It seems oddly appropriate that, some 10 years after the Wu-Tang Clan first put the world on notice, Masta Killa would finally get to put out his solo album--he's the last of the original Clan members to deliver one. Even more remarkable is that, at a time when the Wu mostly seem like material for a future "I Love the '90s" installment (Ghostface excepted), Masta Killa puts together an impressive album in the best tradition of the Clan: dusty, dissonant soul loops, lyrics that are all about style rather than shine, and that classic sinister quality embodied by the Wu's best albums. Had this album come out in 1998, people might have hailed it as another Wu classic, especially with the brilliantly biting "School" and the unexpected sentiment of "Love Spell." Add in cameos from all the family--Ghost, Inspectah Deck, the GZA, etc.--and No Said Date suddenly takes you back to the heady days of, oh, 1996. Way old school. --Oliver Wang

4 out of 5 stars Better than 85% of the albums out there........2007-01-01

Just got this album as a present and have been enjoying it. It's a little up and down but overall the lyrics are good, the beats are good and the spirit is good. This is a nice step toward the Wu-Tang's resurection.

4 out of 5 stars I bought this album Good Album.......2006-09-12

i watched the video on the second CD. The video was OK. I wish I had tickets to a wu-tang show. You have to listen to this album it's good. I bought this album from FYE, brought it to the cash register person and the register person looked at me funny. I guess he gave me a look because I'm asian or asians don't listen to wu-tang something like that. I'll never know why he looked at me funny. Forget him. Good work from Masta Killa.

5 out of 5 stars A Pleasant Suprise.......2006-09-06

The Best Wu Album Since Supreme Clientele. MK came out of nowhere with this album. This album has the old Wu Tang feel to it and I love the skits at the beginning of the songs, just like that old kung fu that the wu used to have on their albums. The standouts for me were Old Man with that Fred Sanford beat, Grab The Mic, No Said Date, DTD, and Secret Rivals. Oh I forgot School with the changeup beat. Go get this album if you like the Wu in their glory days.

2 out of 5 stars whats up with the reviews?.......2006-08-21

I have seen other reviews and have noticed that a lot of you people seem to be retarded. This album was not as good as I thought it would be, I saw myself skipping a lot of the songs. Its a shame that it took him this long to come out with an album and it bombed this bad. If your not sure about getting this album do yourself a favor and get another wu-member cd, other than U-God of course, haha. Do not knock down my review, I've listened to every album the wu had to offer and I was pissed when I was towards the end of this album and nothing really stood.

2 out of 5 stars Its good..........2006-08-11

It is a decent release however what took so long? The Best REVIEWS for this LP is by Patrick G Varine, Black Rage, & Reginald from Queens, they sum it up perfectly. Consult those before purchasing. For all the haters...WHat UP Check the reviews, I know my MUSIC!!!
