Album Description
"Clear" represents years of work and change for Michael Sadler. After decades with the multi-platinum award winning band Saga and countless worldwide tours, Michael needed an opportunity to express himself outside the confines of Saga. As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Michael was in a very good position to be able to realize his dream and complete a deeply personal album that covers a lot of intense territory. This CD will appeal to any Saga fan for sure, and fans of well crafted tunes in general.
Customer Reviews:
Clear by M. Sadler is CLEARLY AWESOME!.......2006-08-27
This is a MOST impressive solo production by Michael Sadler. What an awesome gift for writing lyrics... and the music is as fantastic as any SAGA CD yet produced! Amazing CD that I highly recommend to ANY SAGA or Michael Sadler vocals fan!!
Very good solo release from Saga's lead singer.......2006-06-03
This album is very well produced. Michael Sadler's voice is in top shape and the songs are well produced and catchy. A very good album.
Saga's Michael Sadler makes a nice one........2006-02-07
A pleasant, very well executed cd from one of my favorite and unique voices in rock music. If you like Toto and later Ambrosia with a sprinkle of Saga, this will do you very well.
don't worry.......2005-03-30
I was hooked the first time I ever saw "Careful Where You Step" on MTV a long, long time ago. I've followed Saga ever since, sometimes overwhelmed, sometimes not so much. I was very interested when I first became aware of "Clear", but I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive when I saw the photos of Michael with some lines in his face and gray in the stubble on his chin. But then I listened to the CD. Don't worry. The mightiest tenor in all of rock hasn't lost a thing over the years. This album is somewhat like Saga from the later years... plus. Vocals, harmony, melody, writing, instrumentals, extremely high production values - it's all there, and the added kick of having Michael bare his soul about things obviously dear to him. Yes, there is definitely a style, a sound, to his comositions, but if you've ever liked anything he's done, this CD is well worth the purchase.
Great job Sadler.......2005-02-10
If you like Saga, you are going to love this. The power & drive of Saga is all there. One of the best rock cds I've heard in a while. YYAAA!!!

You gotta give it up 4 the Crips on this track, man! Peace to the Rollin' 60's & Nutty Blocc Crips, even though the Crip gangs may have rappers that give us C's a bad name like Snoop Doggy Doggy Dogg & Tha Mutt Pound, the Crips still have good rap artists such as Eazy-E, B.G. Knocc Out & Dre'sta, MC Eiht, CMW, CJ Mac, Lil' C-Style, MC Ren, Ice Cube, WC, Lil' Eazy, Coolio, Da Lynch Mob, Above The Law, Kokane, Scarface, The Geto Boys, C-Bo, Lil' 1/2 Dead, Swoop G & many other rappers. Peace to DJ Quik, 2pac, Outlawz, Hi-C, Mausberg, The Game, AMG, Mack 10, AllFrumTha-I & Cypress Hill who were members of the M.O.B. Piru Bloods. Still have to give it up 4 my C-walking homies, Crips-4-Life!
Banging On Wax 2: Saga Continues best hits are G's & Locs, East Side Rip Rider, Slob 187 & Slobs Keep On Slippin', also muthaphukk the Damu Rhidaz aswell!
Big Freeze and crew saved the crabz..........2005-07-04
from being completely sorry...the crabz came back really strong. The trade off songs with Bloods and crabz were all awesome, it's really something amazing to listen to, hearing these g's trade off like that. Lil Hawk and krew held the Blood saga with another 5 star rating, but i have to admit that the crabz did a LOT better job on here. East Side Rip Rider, 187 and the rest of the crab songs are actually worth listening to unlike the first Bangin On Wax, which was a disgrace to crabz everywhere...highly recommended for fans of REAL gangsta rap straight off the streets..

Emerging quickly from the aftermath of Sean "P. Diddy" Combs's New York-club shooting trial is the optimistically titled The Saga Continues, a compilation masquerading as Combs's third solo album. Though he was found not guilty, the incident is clearly very fresh in the Bad Boy CEO's mind. On the mic, he vents about the criminal justice system and player haters, and he also dedicates a thinly veiled verse to his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, on "I Need a Girl." The only thing that's changed about Combs since his last outing is his name (from Puff Daddy to P. Diddy). On the mildly gritty "Bad Boy for Life," he raps "Don't worry if I write rhymes / I write checks," and the wholesale musical swipes of the past are just a little subtler now. The Neptunes-produced "Diddy" pilfers from Rakim, Boogie Down Productions, and Nice & Smooth, and even recent Bad Boy product is fair game, as Black Rob's "Whoa!" is recycled on "That's Crazy." Most of the rest of the production and vocal contributions here come from a mix of loyalists and newcomers, and predictably wallow in mediocrity. Aside from Faith Evans and Carl Thomas ("Can't Believe"), on this album's evidence, the Bad Boy Family is now pretty nondescript. The loss of key franchise players over the years to death, departure, religious conversion, and prison means Combs and his label will themselves need an equally drastic turnaround to scale their previous heights. --Del F. Bad Boy's Return To The Top.......2006-12-14
After being acquitted, Diddy released his strongest work in years with The Saga Continues. With it's first single Let's Get It produced by Rockwilder and feat. Black Rob & G-Dep it was clear that Bad Boy was back. The album also featured the hit singles Diddy,Bad Boy For Life and I Need A Girl.
P. Diddy - The Saga Continues..........2006-10-16
After another two years since his last release, "Forever," Puff Daddy, now P. Diddy returns with his 3rd solo album. It's filled with lots of features showcasing the newest bad boy roster and some tracks Diddy isn't even on so I guess this is kind of like a compilation. Can Bad Boy survive in the new millenium or will they end up extinct just like Death Row and Ruthless?

Being a big fan of Bad Boy and all, this album really let me down. There's a couple great tracks, a couple wack tracks and the rest are good but nothing memorable. The production lacked majorly for the most part not to mention there's multiple tracks where Diddy isn't even on so people buying this album to just hear him will be disapointed as well. Probably the wackest cd Bad Boy ever put out. Don't even bother with this effort.
Proactive is helping him preserve his sexy.......2006-09-08
Sean "Puffy" Combs, Puffy Daddy, Sean John, P Diddy or Diddy. When he figures out what he wants to be called is when I figure out if I like him. Meanwhile, there still isn't one good DVD set for Star Wars.
The Saga Continues by P. Diddy.......2006-02-14
For years now, Puff has been telling us all that Bad Boy "can't stop", "wont stop" and that they "don't even know how to stop." On the title track of P Diddy and the Family's newest album, "The Saga Continues", Puff switches it up a little and says, "There's certain things in live that you can stop, and there's certain things in life that can't be stopped." A fitting intro to the CD, being that the sample off the track is also used by the Chicago Bulls upon their entrance onto the basketball court.
Although "The Saga Continues" was supposed to be a Bad Boy compilation rather then a Puff solo, Puff fills the album with in-house guest spots in an effort to really give everyone a taste of what's to come. The stars of the album are the usual suspects, Black Rob, G-Dep, and Mark Curry. But many newcomers also make their presence felt, such as former Harlem World member Loon, Bristal, the Hoodfellaz, and Kain, Puff's Caucasian prodigy. While some may wonder who all these new guys are, don't worry; you'll know who they all are soon enough.
For anyone left doubting of G-Dep's skill, the album features a great number of guest appearances from Dep, including one of only three solo tracks. On "Child of the Ghetto", also the name of Dep's upcoming opus, Dep laces an eerie violin beat courtesy of Coptic, with grimy descriptions of ghetto life on the streets of Harlem. Of course, there's also the sonic hit "Lets Get It" along with "Blast Off" which also features Mark Curry and Loon. Nearly every track that G-Dep appears on is tight, which hopefully will reflect his upcoming solo album.
Aside from Dep, the other neophytes assure their roles in the game and shine in their own right. Mark Curry and his husky voice provide the finale verse on the current single "Bad Boy 4 Life", and he also appears on the album finale "The Last Song". Over a hype mechanical beat, Curry claims he's"...the official bona fide, tested and tried, I get in like cancer and work from the inside..." Even the white rapper trend is taken to another level by Puff. On the g-funkish "Lonely", Kain spits "Come on Mya ride it with me, leave the lame respect the game, when you hangin on my arm you expect the same, an ecstasy when you sex the Kain, I only link with the wealthiest and only cop jewels if it drops Celsius..." Recently incarcerated Shyne however, is nowhere to be found on the album. That's probably the most disappointing element of the entire album.
There are a few appearances by outsiders, such as Kokane on "Lonely" and Eightball & MJG on "Roll With Me". The R & B element is kept pretty much to a minimum, with a few appearances by upstart Cheri Dennis, and of course the beautiful "Can't Believe" by Carl Thomas and Faith. The typical Hitmen producers aren't as prominent on this cd either, focusing more on works by Yogi and Mario "Yellow Man" Winans. Not to say that these aren't welcome changes, both Yogi and Yellow Man produce some of the albums best tracks. There's also a few notable others, such as the aforementioned Coptic, Bink on "The Last Song", Buckwild on the Cheri Dennis solo "So Complete", and "producers of the moment" the Neptunes on possibly the albums worst song, "Diddy".
Overall, if this is what is to be expected from Bad Boy in the future, then Puff can rest assured that he'll be riding the top for a long while. His production, r & b, and lyrical squads are unparalleled by any other label. Hopefully Puff will keep the boys busy in the studio and we'll be enjoying a plethora of new material well into the new millennium. Stay up Shyne, we miss you.

Cool Sdtk...But..........2006-10-04
I'm gonna keep this one short & sweet...I'm a lifetime fan of Star Wars, loved the music as much as I've loved the movies themselves, sought to buy the original scores, had to choose between the real deal and this one, saved 20 bucks buying the Story Continues, and loved it from day one. However, once listened to a few times from start to finish one can't help but spot the obvious, while this is an awesome production and re-recording of the original scores, the Global Stage Orchestra relies solely on synthesized instruments and you can feel the absence of REAL instruments. But it's still a keeper...especially for the Imperial death march. ~*REDD*~
Actually a decent re-recording of classics.......2006-10-01
Let me start out by saying that this album isn't nearly as bad as many people are saying. I bought it about a year ago at a store up here when the initial album I was looking for was sold out. Not wanting to leave empty handed, I glanced around and found this totally by chance (maybe the force made me find it, who knows:)) and decided to give it a shot.
I wasn't entirely sure of what to expect when I put it in once I got back. Initially after the first fifteen minutes of listening to it, I started to feel as if I maybe should have bought something else, BUT at the same time it was still catchy enough to leave in until the end of the first disc. Before I knew it, I listened to all three discs in one sitting while working on a paper and I must say, it was definitely worth whatever I payed for it.
The music is different enough where if you're getting tired of listening to the same things over and over, you can put it in and not worry about listening to something you've heard millions of times over. However the music is similar enough where if you're in a Star Wars mood, you can put it in and still be satisfied.
The "sythnesized" Star Wars sound is very catchy after a while and a very good addition to any hard core Star Wars fans' collection, or just to anyones collection of music in general. It's interesting to hear how the music is still able to catch all of the emotion that is in the original soundtracks (especially in Episode III) and still sound different. I will admit that the tracks seem to be a bit out of "order". While episodes 4, 5 and 6 come first (which is fine) episode 2 is next, followed by 1, then episode 3, and then back to episode 2 again. Not sure why this is, but it's not a real big deal, just a little odd. Definitely worth buying if you're into collecting all things Star Wars.
Fake instruments leave much to be desired.......2006-01-21
The synthesized instruments sound horrible. First off, when I bought this, I saw the name "Global Stage Orchestra" and was looking forward to hearing an orchestra -- of real instruments. What I was in for was a bad synthesized interpretation of John Williams wonderful music. If he were dead, I'm sure that he would roll over in his grave.
Many instruments sound so bad that it's distracting. For example, the smooth woodwind lines in "Duel of the Fates" sound detached and mechanical. Some brass instruments (which Williams uses liberally) sound more like car horns. Obviously not put together by a vocalist... the rear cover reads "MUSIC AND VOCALS PERFORMED BY THE GLOBAL STAGE ORCHESTRA." Apparently vocals are not music... which may be close to the truth in this case, since the vocals sound like hollow midi sampled voices. With so many great recordings out there... spend the extra few dollars and get a recording from a real orchestra.
The Force is NOT strong with this one..........2005-07-11
My friend loaned me these CD's recently, and let me say they are nothing compared to the original soundtracks.
The recordings sound actually half decent for synthesized instruments, but after hearing the superb London Symphony Orchestra in the original recordings, any artificial orchestra (and even some real orchestras!) is a real let-down. Especially painful are the sequences which call for lots of brass; the LSO was so great at delivering a theme at full blast in an intense action scene, and the MIDI brass just sounds cheesey. The interpretation is poor in a few key sequences as well, too.
Star Wars fans really deserve better than this; get the re-mastered trilogy set:

up to date with revenge of the sith.......2005-06-01
I just purchased this 3cd set while in Europe. It's indeed not the original soundtracks but high-quality "studio orchestra" selections from all 6 of the Star Wars movies, including R.O. Sith, mastered in SBM 24 bit sound. A good listen for Star Wars and John Williams fans at a nice price, attractively packaged in a 3 cd fold out digipack.
