5 out of 5 stars classic debut.......2005-07-15

This was filled with quality for 91 sound. The production and the flows. Its just got so many good tracks too. I love this CD. Spice was my favourite rapper for a while. It was essential westcoast albums like this that made me like him. Make sure you got this. Peace!

5 out of 5 stars 187 Proof Gangster Rap From a Real Gansgter..........2005-03-04

No doubt many of you have slept on Spice 1. But you must know, Spice 1 is the real deal. You will have a hard time finding a fresher, more hardcore brotha kick real gangsta rhymes. He will crack you in the head with a bottle of St. Ides just for maddoggin' him. Spice 1 is straight West Coast, and comes correct with vivid street tales, social commentary, menace, and wit, accompanied by gangstered out G-funk bass moves. His flow is versatile and tight. He is not a man of just one style. Spice 1 can flip it quick, slow, Jamacian, etc. In addition, 1 was down with Tupac and Too-Short, so there's no doubt. And when he tells you that he's gonna 'kill your baby, your dog, and your Mutha F'in family', you know he means it. Spice 1 is also quite the metaphorical master on tracks like '187 Proof'. If you don't know, you owe it to yourself to find out. Check this West COast Mack now!

5 out of 5 stars Top 5 rap CD of the early 90's.......2002-11-26

I remember when I first bought the tape back during the summer of 92. I was told by a co-worker that it was the bomb so I had to go out and get it. I fell in love with it after hearing it the 1st time. If you are looking for real hardcore gangsta rap and not the watered down "club" version of today then this is a must. Not only are there dope ryhmes but this CD has some tight BASS. I have to turn down the Bass level on my CD player on the track 1-900 SPICE because the bass is so heavy. My favorites are EastBaygangsta, 187proof, Peace to my nine, Welcome to the Ghetto and F'' in the game. I still like listening to this CD today even though it is 10years old. This is probably Spice's best CD of all time, it is a classic.

5 out of 5 stars That's where it all started.......1999-04-04

That's Spice 1's first album. Spice 1, one of the greatest rappers ever to hit the West Coast rap scene presnets gangsta rap on a whole new level with cold stories about murderin' and killin' without any second thoughts. Spice has never given a f*** about radio airplay, he's just doin' his own thing, keepin' the gangsta flava popin'. This is his first album. Get this one and all his other albums too and you get tight prodiction, lyrics and delivery and tens of brilliant songs by this so talented artist commin' from the Dirty Bay.

5 out of 5 stars Classic.......2005-07-15

This album was haaard. The production is classic. Every song from the start to finish has tight rhymes. Spices flow was much more advanced from his first album which is a classic too. I can't sat how much I like this CD. I like what ant banks did with the 'george duke' sample on 'clip & tha trigga' too, since I used to like the original. This is essential if you want good westcoast rap. Also checkout South central cartels 'N' gatz we truss' if you like this. Peace!

This album was Spice's second major label release and it is a good one. Not his best work, but then it's hard if (according to me) all of his albums are worthy of 4 stars (at the least) and most are 5 star classics. Production is good and handled by Ant Banks, EA Ski, Prodeje of South Central Cartel, Too $hort, DJ Xtra LArge, and Johnny Z. Guests are few (on 3 of the 14 songs). It has 1 classic, 2 near classics, 9 good songs, and 1 that's ok and 1 that I skip. This was recorded when he was only about 22, but he holds it down for the East Bay. An album that you have to Check it out.

5 out of 5 stars Can't F With The East Bay G (Rating: 10 out of 10- -5.0 stars).......2007-05-06

Spice 1 is one of the new artists that I've gotten into over the past year. I first heard him on Too Short's "The Dangerous Crew" from the classic "Get In Where You Fit In" album, and on MC Eiht's "Nothin' But The Gangsta" from his "We Come Strapped" album. Both albums are dope and I suggest you pick them up. As for Spice 1's "AmeriKKKa's Nightmare", I feel that it is a slept on Bay Area classic. I really didn't know about Spice's disceography that well, but I bought this album because I was on amazon and saw that a lot of reviewers said this was his best album. Also I saw this (as well as all of his albums) being sold for around 9 bucks about a couple of months ago, and didn't want to pass up the offer.

Most of these tracks, Spiggity Spice rhymes about the street life and about guns as well as shooting up people. "Face Of A Desprite Man" surrounds those types of subject matters while Spice rhymes over a sick Ant Banks beat. "Strap On The Side" is another dope song over a Blackjack beat as he lays down the remerable line "Can't **** with the East Bay G". Another great song is "Jealous Got Me Strapped" where Spice as well as 2Pac drop classic verses. "Three Strikes" is a good track that I was feeling. And to close out the album, Spice lays down a funny diss to Pooh Man on the song "You Done F'ed Up" (the end of the song is hilarious).

Guest appearances are excellent as well. Aside from the 2Pac appearane, Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man drops an excellent verse on "Hard To Kill". The opening track "D-Boyz Got Love For Me" features E-40. And on dope song, "Give A G A Gat", Spice passes the mic to his crew The 187 Fac.

This album isn't flawless, but I don't believe that they are worth pointing out. Spice 1 dropped a Bay Area classic back in 1994 with this album. I agree with a lot of reviewers when they say he doesn't get any airplay outside of the Bay Area. Jive Records really should have pushed and had more promotion for him because I doubt people in the south heard of him either. I'm not sure how consistant he is with his album since I only have two of them, (this and "The Black Bossalini"...also a dope album). Fans of early 2Pac will enjoy this album a lot, but I recommend that any rap fan give this a listen. Peace!

In response to one reviewer, Redman does not appear on this album.

In response to yet another reviewer, this album did not receive 5 mics from The Source Magazine.

Thank you for looking into buying "SPICE 1, AMERIKKKAZ NIGHTMARE"

I first heard about spice 1 after listening to MC EIHT's album WE COME STRAPPED and MENACE II SOCIETY where spice ones backing beat is the opening song of the film when the camera's looking over WATTS as a bird-eye-veiw and also he does another song in the film, ( both song's are not on this album and can be found on 187 HE WROTE ) straight away liked his style of lyrics and the way they are put togher the only problem was that due to the album been MC EIHT i had not heard what spice 1 was like on his own and his style of music. i took a gamble and desided to buy this album and am glad to say that i was very impressed by this artist and futher more have got 3more albums of spice 1 since.

Spice 1 has been on the scene for some time now and still not many people have heard of this artist which came to some shock to me because he is classed as a true pioneer in the hiphop industry

He first came out in 1988 with his album LET IT BE KNOWN which ended up coming out on released in 1991 which is now out of print but can still be found on amazon but for a price of around $60 which is a lot of money to spend on a album and unfortunatly i have not heard the album yet so cant tell you if it is worth the money but i do have the album shipping to me any day now so please keep an eye out for me review ( luckly i got it cheaper then $60 )

Spice 1 then came out with what was considered his first big hitting album and was notice world wide with the album named SPICE 1 which i do own i can say it is a fairly good album but i would say AMERIKKKAZ NIGHTMARE is much more G-FUNK with better beats and lyrics

Spice 1 then brought out 187 HE WROTE which also is in my collection and i am thinking of doing a review on soon

AMERIKKKAZ NIGHTMARE came out in 1994.

Spice 1 is one of the many rappers too come from AMERICA, OAKLAND, along with tupac, too short, richi rich, and m.c. hammer. it was too short who first discovered spice 1 and intruduced his lyricial talent on the hiphop world

i would say this album was such a huge hit due to oakland becoming well known in the hiphop world around this time and showing us it wasn't just compton that could lay down hardcore beats with MC Hameer doing it in the late 80's to the early 90's then pac ripping it up from there onwards.

This album is a must have in any collection with great lyrics and songs, spice 1 has a diffrent way of telling the stories and topics in his lyrics where listening to tupac was like reading a book spice 1 throws his lyrics together to create catchy lyrics rather then graphic lyrics.
the 2nd soung on the album THE FACE OF A DESPERATE MAN on the other hand does seem to go in to detail about a few topics involving house partys where a man gets shoot,

lyrics eg: " nobody would stop for the sequal because the ni**a that busting was spreading bullets around equal "
" another dead body hits the floor, ambulance men put him in the door, at this touchy scene his ni**a is there standing in the rain, he looks at his homeboys face and his homie screams his name, now he's looking for the man with the gat in hand, the face of a desperiate man"

as you can probably see what i mean about the way the lyrics are put together, all the lyrics are put over a slow funky yet sad beat with the piano playing a catchy little melodey over the drums and bass line

this album also features a full song just spice 1 and 2pac which is one of the best on the album and also features method man from THE WU-TANG-CLAN.

Most people will love this album, i do think it is the better album out of most of spice 1's albums and is a classics G-FUNK album which straight away is easy to listen to.

thank you for taking the time to read through my review and i hope it helped you in your choice

quick up-date. i have recieved my album let it be known and can say the album is more then great. please look out for my review

5 out of 5 stars East Bay Gangster Strikes Like Lightning.......2006-09-06

AmeriKKKa's Nightmare is arguable S.P.I's best album, if not, it's tied with his self-titled '92 heater. Over top notch beats coutresy of Blackjack, Ant Banks, Battlecat, and others, Spice 1 kills the tracks with his mentally insane and killer flows. The cat can really flow! It's tight when he starts rappin with a Jamaican voice in some hooks and verses in tracks like "Face Of A Desparate Man." The songs are laced with some awesome G-Funk beats. Battlecat creates fire on "Bustas Can't See Me;" it's perfect for gettin ya ride on down the ave. Ant Banks laces up Spice 1 with a banger in "Give The "G" Gat" The beat on "You Can Get The Gat" has more of an underground early 90's east coast beat paired with murderous rhymes; it is one of the darkest, hardest, most menacing tracks in rap music. Spice 1 takes gangsta rap to a whole new level with this and all his early albums.

Spice 1 came even more gangsta on this lp. For a man at this point in his career to do that was a feet. I don't know what he was smokin or who pist him off but he was enraged on this album. The beats on most songs are darker than any in his career. He was focused more on death. The production took a step up. The intro to the album says it all. Killem all because everybody dyin on this mf'n album. I miss real gangsta rap. Also check out Phantom of the Rapra by Bushwick Bill good stuff.

5 out of 5 stars O-Town's Finest!.......2005-12-26

Spice delivers another classic for his fourth effort (and it's one of his top 3 albums). It has 15 songs, of which 4 are classics, 2 are near classics, 6 are good, 2 are ok, and 1 I skip. Guests are few and production is great. Produced by Blackjack (4 songs), Chase & Bosko (3 songs each), Ant Banks and Payback (2 songs each). It's a shame he didn't get no airplay over here on the east coast cause he'd have definitely gone multi-platinum as he deserves to do. Even though I'm used to Southern Cali rappers from MC Eiht to Ice Cube to CJ Mac, Spice did it with 1990-Sick to put the Bay on the map of gangsta rap. The song 1990-Sick(Kill' Em All) featuring MC Eiht is a strong & heavy Thug'sta song about haulicinations, Dirty Bay is a hard classic delivered by Dr.Bomb from da Bay, Sucka Ass Nigga featuring G-Nut is a hard Ice-T like hard hitter, and of course Spice has a horrorcore song called Snitch Killas that sounds like something of the Geto Boys or Ice Cube, this is Spice's #1 Album!

Freddy Chico's best are *1(featuring MC Eiht), *2, 3, 4(featuring Kokane), 5, 6, 7, *8(featuring G-Nut), 9, 10, 11, 12, *13, 14(featuring E-40) & 15.

Wow whar a great cd. One of my 20 fafoutites cd I ever heard. Freddy Chico Spice weezy bomb music. This 1996 the platinum era of the bestr rap. The best song are CAN U FEEL IT & E-40, Surivival, Tales of the Niggas Who Got Crept On, 1-800 straight From the Pen. This is in my opinion the last great lp from Spice 1. the rest who dropp after 1996 is worst. But in my opinion 2 best spice records, I don't known who is the best is Amerikkazz Nightmare and 1999-Sick and the thierd is 187 He wrote also classizzzzzz. Muisic is great funky bass synh programing, and lyric Spice is also great, This is hardcore so this cd is not for everyone. This cd is fot thung man and gangztazzz and killers. 5 out of 5 stars Spice hits again with yet another classic.......2004-11-03

He does it again. His 5th album is yet another classic to add to his collection of many. This man shows as he ages he still can rap, and rap good. It has 3 classics, 1 song I skip, 1 that's ok and the rest are good or great. Production is great and handled by a lot of people, Paris (4 songs), ant Banks, Ric Rock, and Ali Malek (2 songs each), and Hen gee, Payback, Mike Mosely each do a song and Femi O. co-produces on 2 tracks. If he had airplay out here on the east coast I'd bet he'd have many multi-platinum plaques on his wall. That's what's wrong with rap, hardly any of the good rappers sell. All th fake a*s pu*sy's sell the most. If you wanna hear some real rap from a real cat who's been in the game puttin out albums since '88 check out Spice 1. Get this album!!

5 out of 5 stars Better than 1990-Sick.......2004-02-19

I believe the only reason this album is not liked more than hes previous effort is purely due to it being hes next release. The album is more of a 1990-Sick part 2 than a knew inovative effort and I think alot of fans expect to much of there rappers to create knew ideas and beats instead of just cranking the bass and feeling the beats and bouncing on the ride. Black Bossalini does this better than Sick although both albums are simply impressive. Spice 1 is one of the games best flowing MCs pretty much only his trade mark and annoyingly boring BLOW call takes prestige off hes name. However he has been given deep riding beats again on this album to work with and it comes off in a much enjoyable way. The opening 2 tracks are great openers especially Im High. Its a great song to listen to in that way. Ant Banks steals the show as Fetty Chico and the Mack has a typical deep funk groove by the master producer and Recognize game is up there as one of the best as well. Ballin is a fun track and Diamonds is one of the best softer produced tracks I have heard by any artist. The hook is extremely catchy. This is Spice 1s best in my opinion. It makes me wonder how he could drop so low with hes follow up to this Immortalized. Its not even worth rating.

    5 out of 5 stars SPICE 1'S LAST STAND.......2002-11-29

spice 1's self titled debut in 1991 was a 'west coast geto boys' type album, menatally unbalanced rhymes but over LA funk. however his following three albums were less inspired, musically and lyrically.

however in 1997 spice released this gem, his 5th album. for once he put together a top production team. the beats, mainly provided by paris, are deeply funky and catchy, and use low, heavy bass lines. for once spice doesn't let you down on the production tip and lyrically he's on good form.

this album just flows together perfectly, classic groove after classic groove. spice took some time off after this album and has since become 'just another rapper' unfortunately. but this, along with his self titled debut, are his classics.

    3 out of 5 stars Tight CD.......2002-05-29

This CD is pretty sick, Spice 1 puts it down. There arent too many great songs on this cd though, the 5 good ones are sick though. buy this only if you really like spice 1.

    5 out of 5 stars SPICE 1 - GREATEST MC (EVER).......2006-04-15

Being from Australia, there is not a lot of hip-hop around, and the rap that people around here do know is always the most commercial (ie. eminem, 50 cent). A friend who is also into American hip-hop introduced me to Immortalized in 2002, when I was 19. I had never heard Spice 1 before and the moment i had put it on I knew straight away that this man represented a completely unique edge within gangster rap. After hearing Immortalized I listened to the rest of Spice 1 albums, and have listened to him practically every single day since then. Spice 1 has made a huge impact on me as a human being and will continue to do so. "The Last Dance" is my favourite Spice 1 album. Spice realy shines on this album and clearly stands out over any MC that features with him. Look at tracks like 'Murder Man Dance' and listen to Spice's verse. He has so much style and can bust harder lyrics than anybody. Just listen to 'Kizz My Azz' of 2004's 'The Ridah' Just to see the amazing versatility he can create within one song, all by himself. Spice still is releasing continuos albums nearly every year, which nobody else seems to be doing. Look at his latest album 'The Truth' from 2005, which to me is already a classic. I have already listened to this cd over 50 times the whole way through and am no where near sick of it. Spice 1 doesn't get anywhere near the credibility he deserves. He is a pioneer of this genre. I already know that when I buy a new spice 1 album that there is no chance of being disappointed which is something I cannot say for any other act.

4 out of 5 stars Much better than you'd think.......2005-07-10

After close to a decade being on Jive Records and releasing some timeless classics (to me ALL of his albums on that label are classics), Spice 1 goes independent on this one. Actually, quite a few of the songs there were released on compillations, but most of the material is fresh and new. To me, this is a very important album. It's not as perfect as his previous ones, so why do I call it important? Because I think that on this album, it's the last time we get to hear Spice's trademark sick-flows. On this album, Spice came out with much energy and heat. In his albums after "Tha Last Dance" (released in 2000), it's seems that although the albums were good, Spice 1 lost his edge a little bit. But on this album, you still get some of the old Spice 1. The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are that first of all, there are quite a few mediocre guest rappers on it, and that takes away from the album quite a bit. However you also get some awesome star appearences - C-Bo, MJG, UGK, Bad Azz and Black C all come out with some tight verses and cotribute a lot to the songs they're on. Most of the production is still very good, handled by some relatively known producers (such as G-Man Stan, DJ Squaky, DJ Daryl and a few others) and that's also something that changes in his future albums (Spicebierg Slim and The Rydah) were produced mostly by some no-name producers. As I told you, Spice 1 came out with quite much heat on this album, lyrically he still doesn't dissapoint, although he's not as original and violent as he once was. The bottom line is that "The Last Dance" (I have no idea why he named it that way - maybe he thought it would be his last album) is a solid West Coast album, by one of it's legends Spice 1 - still hungry, still gangsta, and still one of the realest ones out there. This album was very slept-on, since it was released on a small label (Mobb Status?? - who are these guys?) In these days, when we're surrounded by those industry-made-thugs Spice 1 is just something else, and he stands above his competition and he deserves his music to be heard.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best Spice 1 albums - and that says a lot!.......2004-12-12

Wow! From the minute you pop the CD into your stereo, you will be amazed! Spice 1 doesn't bother with an intro song for this CD, it comes out banging hard from the second it starts. It's not strictly party music, gangster music or mellow, but instead a mix of the three together. Anybody who's looking for a refreshing change to mainsteam from everybody else, I'd suggest buying this CD. Trust me, your friends will wonder how you found such an underrated rapper.

    4 out of 5 stars solid 7th solo cd from a great.......2004-11-03

Spice 1 comes out hard once again. Has a few great songs on this one but also has a few below-par songs (which I think he's only made less than a half dozen on his fist 6 solo efforts). Nevertheless it's a good cd and a must have for Speezy Ace fans, as usual he doesn't let you down. Production is pretty good and handle by a number of producers, G-Man Stan (4 songs), DJ Squeaky (2 songs), and Pimp C, BLACKjack, Payback, Sean T, DJ Darryl, and Beezie 200 all do 1 song. All he needed was some airplay on the east coast and he'd have sold over 15 million solo records. It has 1 classic, 2 near classics, and only 1 weak track and 2 that are ok. He's been puttin' out quality cd's on major labels since late '91 and made his first cd in '88 so you know he's got longevity & skill.

i was VERY pleased with this cd. i mean every song is good, and they added a couple skits from Meance II Society in there too(nice touch). this is for any rap fans...period. but if u like Spice 1 or MC Eiht, youll luv and apreciate this cd more than your average, run-of-the-mill rap fan. so find it and buy it.

3 out of 5 stars For big Spice 1 / MC Eiht fans only.......2005-06-13

There's no question about Spice 1 and MC Eiht's status as West Coast legends. During the last decade, both of them were two of the biggest name coming from the West Coast - Eiht representing Compton, while Spice 1 representing the Bay Are. So the title of the album suits them well. However, this album isn't what you would've expected from such great artists. The truth is that both of them have their best years behind them and both have fallen off just a little bit during the last 3 or 4 years. It seems like they lost their edge a little bit... Now, don't get me wrong the album is good, and definitely better than most albums coming out these days, but with such huge names I expected more. The biggest problem seems to the production, which is handled by some totally unknown producers. Some of the beats are trully great (and on those songs The Pioneers come out with their best verses), but on about half of the songs, the beat just doesn't fit Eiht and Spice's styles - some of the beats are just way too happy sounding, while Eiht and Spice excel on wicked type of beats. Overall, out of the 14 songs (there is 2 useless skits and a solo by Hollow Tip that I didn't count) about half is trully great ,but the other half just doesn't live to the expactations (mostly because of the beats, but also because it seems Spice and Eiht didn't put enough effort with their verses), making an impression that a part of the album was kind of rushed. I know for sure, that with some better known producers and a bit more time put into writing the verses, the album could've been a classic. But I guess they worked with what they had, and made the best of it. The bottom line is that it you are a big Spice 1 and MC Eiht fan, like I am, you should get the album for it's great songs (classic cuts like "Keeping Me High", "I Ain't Scared", "It's About That Time" and a few others ).

    3 out of 5 stars "Pioneers" Review.......2004-12-14

If you can't get enough of that West Coast gangsta rap then the idea of Compton veteran MC Eiht and East Bay gangsta Spice-1 teaming up for an entire album probably has you foaming at the mouth. Eiht and Spice had previously collaborated on 1993's smash hit, "The Murder Show" and the title track for Spice's "1990-Sick" album (just to name a few) and have proven to have quite a chemistry on wax. The two O.G.'s on the California rap scene are ready to get them lowriders bouncing once again with "The Pioneers".

First thing that needs to be made clear is that of the seventeen tracks on this album, two are skits, four are solo joints, and one is a bonus track from Hollow Tip's solo album that doesn't feature either Eiht or Spice. If you're doing the math that means there are actually only ten tracks that feature both artists together. For those of you who emphasize quality over quantity, ten solidly-produced bangers featuring the two is nothing to frown on. Well, not all of the tracks are bangers. There are some crazy tracks on here though. "That's The Way Life Goes" has both rappers spitting it like only they can over a hot beat from DJ Epik. "Can't Stop Us" and "Been A Long Time" continue to give fans of both what they want to hear. "Do Better", a Spice-1 solo is one of the finest tracks on the album and the duo's "The Murder Show Pt. 2" does justice to the classic original.

"Pioneers" isn't an instant classic and it's not gonna convert anyone who didn't care for Eiht or Spice before this but if you're a die-hard fan of either one or both then you'll want to pick it up. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, the beats aren't the quality of Dr. Dre production but there are some hot ones here. "Pioneers" is what it is. A collaboration between two veteran rappers that should easily please both of their fan bases and earn them both a little bank as well.

4 out of 5 stars 2 west coast vets together should = fire.......2004-11-03

Spice 1 & MC Eiht are true west coast pioneers. Both been around since the late 80's, Both have been a part of over 13 cd's, both don't put out bad albums, both don't get enough airplay (at least on teh east coast I don't know about the west), and both should have over 20 million sold if they got that much deserved airplay. This cd is pretty good and a must have, although I did think it would be better; but it's still good. It has 2 almost classic songs, 1 ok song, 1 I skip (which Spice or Eiht isn't on) and the rest are just good, not great. Production is lacking a little, but the producers are ones I barely heard of: Mark Knoxx, Goldfingaz, & DJ Epik, with one song done by Warrington. Guests are very minimal and each has 2 solo songs on here.

It's about time two of the best rappers alive today have joined together to do a whole album. Great disc definetly buy this c.d. worth every penny. Best tracks are " We Run The Block" and " I Ain't Scared " some of the songs are a little mellow but you cannot go wrong with these two on the same disc. I enjoyed every second of bumpin this in my ride.

5 out of 5 stars another best of album classic for Fetty Chico.......2004-11-03

Spice delivers again with his second of three best of albums. This cat only needed a little airplay on the east coast and he would have a numerous amount of multi-platinum plaques on his wall. He is one of the greatest and you gotta check out all (...). No one raps like him or can rap like him changing styles the way he does. This one has some of his best songs from his first 7 albums and a few other great songs that he collaborated with other artists off of their cd's. Gotta check out this cd, it's GREAT.

I first started listening to spice 1 when I moved from N.Y to ATL! He's the one that introduced me to the west coast for real. Tight rhymes and beats. I own all of his albums and they all are worth buying, but this one has all the hits wraped in one........HOLLA

    4 out of 5 stars A rap legend.......2001-12-16

The first Spice 1 "Hits" seemed to leave out some of Spice's best songs to date. Luckily, Vol.2 manages to include most of Spice's best work to date. For some reason, Spice left out the 3 best tracks from "AmeriKKKa's Nightmare" on the first Hits cd, but they're all here- "Strap on the Side", "Doncha Runaway", and the classic "Face of a Desperate Man".

Another reason to buy this album is the hard to find "I Got 5 On it" Remix, featuring the Bay area's finest- Spice, E-40, Luniz, Richie Rich, Dru Down, and Digital Underground. I don't know of any other CD with this track on it, although I've heard that it was on some BET anniversary album.

The high point of the CD comes on track 8, "Dusted & Disgusted", which is from E-40's CD "In a Major Way". On this track, E-40, Spice 1, Mac Mall, and 2Pac spin off of each other in what was one of the best rap songs of the 90's.

In the end, Spice would have been better served to only put out 1 Greatest Hits Cd- some of the tracks, on both CDs, are far from being great. But the "Hits Vol. 2" is still a good purchase for any rap fan, and it's better than the 1st Spice "Hits" cd.

Spice 1 has the tightest songs around and alot of his best ones are on vol.1 and vol.2 that includes songs like face of a desperate man and doncha runaway he has the most awesome songs of the 90's and 00/01.
