Named after the thriving rap subgenre he popularized, Lil' Jon's Crunk Juice makes no claims to be anything but XXX-rated, hip-hop mosh pit music. Three 6 Mafia's crunked-out compositions may predate Lil' Jon's, but Jon's unique production methods continue to dazzle on cuts like "What U Gon' Do," where protégé Lil Scrappy's vocals create jarring audio effects. The trademark futuristic blend of Miami bass, Jamaican dub, electronica, and punk--littered with call-and-response chants--is in full force on "Crunk Juice," "Get Crunk," and "Da Blow." More impressively, he's broadened his crunk palette to include a brilliant rocked-out Rick Rubin collaboration, along with more conventional R&B tunes featuring Usher and R. Kelly--he even looks to D.C.-style go-go beats for inspiration on "Aww Skeet Skeet." The vulgar yet hilarious Chris Rock comedy cameos help make this album a winner, even if it's intentionally zany and lyrically vacuous. --Dalton Higgins

It is what it is! Club music!.......2007-06-02
Does anyone sell singles anymore? This is not a play all the way through type of CD. But neither are many of the "Greats" as the most harshest critics of this bunch have listed! I do think a 'Hits' CD would be better in their case, because it is sad to have to buy a whole CD to listen to a few good songs. It's even sadder though to see people who know they don't have any interest in a group or music genre, write a review out of sheer need to criticize and bash other people's musical choice. Go somewhere and voice an opinion where it matters on something more rediculous than music that you DON'T have to listen to, such as kids passing every class but can't graduate because of TAKS tests, or pitiful health care, or the war or something!
What the hell is this?.......2007-05-31
How on Earth did this ever get accepted as music? Just a bunch of idiots incoherently screaming over some stupid beat. I can't bear to image how bad the next music fad will be.
A Perspective Of An Expert Butcherer.......2007-03-17
Lil Jon is one of the many reasons why rap is given a negative image. Let me give you a list and explain why I loathe this talentless, shameful act and his disgrace towards society:
1. Voice - Just how can that guy's senseless yelling be tolerated? All this guy does is yell. He doesn't even rap. It's just thoughtless, obnoxious "YAY-YAH" over and over (along with some other stuff). I bet his music couldn't even be considered rap if it weren't for all those guest musicians.
2. Plagiarism - The name "Lil Jon" originated from the Robin Hood tale. It may have a slightly different spelling, but it's just bad enough that he could disgrace history like that. He also uses samples from copyrighted songs and completely butchers the purpose and meaning of that song. I mean, is mixing Slayer's "Raining Blood" intro and Lil Jon's abysmal bellowing necessary? Not at all.
3. "Crunk" - This is also meant to be a plagiarism issue as well, as Dirty South rappers were the first one to coin that phrase. However, Lil Jon wants to take all the credit by taking the word and overusing it over and over so that he seems to be the inventor of that word. Sorry, Jon Smith, but you do not possess credit for creating that word. You just made it into a derivative word that people say, yet they probably have no clue what it means (it means to get drunk and baked).
4. Image - Golden grills make you look like some person who cares less about his dental hygeine. Do you ever remove your sunglasses? And your crunk juice is just a marketing scam.
By all means, avoid this annoying, meaningless, plagiarized trash. Rap isn't (mostly wasn't) just like that way, but thanks to your plague, you have given a once tolerable music genre a bad name.
Punk Juice.......2007-03-05
I only liked two songs of this album Real N***a Roll Call(because of Ice Cube) and Grand Finale(T.I., Bun B, Jadakiss' verses were hot but Ice Cube steals the show). Lovers and Friends might have been a great song for the ladies until Lil Jon decided it was a good idea to rap and ruined the old Michael Sterling classic. More Disposables: Da Blow(chopped and screwed up garbage), One Night Stand, Stick That Thing Out(the second worst track on here), Stop F*****g Wit Me(the worst track one here and Lil Jon gets to annoy metalheads with his bad rapping on this rock/rap infusion. Big Plus!), Awww Skeet(What the.....?) and the rest of this album. Bottom Line: Lil Jon is the worst thing to come out of ATL since..........Jermaine Dupri! Dude couldnt flow to save his pathetic life and the guest appearances are just as bad plus his beats are too redundant now. Besides those two songs that I liked this album should be avoided like a Jehovah's Witness passing out watchtowers.
Y's everyone hatin.......2006-12-06
its a great cds to get you pumped up and blast out the car or work out to, anyone buying it expecting great lyrical talent is retarded

Album Description
From the hard crunk, club bangin' of Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz's "What U Gon' Do" feat. Lil Scrappy to the #1 r&b hit, "Lovers And Friends" feat. Usher and Ludacris, to "In Da Club" feat. R Kelly & Ludacris (one mo' time), Lil Jon & his crew brought their Hot 'Lanta sound to all of America & the whole wide world in 2004-2005. "Crunk Juice" was an instant classic, selling 2 1/2 million copies in the U.S. alone. And now it's time for some new flava yet again. Remixmaster Michael "5000" Watts has chopped & screwed "Crunk Juice" for The Swisha House! Are you ready for a taste?
Customer Reviews:
review from Synthesis.......2005-09-28
This is about to be the most incredible experience you have ever felt in your f*@$ing life!" yells Lil Jon on the Crunk Juice intro. The statement really rings true on the Chopped and Screwed version of the album. TVT released it alongside a similarly remixed Ying Yang Twins' United States of Atlanta, offering wholly different sounds from their predecessors.
Houston's DJ Screw (R.I.P.) founded the style of slowing down records (screwing), and took liberties with them on mix tapes (chopping). Remember when a walkman died and the music slowed down? Or when a discman skipped? Such Frankensteinian changes abound on these albums. Michael "5000" Watts of Swishahouse Records is credited with mainstreaming the sound; he mixes the two discs. The metamorphosis is profound, in ways good and bad. Still attention-getting when played at high volume, the sound is less musical but more...intriguing? It's hard to get crunk with Lil Jon sounding like he's on Promethazine; slowed down, E-40 sounds like just another E-40 imitator; and 8-Ball really does sound "high as a giraffe." The Twins sound more like monsters than rappers; their women offering sexual advice sound like transvestites and Busta Rhymes isn't recognizable.
On the other hand, the repetitious cutting of the records reinforces favorite lines, like Usher's heartfelt moans on Lil Jon's "Lovers and Friends" and Ying Yang's straightforward misogyny on "I Hate Hoes." Incredible audio experiences, but certainly not for everyone.

Customer Reviews:
One of the better "Crunk" albums I've heard.......2006-03-13
Many believe that because crunk is associated with rap, it has to fit the strerotype. Lil' Jon and his Eastside Boyz are a prime example of crunk music, not too much of the smooth rhyming, a lot of swearing, many one word exclamations (YEAH!), and deep beats. Also, a genre that always needs feat. artists to keep the songs going, otherwise its too slow and repetitive.
For this album:
2. 5/5
3. 3/5, I don't like Lil' Scrappy
4. 4/5, the part feat. Ice Cube is the best part of the song
6. 3/5
7. 4/5, nice beats
9. 5/5, a very "crunk" song
10. 2/5, just a dumb song and w/o feat. artists
12. 1/5, worst song on the album
13. 2/5
14. 2/5, bad beginning
16. 2/5
17. 3/5, nice guest appearence of Snoop Dogg
19. 3/5, I like the Ying Yang Twins, but this song isn't them
20. 5/5, truly the "grand finale" of the album with "5 of the greatest MC's in the world"
also, the album has some funny skits with Chris Rock
this album sucks.......2005-08-08
IT has to many curse words and to much screamin dont buy the edited verzoin buy the unedited
as a clean album its not worth it.......2004-11-18
do you have any idea how many curse words are in this album. the only song i liked on the album really was "What U gon do" everything else is just noise. i thing lil jon should form a band instead of rapping because of his screaming. in that one song "Dont F*ck with me" his voice truly goes well with that song.id give this album a perfect 5 as a club album and i would have given this album a 3.5 out of 5 because lil jon is all talk. he aint a gangsta or whatever he says on the album isnt true like he says hes gonna f*ck you up but he doesnt mean it. and this album is very unbalanced. first you have lil jons rock and roll death metal song on one track titled "dont F wit me" and then after all that cussing and screaming the next track is lovers and friends with usher and thats an R&B peaceful song. and its funny hearing lil jons voice turn soft. i cant believe he made a love song. at least when mobb deep came with there first 2 albums they didnt make no stupid r&b song about love until Infamy came out. anyway if you listen to the whole album. its too mixed up its got crunk in it then its got r&b towards the end. i thought the whole album was supposed to be crunk. o and by the way, if ppl these days like crunk music then why doesnt ONYX get any props for their music??? i dont understand that at all. o and if you buy this clean album, then you are wasting your money on basically a blank album cuz [...]

Customer Reviews:
Best party CD ever!!!!.......1999-08-25
Booty Mix 4 is the perfect blend of your favorite party songs from the past and present. The Sixty-Nine Boyz shine on last years "Woof-Woof", while Debbi Deb takes you back to the eighties with the dance classic "When I Hear Music". While other great oldies include Pretty Tony's "Fix It in the Mix", which will surely get your party hoppin', this compilation is mainly comprised of hits from the last two years including Lathun's "Freak It", Lil John's "Shawty Freak A Lil' Sumpin'",Raheem the Dream's "The Most Beautiful Girl" and DJ Taz's "That's Right". With all these classics, this has to be best party CD ever. But wait there's more. Added bonuses include new songs from Sir Mix-A-Lot ("Batter Up") and The Rockwilders ("Freaky Thang"). "Freaky Thang" was the one that put it over the top for me. When a group you never heard of delivers the best song on a CD comprised of hits like these you know you've won. So don't miss your chance to get a really great party album. You'll hate yourself in the morning.

Greast for car and listening in your home system........1999-02-11
DJ Smurf never fails in brining it with all he's got. This is one of the best down south albums out by far. Every song on the album is well worth listening to...
very good.......1999-01-24
this a very good tape, not as good as his first, Versastyles, though. the best songs are, Stop Trippin, and Girls(sophisticated mix). its not a typical boring bass tape, it has good beats and lyrics as well.
A album not to be slept on!!.......1998-12-30
I'm not a big fan of bass music, but when I heard this album I couldn't stop myself from wanting to hear more. The production is tight. Smurf laid down some hella tracks. His ability to change up is rapping style should also be noted. The only thing that I would ask for on this album or the next one is less guest appearances by other artists and more of Smurf wrecking the dance floor on the solo tip....

I have one question: Why are these guys even alive? This is literally the worst album I have heard in my entire life. That's right, Vanilla Ice's To The Extreme is better than this. There are no good songs on this album because southern rap is the most ignorant sh** Blacks have ever been a part of. I hate the fact that they are trying to incorporate their retarded slang into Hip Hop. Don't tell me you think something is "crunk"! You don't sound cool, you sound like an illiterate, easily led, retarded robot that watches too much MTV! "Fu** ni**a" is supposed to be the southern version of "herb". All southern rappers are herbs so therefore they are all also fu** ni**as. I also have another question. Why are the Eastside Boyz named Big Sam and Lil' Bo? How are you allowed to do this and not get completely ostracized by the Black community? I'm supposed to be down with that just because it makes me want to dance? Fu** that. A lot of people say that maybe they chose that name as a politically satirical joke. Yeah, they look like really deep dudes who ponder social problems. I was being sarcastic and if you didn't know that please kill yourself right now. Second of all, even if they were being satirical they would have probably known that the majority of their fans wouldn't get the joke.
Is this an album or a compilation?.......2005-06-29
Before you think about picking up this album, ask yourself this: can you really stand an entire album of Lil Jon? If you're from the South or you love anything FROM the South, then your answer will probably be yes. Everyone else will probably agree that Lil Jon's WHATs, YEEEAHs and OKAAAYs are only good in small doses.
Whatever the case, Crunk Juice isn't a terrible album. But the reason I titled my review the way I did is because there are guest stars on damn near every track, and in most cases Lil Jon has the shortest verse. The only guest-free track is the Rick Rubin-produced "Don't F With Me" (and to the reviewers that were mad that it uses the music from Slayer's "Raining Blood", it's a sample; get over it). But I'm really not feeling the repeat-after-me vibe of that song. By the way, the track listing says the song is called "Don't F With Me", but the liner notes (not to mention the song) say "Stop F'n Wit Me". Which is it?
There ARE some good songs on here though, like "Get Crunk", "What U Gon' Do" and especially the last two tracks, "Stick That Thang Out (Skeezer)" and "Grand Finale". Ice Cube appears on the latter, and although he gave a nice performance earlier on the album in "Real N Phone Call", here it's not the same. I mean, his verse starts out fine, but as I listened on I started to wonder what the hell he was talking about. But that's not too bad because Jon, Nas, T.I. and Bun-B handle the rest of the song pretty well.
Since Jon and Ludacris helped Usher storm the charts with "Yeah" last year, it looks like Usher and Luda return the favor with the smooth "Lovers and Friends". The song itself isn't bad (well, actually, Luda's verse is kinda generic); the problem is that it just doesn't fit on an album full of loud crunk songs. To be honest, it sounds like it belongs on Usher's album. The same can be said about the song that follows, "One Night Stand".
As much as I love Chris Rock, I'm inclined to agree with the other reviewers that said that his skits were pointless. And the "Bo Hagon's Phone Call" skit is pointless too, although the ending was a little funny. Speaking of pointless, that can also be said about the obligatory screwed song, "Da Blow" (why would you purposely have Gangsta Boo on your album?). And "Aww Skeet Skeet" was a little too weird for me. But worse than that is when R. Kelly shows up for "In Da Club", which sounds like a watered-down version of "Get Low". And Kells is rapping again, too (*sigh*).
There is also a bonus remix CD, but at that point I felt I'd had enough because the regular album is already 75+ minutes long. There are two new versions of each "What U Gon' Do" and "Real N Roll Call" (now shortened to just "Roll Call"). The first two mixes are decent, but as far as the Bad Brains remix of "Roll Call"; note to Lil Jon: rock remixes don't work for everyone. And both Chris Rock and Bo Hagon's respective skits are unnecessary.
Anyone that liked Lil Jon's previous offerings should have no problem with this album, but the rest of the world might want to think a bit before having a taste of this crunk juice.
Anthony Rupert
P.S. What exactly do the East Side Boyz (Lil' Bo and Big Sam) do? They don't rap OR produce.
Lil Jon is definitely the king of crunk .......2005-05-08
Lil Jon is not a rapper, he is a crunk singer like he and the ESB have always said. If you like I have all his cds you will notice that in 10 years he has not changed he has just improved and improved each album better than the previous. Crunk Juice is definitely the best and biggest album he has ever worked on and also gives you a DVD showing you some videos of his performances and a cd full of remixes. He and the ESB have been slowly gaining more and more fame (if you compare each album with the previous you will notice more high-profile artists getting involved. This music is the best when you are alone and with a bunch of huge speakers he definitely doesnt give a f$$k about cursing and his voice is really low-pitched. Below I will rate all the songs in the album (even though nothing beats get low)
Crunk Juice:
1.Crunk Juice: Exellent intro with loud beats and introductory cursing 10/10.
2.Get Crunk: Full of energy, similar beats to crunk juice and a little calmer in the Bo Hagon verse. Exellent Song. 9/10
3.What you gonna do: Powerfull bass and verses full of energy (and cursing) the best are the Lil Scrappy and final verse. Very good song. 9/10
4.Real n%$$a roll call: (I prefer the video)
OK verses and choruses and exellent intro and outro. 8/10
5.Bo Hagon's Phone call: Amazingly stupid and funny (The first time you hear it.) 10/10
6.Da Blow: Exellent bass (but really strange verses and choruses) 4/10
7.Contract: Weird bass but very good verses and cool choruses. 8/10
8.E40 choppin: Extremely funny coments by E40 (the first time you hear it) cool version of the word "B!@$(h!". 7/10
9.White Meat: Ok verses and good choruses. 8/10
10. Don't f·$k wit me: Very energetic and exellent guitar and details by Rick Rubin's exellent production, extremely agressive and realistic (in the U.S.A) good song. 9/10
11. Chris rock let's be friends: Chris Rock shows how selfish he is. 6/10
12.Lovers and friends: Something I never expected of Lil Jon this song is one of my favorites and has a romantic bass, slow rap by Ludacris and exellent singing by Usher. 10/10

16. In da club: One of the best songs, good choruses and exellent verses by Lil Jon and Ludacris. 10/10

Good album .......2006-04-21
Most of it was okay. But the two stand out tracks are P***y N***A f/ Hitman Sammy Sam, 504 Boyz, and Da Jump Off f/Killer Mike, 404 Soldierz. The biggest suprise is that hitman sammy sam uses P***y N***a to diss Pastor Troy. The vere goes like I'm a georgia boy f**k Pastor Troy. Good crunk album worth checking it out.
looks kinda dumb.......2005-10-18

Not New Material.......2003-11-05
Okay, this cd just came out right? Well then, why is the first track old? Why does Ludacris have a light voice? Is it because this is just junk they're trying to put out because they figure they're on a roll? Uh, yeah. If you got this, you know what I mean, and if you haven't don't pick it up. It doesn't sound anything like the real crunkness. Whoever certified this crunk must think 50 cent is god because I would sell this cd to anyone who wanted it for 50 cents. Garbage. Even the cover is dull. The eastside boys aren't even fat and lil jon doesn't have his expensive glasses or that annoying wine cup. Do yourself a favor and let this album flop. Lil Jon could use a reality check, especially after that sick youngbloodz cut.
