Three stars for Scrappy; Trillville gets none........2006-10-29
I don't really like crunk. Most crunk sounds identical to me, especially when it comes from Lil' Jon's camp of rappers, and has his annoying adlibs laced throughout each beat(OOOOOOOOOKAY!). I like some forms of crunk, such as the style Three 6 Mafia has made famous, as well as the H-Town trunk rattling crunk they've produced; but Lil' Jon's music is just really bland.
Trillville is a typical Lil' Jon project. Loud, and abrasive rappers screaming nonsensical gangsterisms over a beat you could've sworn you just heard on the last track, albeit with minor adjustments. They have no substance, nor personality at all, and are much like Lil' Jon's only backing group, the Eastside Boyz, only with an added member; you really can't tell there are three rappers in this triad, however, because they all sound remarkably similar. Lil' Jon's production is obnoxious on this side of the album, and the only track that ever slightly gets over is "Weakest Link," simply because of the gimmick it portrays. Honestly, Trillville's effort would've been lucky to ascend above one star had this album been released without their superior counterpart.
As the reviewer below me insinuated, Lil' Scrappy is not a good lyricist. He has nothing more to say than the average commercial cat, and for Scrappy, it's mostly about guns, drugs, and women; especially guns. On this release, he didn't have the fetish he currently has for money(no doubt due to G-Unit), and mostly came with raw, aggressive lyrics about popping caps in fools' ***es. Does that sound like a generic rapper to you? Indeed it does. However, Scrappy possesses more charisma, and energy than most cats you're going to find today. No one has sounded this good screaming into a microphone since Sticky Fingaz(although Scrap lacks Sticky's absurd humor, brilliant concepts, and occasionally thought provoking lyrics), and while others may attempt what Scrappy does, they all seem to fail. Scrappy makes tracks like "No Problem," "Head Bussa," and "F.I.L.A." because he presents himself as a larger than life performer, and due to his natural charisma, makes you believe it.
So what this tends to be, in the end, is an above-average EP that showcases the potential of Lil' Scrappy, marketed as a double-album with the bland personication of a cliche, Trillville. It gets three stars for Scrappy, and would be worth checking if you're willing to spend around $15 bucks for an EP; however, if you're not, I suggest you just wait for Lil' Scrappy's full-length debut, due out later this year.
Scrappy's a "hip hop heavy metal star".......2006-07-05
I don't pretend to know all the ends and outs of crunk music and Lil Scrappy is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrr from being anywhere near my favorite rapper, but I have to admit his music & style are growing on me.
If you're looking for mind-twisting lyrical prowess like TuPac, Nas, Scarface, Jay-Z or even a Lil Wayne or Chamillionaire now, this ain't the album for you.
The art and creativity of a artist like Lil Scrappy is in making high-energy, adrenaline-rushing frenzied kinda music. It's more of a cathartic, emotional and spiritual kind of release ... at least that's what I get from it.
Have you ever been amped up and ready to stomp someone who pissed you off (of course, stopping short of action)? Do you like getting revved up to help get you in a hype, party mood? Have you ever listened to music just get some kind of release?
That's the kind of music Lil Scrappy makes.
Some will listen to this album and "get it" and some won't -- that's how I see it.
As far as entertainment goes, this isn't a bad listen although I bought this CD strictly for Scrap's contribution.
That's where the three-stars come from.
If you're into high energy, rowdy kinda music -- "hip hop mosh pit" kinda stuff if you will -- you'll enjoy most of what Scrappy's music has to offer.
From what I hear about his forthcoming album, like it or not, this is an artist on the come-on.
Decent album........2006-03-21
I think this album is OK.Some tracks are crap while other are tight as hell.Best ones are:Head Bussa,What the F**K,No problem. As for Trillville the best tracks are Neva Eva,Weakest Link, the Bonus track. This album would be better if there weren't as many skits.
Lil Scrappy - Kings Of Crunk & BME Recordings Present Lil Scrappy & Trillville.......2006-01-03
The first debut from Lil Scrappy. He blew out of the south, and everyone was feelin his joints. Lil Scrappy is one of those more energetic rappers, with the up beat hard bangers spittin that killer sh**. I can tell you right now, that the production on this album, about everyone will probably be feeling. Has a southern feel to it, but then again some of the beats are kinda ehh, not that good with his style. But overall the production is pretty hott. The lyrics, Lil Scrappy, is more of a crunk style rapper, so therefore his lyrics arent top notch, because of the style he portrays. He has more of that Head Bustin, he gonna fu** you up type of sh**. Mainstream rap fans will probably like this album a lot, along with crunk fans. Crunk fans will like this album a lot. One thing that is dissapointing about the album, is the amount of skits, a brand new rapper coming out, doesnt need to be putting out worthless skits in his album, but replacing them with full tracks. Skits mainly show laziness. He has quite a few singles off this album, the most popular one was "No Problem". Which everyone has heard. The first 10 songs are "Lil Scrappy" solo songs. Then the last 10 are "Trillville". The other 3 cats that Scrappy raps with. The best song off the second part is "Neva Eva". The amped up vibe and style it puts off is ill. Trillville are decent, but then again not that great. This album, lacks originality in my opinion, while only keeping it faintly. if your a mainstream rap/crunk/south rap fan, this album is for you! If you want lyrical rap, look elsewhere. Check this out.

Yeahhh.......2006-07-31
This is one of the crunkest albums ever made. Hot songs all on the album. My favorite is Get Some Crunk In Yo System w/ P. troy. I only had one problem and it is with all the skits take them off and put some other songs on it. Go out and buy this rite now!
YES!!!!.......2006-07-27
This is what all current young rappers should use as a role model. With club-hoppin' as popular as ever, Trillville inserts a hardcore message into all of these bangers, and the result is a disk full of rap anthems for today's listeners.
The best song is "Get Some Crunk In Your System". There's no complicated message here, they're just telling you to get hyped for the music. It's a great song to listen to on your way to work, too. The next-best song is "F.I.L.A.", and both of these songs are meant to bump. This is why subwoofers were invented. Get ready to go deaf.
I only dislike the radio song, "Somecut". It's sappy garbage that's boring. Thank God that the very next song is an absolute banger.
Other than "Somecut", you could pick any track from this album and bump it through your subwoofers. I think this album is a classic. Every single track is hot.
Crunk as hell.......2005-08-25
Man I've waitin a long time for this album, man and the Trillest of Trll, Trillville, and tha prince of tha south Lil Scrappy deliver. Man the production was on this hit was SICK!!! Lil Jon did better beats on this then his own album. First Trill, Big Mouf, L.A., and the overhyped Don P can spit some heavy Crunk sh#t. Best songs on thier part Neva Eva, Get some crunk in your system, weakest link, some cut, and The Hood.Best from the prince of crunk, What the F#CK, No Problem, .F.I.L.A., Be Real, and Gone. He's a true bonified hustla. and wacth out for his new album Born to Die. and Trilville's album Reloaded. Peace til tha next review.

Album Description
Earlier 2004, The King Of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Trillville & Lil Scrappy went Top 5 R&B and Top 15 pop, scoring hits with Lil Scrappy's "No Problem" (Top 15 Rap/Top 20 R&B)and Trillville's "Neva Eva" (Top 30 Rap and R&B). Now the full album (the version with the Lil Scrappy cover) has been remixed and slowed (i.e.,chopped and screwed) and two new tracks are added the promo-only "Neva Eva" featuring Twista and a new remix of "No Problem" featuring Slim Thug. For fans of the Dirty South and the party-time, street-smart hip-hop phenomenon known as "crunk," The King Of Crunk & BME Recordings Present:Lil Scrappy & Trillville Chopped & Screwed is the most sinister, hypnotic and freaky album in the kingdom.

Another Wack a$$ album from the south.......2005-09-19
Here we go again with this wack south $hit! Just garbage! Thats all I have to say about this album. Again if you like this album it's probably becasue you dont have the vocabulary to listen to real hip hop.
This album and all that other crap rap from the south is GARBAGE!
CRUNKADELIC! .......2005-07-21
YEAH!
I HEARD THE REGULAR VERSION AFTER THIS & IT SOUNDS TOO FAST!
PSYCHODELIC & SICK & HEAVY & FUNKY & NOT WELL.
ANYONE RECOMMEND SOME HEAVY SCREW TO A U.K. CHAP?...
TOODLE PIP.
POW!
WELL.....AIIGHT!.......2005-02-19
I agree, some of these songs don't sound right screwed, but the whole nature of the talent of 5000 Watts, made this album raw! You can't go wrong buying this CD, but once again, you have to understand the music before purchasing this Cd.
u gots to get it.......2005-02-01
if u dont know what chopped and screwed is then dont worry bout it, but if u think its hot than u gots to get it!!!plus DJ micheal 5000 watts from the swishwhouse chopped it up so thats even better.its ATL crunk music and its chopped thats 2 good.
Not worth buying.......2005-01-29
More than half the songs on this album sound lame BECAUSE they were slowed down. The original songs sounded the way they did for a reason, slowing them down took everything out of them that made them worth listening to over and over again (for example the song "Some Cut"). On top of that, the two added songs aren't even that great. In my opinion the only good thing about the whole album was Twista's appearance on it. So all in all; ITS NOT WORTH BUYING. Anyone considering buying it is better off buying Lil Scrappy and Trillville's seperate CD's.
