quit actin like you pack/
There's too many hustlaz, there's too many critics/
Imagine a world so vivid with no image and no gimmicks/)
5. The Only One 4/5 - The only song on the album which I felt was somewhat out of place. Krumbz talks about a bad relationship he had with some chick.
6. The Sickness 5/5 - Probably my favorite track on the album. Krumbz lays down a metaphorical massacre and with some insane punchlines. Also backed up by a sick piano beat. (Noone likes me cause I stalk b**ches and act violent/
so f***ing rugged my own reflection ducks when I walk by it/
I'm spitefull...I'll do s**t to you that you wouldn't believe/
Like chop down every tree on the earth just to make it harder for you to breathe/)
7. Jerzy Kidz 5/5 - A sick Jerzy Anthem. Laced with a dope Xylaphone (sp?) beat, Krumbz spits love for his hometown and the garden state, and his struggle in trying to blow up in Jerz. (It's out of control, it's like I went from poor to bold/
To rich and old, yet my flow never got to touch a soul/
I wanted to go gold, and that was my only goal/
But now I'm stuck in this lonely hole and God only knows/
It's not the money I want, nor the fame or the girls/
Theres more to this world than pretty woman, diamonds and pearls/
Im in a swirl of madness, flashing back from all the acid/
Its f***ed up that the average cats status is based on assets/
Put inside a bracket, labeled this and labeled that/
When I slept on city benches, where the f*** were the labels at?/)
8. One Life 5/5 - K talks about growing up, over a dope violin beat. Somewhat of an uplifting but depressing song, he talks about being kicked out of his house at 14 and having to struggle by himself. (Ive made mistakes... back than I acted so foolish/
Breaking into cars wit spark plugs and snatchin head units/
Ive been through it all... seen fiends lookin cracked up/
Cats gettin smacked, slapped, shot, sliced and stabbed up/
From food stamps to chapter eleven, Im reppin my state/
I use to stay with my cousin until she made it to Section 8/
Holdin my own... a young kid quick to scam a villain/
Makin my home out of empty lots and abandoned buildings/
You feelin my feelings?... Its hard trying to make ends meet/
I was born in the suburbs... but I was raised in the streets/
You only get one life, so make it count while you breathe/
You're having fun now...
but how much will it count when you leave?...)
9. Interlude NA - Cool trumpet instrumental by Cue.'
10. Ghost in a Shell 5/5 - Krumbz predicts his death in a car accident and talks about what it would be like if he died. Haunting beat provided by Cue does this song proper justice. (You're my enemy, I'll leave you frightened at all costs/
Walking down halls cloaked in a cloth knockin pictures off walls/
Rockin a baby's cradle, pushing glasses off tables/
Making horses jump out of stables, still Im labeled a childs fable/
You're just unable to fathom that you're dealing with a phantom/
Destined to wonder this earth forever lost and abandoned/
So cancel out that priest that you hired to come and kill me/
Don't try to fight me...
I might be a ghost but dont take me lightly/
Im serious, so write your poems and jot down your lyrics/
No matter what you do to stop it you can't block out a spirit/
You need to fear me, hear me? I got you froze in my spell/
This is going so well...
I like it...
it sure beats going to hell...)
11. 114 Barz 10/5 - My single most favorite track on the album. The beat on this cut is absoutely sick, with Krumbz ripping every line. (verbally classic, you cant touch this dope rhyma/
when my spit hits the ground it melts a hole half-way to china/
you wanted to battle me, now that was your first mistake/
i tie your right arm to your left leg and push you into a lake/
you fake a$$ thug, f*** you and f*** your people/
s**t im living proof that all emcees werent created equal/
i'll show you evil an' pull your sissy card/
then leave your city marred with sixty scars in less than fifty bars/
my spits explosive, i roast whoevers closest/
real ferocious, im so tight im claustrophobic/)
12. Motion Picturez 5/5 - Krumbz flips a neat concept - making a song using movie titles. backed by a sick violin beat, krumbz makes a dope track that would sound ridiculous coming out of anyone else's mouth.
13. Sour Milk 5/5 - The perfect h0e bashing track. Krumbz talks about an Ex who repeatedly screwed him over until he upped and left her. Some of the weirdest insults you'll hear on a track towards a chick. (I hope a plane lands on your face...)
14. B**chez 5/5 - A sick pimp song with a crunk beat. Wheelz lays down a sick track with Krumbz (wheelz sounds like what Shaft would sound like if he was genetically mixed with one of the Chipmunk brothers).
15. A Bee Ceez 10/5 - Another sick song. Although the concept has been done before, Krumbz actually stays true to the concept and does nothing but flip the alphabet, no if's and's the's or other filler words. Each bar represents a letter in the alphabet, and each of those words in that particular bar start only with that letter being flipped. Sick hype fight-type beat makes this one of the best songs on the album. ((Right)
Rejecting random rappers ridiculous repertoires/
Resurrecting rascals remarkably ripping record reports/
(Showoff)
Supersizing sandwiches savage sabotage/
Sucking straws, sipping Satan's sisters soupy salty sauce/
(True)
Twenty-two tentacles typing tight tremendous text/
Technically talking techniques tend to tackle tacky tests/
(Ugh)
Universally understated, unforgettably ultra/
Ultimate unsigned unique underground underrated ulcer/)
16. Don't Call Me 5/5 - N8than Speed guest spots on this track with Krumbz against racists and all the other people who clowned him and not being able to make it because he is white. (Reguardless if your Black or White, Ill still snatch your mic/
Snatch up your wife too if shes into ruff s3x with white dudez/
Put some cream in her coffee, now she just doesnt like you/)
17. Goodbye to Yesterday 5/5 - Another memoir track, where Krumbz talks about days passed growing up and going to school. Uplifting song with a really cool guitar beat. (Goodbye to yesterday, theres just way too much sorrow/
Although I'm livin for today, I cant wait for tomorrow/
Life keeps, moving to fast, its like Im losin my path/
Whatever happened to the good times that we use to have/
Smoking blunts, cuttin class, we couldnt stand doing math/
Kicking our raps... s**t, it was mad fun, we all use to laugh/
Til we're old and gray, we'll still be searching for a better way/
Cause time flies, so lets all say goodbye to yesterday/)
18. End of the World 5/5 - J Street, Sess, and Krumbz all spit their dark and humorous views on what what it would be like when the world ends. (waiting for christ, this is it, thugs scatter and run/
slugs splatter the slums, break buildings, shatter to krumbz/
its nuclear warfare and the whole globes frantic/
inhabitants panic as missiles poke holes in the planet/
sirens screamin' as tanks backtrack through cracked rubble/
civilians stumble while troops hustle through black puddles/
gats recoil, death contaminates the mighty soil/
temperatures rise, burning flesh and causing blood to boil/
bombs ignite, bringing god's wrath to an athiest/
leaving every city flat in a 6,000 mile radius/
its the end of the world, the last chapter, revelations/
so i blocked everything out and left the planet through meditation/)
