Best Record Cover Ever!!.......2006-12-19

Why wasn't this picture used for the cover of the full-length album rather than the single? How is she standing on grass with high heels? Did Jay-Z have a hand in the design and/or approval process? Is she parodying herself? Could she have done a better job of smiling with her eyes? Is the implied "Z" in her pose intentional? Is she being ironic? Does it matter?

Seriously. This cover is awesome for so many reasons. I'm guessing that most of these reasons are unintentional.

Where is the Full Length Freemasons Mix?.......2006-11-16

The remix that we want is the full length Freemasons Club mix. Why is it not included on this single. It appears on the "Irreplaceable" single, but only as a shortened edit. I don't know why artists and labels pay for remixers to remix their songs and then not release them. A lot of people hear a version of the song that they like, and buy the single only to discover that it is not included on the single. This is bad PR for the remixer, the label, and especially the artist. However, the artwork on this CD is amazing. The art director(s) really did a great job. She looks so strong, yet so vulnerable. I also loved the artwork on the B'Day CD.

this is the kind of song that you leave on the cutting room floor or just put it out as a B-side,but this should have never been used as a single. Beyonce trys to channel Kelis&it just doesn't work. Beyonce can sing,unlike Kelis,but Kelis has more style with her presentation,something that for all the channeling of different artists over the years that Beyonce hasn't discovered. this song is loud&hurts the ears.

Possibly 3.5 stars for their 2nd Group Effort.......2005-09-07

Boobonic & Mr. Man are back after virtually disappearing off the face of the Earth for almost 3 years, as I never heard of them or any songs with them since their debut in August 2001. Part of me says they should have stayed away, as this isn't close to their near classic debut. Only 10 songs for starters, 1 classic, 2 are good, 3 or 4 are ok and 3 or 4 I skip. Guests rap on 1 song and do hooks on 3. Production is average as well (not surprising as I never heard of any of the producers), with really only 1 real tight beat (and it's a sample of an older song). Dre & Vidal as well as C4 each do 3 songs, Kevin Briggs does 2 and Jay & Paul and Felony each do 1. For their fans pick it up but otherwise download the 3 good songs.

Why arnt they played on the radio? This is an unbelievable cd, as well as inspiring. This CD is better than most mainstream rap CD's, it is a shame that these guys are not getting promoted, because if someone big picked them up, aka Kanye, G-Unit, they would explode. And for the Neptunes, they are idiots for dropping them for the Clipse....talk about a waste of money.

Off Beyoncé's album titled, "B'Day" this song expresses attitude, confidence, and aggression to what is rightfully yours.

Ring The Alarm (Album Version) [3:25] is the typical song displaying attitude filled lyrics, soulful singing combined with some aggression, determination, and much uproar! The beats are fast, highly energetic, and strong in tones. The sirens, alarms, and bass blend nicely with Beyoncé's vocals intensifying the themes of how a lover can make the other go crazy from despair yet ready to take the person down.

Ring The Alarm (Instrumental Version) [3:25] is the same time length as the regular album version and also has the alarm at the beginning and the heavy bass, banging beats, and dramatic flairs yet there is no singing.

The reason I enjoyed this CD was for the message behind the song as well as the on your face attitude Beyoncé shows. For me, this song reflects about fighting for what you have worked so hard for and not letting go. Her vocals just intensify this mood thus making it a phenomenal production for those who can relate.

Beyonce is trying to be like Kelis in this song, but it's not working. "Ring the Alarm" is a complete mess. For real, if you're 25 years old you should be able to express your anger in a creative way that won't hurt people's ears! Beyonce isn't a good songwriter either. Skip this at all costs.

Aggressive Beyonce.......2006-10-17

For so many artists, they try a different edge on a song to flex their muscles. Unfortunately for Beyonce', she seems a bit angrier on her latest single, Ring the Alarm, the second single from her sophmore solo album B'Day. Although the song has a nice beat, it really isn't as appealing as her time with Destiny's Child. She tries to have a harder core on this song, as feeling she is trying to be like Mary J. Blige, Lil' Kim, and some other Hip Hop personas. I just hope that she tries to improve on her next single. She has a long way to go, don't ring the alarm on this song.

This CD is horrible. No wonder no one has ever heard of this man. I mean c'mon, how is he supposed to compare with artists such as Nas, Biggie, 2Pac, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Common, and Mos Def? Really - this CD would make girls put their clothes back on.

A'ight ya'll......you may call me crazy and all, but it's all good. I was so happy with what the other post said. This is my boy, my family, my big brother..... I've been down with him from rock bottom... and to hear someone say something like that makes me so happy... yes he is not so known right now, but he is getting a bigger audience day by day. My fav. song is Lady cause my baby is one there. If you have the cd his verse starts with... Listen my mind is made..." well that is Blade... This is a very tight album, the best actually. If anyone ever has a chance to see him perform, please do so, you won't regret it at all. He brings a performance so hype that afterwards he is sweating like it's raining. Keep representing cause he will be on top right before your eyes... the alarm is about to go off... oh yeah he did a video for silly over spring break down in the rio grande valley, in other words south texas... it will be out soon, even though the album came out in aug 0f 01. the song silly is going to be on his upcoming album that he is working on right now and as it was said in the national security soundtrack. he is promoting it again because it came out in the ns soundtrack... but it's all good, it will never get old ... WARDEN RULES!

The warden is seriously unheard of right now. I want to hear them on the radio! I love their music and think they are cool because they incorporate Spanish and Jamaican themes into the rap/hip hop genre. They are definitely on hit with this cd (even if it was released some time ago). If you haven't heard about it yet, GET THIS CD NOW! It has become a hit in Texas! Also, the song "Silly" is on the National Security soundtrack. When Martin Lawrence locks his keys in the car, they play "Silly" and it really rocks the house ! Also, you can find out more about him at ...and on his website at ... (definitely worth checking out!) IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS CD, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GRAB A COPY.

Unforgettable performances of Handel and Mozart........2001-10-21

I first heard recordings by the Danish tenor Aksel Schiotz in the 1970s, not long after he died. The particular recordings were "Comfort Ye" and "Ev'ry Valley Shall Be Exalted" from "The Messiah." Since then, every other tenor singing those pieces has sounded terminally asthmatic to me. None has had Schiotz's bell-like high notes or remarkable fluency and breath control. This CD has those "Messiah" cuts, as well as beautiful performances of Mozart, Bach, and Dowland. Schiotz, who lived from 1906 to 1975, did not have a particularly powerful or colorful voice, but he more than made up for that with the purity and warmth of his tone. Unfortunately, Schiotz had a blighted life. Just as he was set to begin his international career, the Nazis invaded his native land. He became a hero of the Danish Resistance, but in 1946, while singing in London to great acclaim, he suffered a tumor of the acoustic nerve. He nearly died, and was robbed of the ability to either speak or sing. A horrendous two-year struggle finally brought him back to the concert hall--this time as a baritone--but his voice had lost its unique beauty. It is the recordings from 1938-46 that will remain his legacy, and the recordings on this CD are his finest.
